Part 2

"What the hell are doing here? Asked Karan yelling at the top of his lungs. He had already too much to deal with and Shilpa showing up here wasn't helping his case.

"I came here to get my best friend back", she replied calmly not to lose her patience. She wasn't the only one who had done it. Shilpa was terribly embarrassed after Sukirti had found out about them and gone back to US. But the guilt was killing her so she came back.

"Yeah good luck with that, she won't even look at your face".

"Don't blame all this on me, you are just as wrong as I am and we have to make this right with her; no matter what we have to go through".

Drashti and Mayank joined Shilpa and Karan looking a little suspicious. Before they could say anything Shilpa thought it would better if she would say something that could make them help Karan and her.

"Please guys don't me mad at us. It was really a mistake and I can't bear losing another friend."

"What about Sukirti? I can't bear looking at her and thinking that all her friends have given up on her. I don't want to shake hands with her enemy. I'm not going to be involved in any of your plans", said Drashti looking straight at Shilpa's eyes. Not even with a change in her voice she started to blame Shilpa.

"Do you even know the meaning of friendship? Do you know how low you've gone? I won't ever forgive you Shilpa", Drashti felt good having to let that out.

"Drashti, please understand I made a mistake, and I'm desperately sorry for it", Shilpa replied.

"Yeah that's the point you were desperate", saying this Drashti walked off the canteen.

"Dude you've messed up big time", said Mayank to both Shilpa and Karan.

Getting a little too frustrated by the judging comments made by her friends, Shilpa too left the canteen.

Next day

All the interns of Sanjeevani hospital gathered together for their duties to be given by Dr. Keerti. Sukirti hurriedly put her coat on and ran towards where the meeting was. Sukirti knew Dr. Keerti would be mad at her even if she was a second late. And it had been more than 5 minutes since she heard the announcement that said "Sab interns Dr. Keerti ke cabin me hazeer ho". She knew she was trouble now. Unable to catch her breath she reached to Dr. Keerti's cabin finding Mayank, Drashti, Karan and Shilpa there. Now she didn't feel too bad for being just a tad late. But to her surprise Dr. Keerti was not in her cabin, so she was saved. Sukirti didn't sit on her usual chair this time; she went to sit in a chair next to Drashti. Sukirti and Drashti smiled to each other and waited for Dr. Keerti to show up. No one seemed o make up a sound. 'Well, this is awkward' thought Mayank looking at Drashti.

Before there was too much awkwardness Dr. Keerti showed up with someone following her.

"I'm sorry I'm a little late", said Dr. Keerti. "You all must be wondering who this is" she continued.

"This is Dr. Tondon. Dr. Amit Tondon. He is the new senior doctor and he's here to help us with Mr. Khanna's case. I hope you guys will show him the same respect you show me", said Dr. Keerti finishing Amit's introduction. Amit shook hands with the interns and said more things about himself. Karan walked away from the cabin before talking to Amit. One by one all the interns walked away from the cabin leaving Amit alone.

Sukirti thought Dr. Keerti would be mad at her but Dr. Keerti putting her and Karan together in the same surgery had made Sukirti want to kill her.

"Sukirti can you please give me a chance to explain myself?" Karan said.

"I've given Mr. Khanna some medications. Can you please tell me if it's the right ones or not? Dr. Karan?" replied Sukirti emphasizing the word doctor.

Understanding the hint Karan backed off and took the paper from Sukirti. He read the paper and agreed with Sukirti on the medications. Then he thought of another thing. He had to make things right and he had to do it right there and then.

With determination Karan took Sukirti's hand and took her to the fire escape.

"Listen to me, what I did with Shilpa was a mistake. You have been ignoring me for the past 3 months and I can't take it anymore. I can't see you like this Sukirti. I know you're mad and you have every right to be mad. But don't keep it all inside. Tell me that I'm a jerk, tell me I'm stupid. Just tell me, or even hit me. I don't care; just let the whole freakin thing out".

"I don't know what your talking about", she replied innocently.

"This is exactly what I'm talking about. Just let it OUT", Karan was getting mad now and he didn't care. He kept pushing Sukirti till she gave in. Sukirti's heartbeat kept raising and Karan forcing her to let out was working.

"Fine. You want me to let it out? You don't know how much you've hurt me. I won't ever forgive you, NOT EVER. You just didn't cheat on me you cheated on me with my best friend. How could you? What the hell were you thinking Karan? Just because we had a small fight that gave you the reason to go sleep with her?" Sukirti stopped then. She wanted to tell him so much more but nothing seemed to come out anymore. She looked up at Karan whose eyes she had melted on, once upon a time. Whose little touch would make her weak. Then she found Karan moving towards her. She felt Karan's hand touching her cheek. He put aside her strand of hair. Sukirti didn't stop him, she let Karan do whatever he was about to do. Karan kissed her neck and slowly moved up to kiss her cheek once again. Sukirti closed her eyes and felt her body warm up.

"I love you, please forgive me", whispered Karan thinking this might work.

OMG ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH this was soooooooooooooooooooooooo good. I am deffo gonna read it. And just the way it started was JUST TOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.
