CHAPTER-12

Preet and Meher came home and went to their respective rooms. After refreshing himself Preet sat down with his laptop, chatting with his old buddies. He heard his mom call out for him.

Preet: Kya baat hai mom?

He asked reaching her.

Gayatri: Your teacher is waiting for you..

Preet: Teacher???

Gayatri: Haan tumhare remedial classes

Preet: Ma mein koi school jaata bacha nahin hoon'

Gayatri: Mujhe nahin pata'tumhare bauji ne kaha hai toh bas abhi tumhe jaana hoga

Preet: Bauji bhi na..dekhloonga mein unhe pehle iss teacher ki kabar le tha hoon'.kahaan pe hai??

Gayatri: Upar chatt pe.. lekin Preet woh..

Before Gayatri could say anything further, he dashed off upstairs.

Preet found a lady upstairs on the terrace. He couldn't see her face as her back was facing him.

Lady: Aagaye tum beta..bait jao..

Preet: Dekhiye..ab jo koi bhi nahin..behtar hoga ki aap yahaan se chale jayein'mujhe koi shauk nahin hai yahaan bait kar classes sune ka..

Lady: Koi baat nahin beta agar tumhe yahaan pasand nahin hai toh hum neeche tumhare kumre mein bhi padayi kar sakte hain'yahaan thandi hawa chalti haina toh mein ne socha'tum jaldi se concept samaj paoge..

Preet: Lagta hai aapko meri baat samaj mein nahi aayi.. Mujhe koi remedial classes nahin attend karne'.aap yahaan se jaa sakti hain'

Lady: Lekin beta tumhare bauji ne toh kaha..chahe tum kitne bhi natak karlo tumhe na chodoon..

Before Preet could react his mobile rings and it was from his father.

Lalit: Preet agar tumne remedial classes' nahin attend kiye na toh dekhlena'tumhari expenses cut kardoonga'

That's it Preet could say nothing. He cursed his fate and sat down in the chair looking at the small board and the lady writing some notes on it. She started the lecture and he couldn't help but listen to them'

Prem and Heer returned home and went to their respective rooms to freshen up. They came down at the same time.

Prem: Maa ye Preet aur Meher kahin dikhayi nahin de rahe hain??

Gayatri: Preet ke remedial classes chal rahe hain chat pe

Prem: Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa????

Gayatri: aisa chila kyun raha hai'.. yakeen nahi ho raha toh upar jaake dekhlo

Prem: Definitely mom' aisa sunehera mauka baar baar thodi na milta hai'preet aur padayi' Heer tumhe chalne hai??

Heer: Haan..chalo chalte hain'

They went upstairs and then opened the terrace door slowly not making sounds. They saw Preet jotting down notes while a lady was dictating her back facing them.

Heer: Premm'.premmm

Prem: Kya hua Heer???

She whispered something into his ears.

Prem: omg sach!!!!

Heer: Don't you think hume jaake interrupt karna chahiye'.

She said winking at him and Prem gave her a mischievous smile.

Heer and Prem reached near to Preet. They stood at a corner pretending as if they haven't seen what's going on'

Heer: Premmm I don't think hume party mein jaana chahiye' bechare preet aur meher' dono ko boora lagega

They sensed the silence that had fallen by the end of the statement.

Prem: Heer'.. We just have three passes ab hum Preet aur Meher ko saath kaise le jaa sakte hain'.

Heer: Haan ye bhi hai' dono mein se sirf ek chal sakta hain aur agar dono se poocha toh mahayud chidega'.. ab kya karein???

Prem: Hum dono chalte hain

Heer: Ok as you wish'.

Preet ran over to them'..

Preet: PBBBBB

Prem: Preet tu yahaan????

Preet: woh chodiye'. Aap aur heer di kuch discuss kar rahe the woh????

Prem: woh'hum naye project ke baare mein'

Heer: Haan..bilkul'

Preet: Dii mein ne sun liya hai'

Prem: Kya?? sun liya' ab tu hi bata preet hum kya karein?? Kise le jaaye???

Preet: Ismein poochne wali koi baat hai'. obviously mujhe.. waise bhi meher shayad ghar pe nahin hai aur agar hoti bhi toh woh aur party'. kabhi nahin' ek kone mein kadhe hoke dekti rehti hai' usse le jaake kya faida???

"preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet" He heard a familiar voice screaming'

He turned and was shocked to see the sight in front of him. The teacher who was irritating him from the past 1 hour was none other than Meherrrrrrrrrr

Preet: Meherrrr tummmmmmmmmmm????

He yelled more loudly than her.

Meher: hey tum kya keh rahe the mere bare mein??????

Preet: Tumm tumne pichle ek gante se mujh bewakoof banake padati rahi'..

Both were yelling at each other while Premeer were having fun.

After 10 min of fight of accusing each other they noticed their siblings who were enjoying the scene.

Preet: Ye sab chodo aur ab decide karo party mein kon jayega aur kon nahi'

He said while giving an angry glare to Meher.

Prem: Wo..wo'

He caught hold of Heer's hand.

Heer: Koi bhi nahin'

They ran away from there asap before Preet and Meher could grasp that they had been fooled. They went laughing down all the way and came in front of a confused Gayatri.

Heer: aunty hum dono na thodi der ke liye bahar jaa rahe hain'

Prem: ma plz tab tak preet aur meher ko sambhalo

They left from there. Prem started to drive the car.

Prem: Lol' that was super fun'

Heer: Yep

Prem: Chehre dekhne layak the dono ke'

Heer: Haan.. bilkul..

Prem: So hum jaa kahaan rahe hain ab?

Heer: Hmm kahaan chale''.

Prem: Preet ki surprise party ke liye toh kuch socha hi nahin.. ab toh sirf ek aur din rehgaya..

Heer: yea.. ek kaam karte hain hum hotel jaake dekhte hain if we can get a hall or so..

Prem: yea that's better.

They reach the hotel and finally they select a place by the pool side and then instruct the manager about the arrangements to be done.

Prem: I'm sure Preet will like this.. lekin Heer guests and all.. I mean hum yahaan kisiko jaante tak nahin..

Heer: Woh sab tum mujhpe chod do I'll manage aur Preet ke college friends hum Meher ki help lenge..

Prem: Ok then chalo mujhe bohut bhook lag rahi hai.. ghar jaane tak mein wait nahi kar sakte.. Restaurant mein khaa lenge..

Heer: Ok..

Preet and Meher gave hard glares to each other standing on the terrace after their siblings left.

Preet: dono ne milke hume ullu banaya' sab tumhari wajah se'

Meher: oyi mein ne kya kiya sab tumhari wajah se'

Preet: tum toh baat hi mat karo mujhse.. Remedial class.. I thought you to be a friend aur tumne mere saath hi cheating ki.. This is unfair.

Meher: mein ne toh bas wahi kiya jo uncle ne mujhe kaha..

Preet: Tum uncle ki dost ho ya meri'

Meher: Tumhari..

Preet: Toh.. forget it' I'm not talking with you anymore..

He walks away from there followed by pleading Meher. They both sit to dine while Gayatri was serving them.

Gayatri: Ab tum dono ko kya hogaya? Aise mooh banake kyun baite ho.

Preet: Kuch nahi maa mujhe bhook lag rahi hai,,

He quickly takes two chapattis and starts to eat.

Meher: Padhaya maine tha'aur take ho tum wah kya baat hai'

Preet just glares at her and resumes eating. He finishes it soon and goes back to his room leaving a sighing Meher behind thinking of ways to placate him.

Premeer walk into the restaurant in their hotel while the staff there rushes to attend them. Prem and Heer feel quite embarrassed and then Prem instructs them to treat them like normal customers. Prem takes the menu card and starts to go through it while Heer looks on. He feels her gaze on him so he lifts his head and glances at her.

Heer: I just recalled something. Karan humesha meri favorite hi order karta tha..

Prem felt like an idiot, he didn't like the fact that Heer recalled Karan. Passing a fake smile he ordered for something and then passed the menu to Heer. Rest of the dinner, Heer kept telling Prem a few crazy things which Karan done for her while he felt like killing Karan.

They were on their way back home while it started to drizzle and Heer lowered the window pane and put her hand out in rain. Prem was silently enjoying her play. She looked so pretty to him that he wasn't able to concentrate on the road. Somehow they reached home.

They retired to their rooms to sleep. Heer entered and saw Meher fast asleep on the bed. She got changed and lied down on bed but sleep was no where in her thoughts. She walked into the balcony and stared at the moon.

Her thoughts wandered to Prem.. She recalled all her moments with him and it brought smile on her face. He was just the same as her father told her he was. She laughed when she recalled how he tried to maintain his smile when she was going on about Karan this.. karan that.. She felt that she should spend more and time with him. She went back to sleep with a smile on her face.

Prem got changed and stared at the moon for a while, thinking about the turn of events in his life. He definitely had some soft feelings for Heer but he wasn't sure if he could call it love. He agreed to marry her as he had trust on his parents choice and after he saw her and known her a bit he developed a liking for her. He felt he had to remove this Karan factor between so as to move their story ahead but how seemed a big question. Somehow he felt spending more and more time with her, getting to know each other would help him get clearer about his feelings for her and also may create some feelings for him in her.
