Nupur had been late that night looking for jobs. She knew Ridhimma would be waiting so she hurriedly started moving on from an office where she had been for an interview. The weather conditions didn't really seem to be good and she could know there were all chances of a rain.

When she had covered just a little distance, it started raining. Luckily her files were safe in her bag and all she was concerned about was to get home as soon as she could.

She was moving on the road when she felt someone was following her. She turned around to find nobody but moments later she saw three guys behind her. She immediately turned around and started nearly running. Their gazes were not good ones at all---infact evil ones!!

Her pace became even faster when she felt those guys had started chasing her. She tried running as fast as she could. At one point, she got too exhausted to run further and ensuring those guys were quite far. she took a moment's rest. All of a sudden, someone pulled her by her hand and she felt herself being dragged. She was about to scream but that person's hand was on her mouth before she could protest. After a moment of intense fear, her heart felt relieved to find Mayank in front of her.

Mayank said softly:"Ssshh..Nupur..main hoon!!"

Nupur was standing against a wall and Mayank very close to her looking around if those guys were there or they had left. Nupur was staring at Mayank...she felt protected, secure...nothing in the world could harm her. Those three men were there to be seen now and one of them said:"Aye....kahan chali gayi wo?!shesh..."

Mayank's hand closed tightly and his anger was so very clear on his face..he was about to head for them when Nupur got hold of him and said:"Nahi Mayank.."

Mayank immediately looked at her...his hard expressions immediately soft...she looked at him too but then remembering what he had told her sometime back, she moved her gaze away from him. When the two sensed no danger and were pretty much ensured those guys had left, they came out.

Nupur started walking faster and Mayank started following her:"Nupur.....Nupur..."when she didn't turn to look at him, he got her by her arm and said:"Tum meri baat kyun nahi sun rahi?"

Nupur instantly moved his hand and kept on walking. When Mayank knew nothing could stop her he said:"I love you Nupur..."

She stopped....she had to stop...and he knew it...there were tears in her eyes and she turned around to find Mayank bent on his knees right behind her...his hands joined together...his face asking for forgiveness...Nupur tried to speak up but Mayank had started already:"Nupur...mujhe pata hai k main ne...main ne tumhein bohat hurt kia hai...I am sorry Nupur...please...please mujhe maaf kardo...par main kia karta Nupur...tum..tum mujh par kuch aisa asar kar chuki thi k...."He paused for a little while and then continued:"Mayank Sharma...main aisa nahi tha Nupur...mujhe toh ye bhi samajh nahi aaya tha k main ne tumhein job kyun di thi...even though, tumne toh kabhi mujhse ache se baat nahi ki thi...tumse..tumse ek lagao ho gaya tha mujhe...tab hi toh tumhari aankho mein aansu chubte the mujhe...aur isi liye Pari wali baat par itna gussa aaya tha mujhe...sach kahoon toh jab mujhe Pari k baare mein pata chala ussi din ehsaas hoa k tum mere liye kia ho...isi liye main tumhare ghar gaya tha aur tab mujhe pata chala sab kuch...tumhare papa, Gunjan, Samrat aur Pari...sab jaan chuka hoon main.."He took a moment or two to speak up again:"pata nahi kaise ye rishta jud gaya tumse...and..."he whispered:"I started loving you Nupur...I love you..."

Nupur was too shook to speak up. Mayank got up. Nupur stared at him and after a moment spoke:"Waah!!Ye acha hai...pehle dil todo aur phir maafi maang lo.."

Mayank:"Nupur.."

But Nupur cut him off with a higher tone:"Nahi Mayank..."her voice then lowered and she started looking away from Mayank:"Pata hai Mayank...jab Samrat aur Gunjan ki shaadi hoyi thi tab main ye maan ne lagi thi k haan pyar toh hota hai..par jab Gunjan chali gayi tab..tab mera toh..mera toh jaise pyaar par se bharosa hi uth gaya..."she smiled at her stupidity and said:"Par main bewakoof....tumse mil kar phir se in baato par vishwaas karne lagi..."she looked at Mayank again who had been listening to her very carefully:"Haan Mayank...Pari meri beti nahi hai...par..par main usse bohat pyaar karti hoon...shayad utna...jitna main khud apni beti se bhi kabhi na karoon...us k saath ek aisa rishta hai mera jis ka koi khaas naam toh nahi par bas hai....aur ab...ab mujhe sirf ussi ek rishte ki fikar hai...aur kissi ki nahi...kisi ki bhi nahi...!!"

She turned around when Mayank called her again:"Aisa hi ek rishta tumhare mere beech bhi hai Nupur...tum usse kaise bhool sakti ho?"

Nupur didnt turned for she knew she was lying:"Hamare beech koi rishta nahi hai Mayank!!"

Mayank wasnt ready to accept this and he moved ahead and got hold of her again:"Acha...kuch nahi hai hamare beech...kuch bhi nahi...?!toh phir kyun jab main tumhare paas aata hoon tumhare dil ki dhakanein tez ho jaati hai.."At this Nupur looked up..he continued in a slightly lower tone:"Kyun us din mujhe kisi aur k saath dekh kar tum insecure ho rahi thi?"His voice lowered with each question and he went very close to her:"Kyun tum office se off hone k baad bhi us din office aayi thi?Kyun?Bolo Nupur.."

Nupur tried to get away from him but he didnt let her do so. He held her tightly and constantly stared at her. All Mayank saw was a girl who tried to lie but she couldnt...who felt helpless...Nupur's facial expressions somehow betrayed her words..and Mayank knew she felt the same....he had a very soft expression on his face and he said:"Keh do Nupur...please..."so close were the two and he whispered again:"Please.."

The tears finally came flooding and before she could try to ignore anything, she hugged him...and he instantly hugged her back...he closed his eyes and so did she for all the two wanted to feel was..........................each other's presence....😳
