Sh; Gunjan ke saat kya hua?
S: Kuch nahi. Waise bhi babes, tumhe pareshaan honeki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Samrat has it all under control!
Sheena smiled.
Sh: Mujhe ghar jaana chahiye. Tum mujhe drop kar doge?
S: Sry sweetheart! I have BBall practice 2day. Agar nahi hota tho main zaroor drop kar deta. Aaj tum akeli ghar jaa sakti ho?
Sh: Of course Samrat. Main challi jaongi. Tum apne BBall pe concentrate karo. Bye!
S: Bye Sheena! Kal milte hain.
Now all he had to do was wait for Gunjan. He was more than positive that she would come.
Meanwhile, Gunjan was pacing back and forth in the music rm. Should she meet Samrat? She didnt want him to know of the fact that she really was avoiding him. But she was nervous of talking to him alone. What if he asked her questions about meeting the principal? She was a horrible liar. She was so confused! Her head was spinning with thoughts.
suddenly, Mayank walked into the room.
M: Kya hua Gunjan? Buhot pareshaan lag rahi ho.
G: Woh ... Samrat ne mujhe abhi cafe main bulaya hai.
M: Tho? Jao Na? Yahan kya kar rahi ho?
G: Mayank, it's not that easy. Tum nahi samjhoge.
Mayank placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
M: Main sab samajhta hoon. Ab tum jaa rahi ho ya nahi?
Gunjan sighs.
G: Wohi tho pata nahi.
M: Mera baat maanogi? Mujhpe bharosa hai?
G: Of course Mayank! Batao na.
M: Jao aur Samrat se milke aao.
G: Par-
M: Plz Gunjan... Ek baar mera baat maanlo. Plz.
G: Achcha theek hai. Par agar usne aaj subha ke baareme kuch pooch liya tho?
M:Nahi poochega. main sab sambhaal loonga.
Gunjan reluctantly gets up.
G: Ok... Main jaongi.
Mayank smiles and winks at her.
Back in the cafe, Samrat was getting slightly impatient. Why wasn't she here yet?? He checked his watch. It had been half an hour since college had let out. He was just about to give up and leave when he saw Gunjan walking towards him. His lips automatically pulled up into a smile.
Gunjan's heart was thudding in her chest. What would he ask her? They hadn't communicated properly in a long time... . Would he be angry at her? She tried to swallow her fears as she neared him. He didn't seem angry. In fact, he was smiling like he had never smiled before. She looked down onto the floor. It was a few minutes before either of them spoke. When they did, it was Samrat who began the conversation.
S: Main Jaanta tha ke tum zaroor aogi chashmish.
Gunjan abruptly looked up at him. she hadn't expected him to say this. Actually, she had pictured everything but this in her mind.
G: Dosti ki hai... tho nibhaana padega... hai na?
Samrat smiled. He was glad to have his Chashmish back.
S: Maine tumhe buhot miss kiya.
Gunjan looked at him amused.
G: Miss kiya? Par main tho yehin thi na?
S: Gunjan yahaan thi. Meri Chashmish nahi.
Her heart leaped at the word 'Meri'. How she wished it could be so!
S: Aaj kal meri Chashmish kahin khone lagi hai. Main sirf yeh chahtha hoon ke woh Chashmish waapis aa jaaye jisse main jaanta hoon. Tum buhot badal gayyi ho.
G: Kabhi kabhi badalna zaroori padh jaata hai Samrat.
Samrat looked at her confused.
S: Kya matlab?
G: Kuch nahi. Kher yeh batao ke tumne mujhe yahaan kyun bulaaya?
S: Obviously Chashmish! Tumse baat karne ke liye! Tho batao Chashmish-
Suddenly Banji walked through.
B: Gunjan! Tum abhi tak yaheen ho!? Film dekhne nahi jaana kya? Challo, maine do ticket mangwaaliye hain. Arre? Challo! Bye Sam!
Benji practically dragged Gunjan out of the cafe and out of the college. He had also noticed the shocked and slightly irritated expression on Samrat's face.
The first plan had been a success!
Samrat didn't know exactly what to feel. His feelings were complicated. He felt angry, and upset and shocked and surprised and betrayed. He didn't want to admit it to himself but there was a small part of him that may have felt slightly... jelous. He didn't know why. He should have been happy for his Chashmish. But why was he having this strange new feeling? He didn't know. All he knew was that it should have been him going to a movie with Gunjan... not Benji. It should have been him.
