PART 24
He soughed wearily, roosting his head on the plum leather of his chair, his mind looking back on rahul's words, which agitated him, he couldn't concentrate on the details of his next set of deals, the irritability, the restlessness to get all the work done, to head home, it all aggravated him. his heart wanted to see her duckiness, it bursted with adoration as her sweet acts flashed in his mind,
'man', he rasped, wanting to be free from all the new, unusual, deep emotions that incited in him, he rubbed his brows and threw his pen in frustration, caulking the file infront of him. he conked up from his chair, moving towards the door when his phone vibrated, knelling a loud ringing tone that chafed his frame of mind,
he grabbed it, his brows knitting together as he caught sight of the name flashing on his touchscreen, 'anji', he mumbled, receiving the call,
'armaan...', she called out, sobbing over the phone, her heart softening as she looked around to see any signs of her, accusing herself mentally,
'anji....why are ye crying gal...is everything alrite', armaan asked over the phone, shocked to hear her snivels, concerned for his friend, she closed her eyes remorsefully, not being able to think straight and tell him the news, he'll kill me,
'arm....arm....i cant find ridhima', she uttered, as tears skipped her eyes,
his peepers narrowed in confusion, his heart prancing for breath at the mention of her name, the tender loving care drubbing his mixed up, his addling, hoggish feelings, 'what do ye mean...she's at home', he muttered, a fear awakening inside him, he bit his lip in a miff, hearing her cry endlessly on the other end.
'anji.....WHERE IS RIDHIMA', he grilled, rubbing his pate in worry, his insides putting his gray matter to sleep, his mind working up in distress, in perplexity,
muskaan snatched the phone from anji, her eyes moistening up, 'armaan we.....we went ta...new york..and', she sniffed,
'WHAT', he bawled, his heart sickening with her avowals, he felt uneasy, the news needled his cognizance, quashing his vocal cords.
'arm....she was with us till boston when we stopped.......armaaaan she doesnt know the way around....', muskaan babbled but stopped hearing the dead end as he ended the call getting the daunting news, scurrying out of his room, on pins and needles, his heart shaking up, tied up in knots, his heart shouting at him for being angry with her, for being rude to her, a gloom, a dolor glutting in his heavy heart. he rushed down the stairs, cantering some steps, where do i go, this place is huge, he jumped inside his car, banging the door shut, on edge in his worriment.
He zoomed his car towards the crowded, bustling areas of the city of Boston, godd..she is new here, his heart bucked a painful beat. his heart dulling down, as he took in the sights of his surroundings, maybe she's here, his heart bursted in anxiety, tensed about her, his emotions, his stress, his feelings, his questions vivified, rallying a turmoil in him. the amour giving him creeps.
his gaze tarried on a short, mobster like figure that quavered him, what if she's in a mess, oh god, he clutched his steering wheel in a quail, his eyes dampening up in care, his heart jouncing at the thought, he accelerated the car's speed in cold sweat, making tracks towards the country side, speeding up his car.
He dialled his number in flaps, wanting a hand in finding her, 'mike.......mike....ridhima....ma gal is lost man....help me search for her', armaan stammered over the line, in jitters,
'WHAT', mike yelled over the phone, 'ammy man....chill....she is no kid..one cant get lost in Boston, there are directions everywhere...just calm down', he gibbered soon after recovering from the shock.
armaan looked around the deserted street, opening up the front windows, 'man...this is shit...i cant find her', he yelped. her gorgeous face flickering in his mind, her pretty green blinders that captivates his sight, that takes his breath away, his spirits clouded up as his mind went back to their moments, he dropped his gaze sensing a void feeling stirring up in him.
'did ye try calling her', mike questioned over the phone, certain that he's gonna say no, grabbing his keys to head down and find his adrift friend,
he lifted his gaze in a hope, aa mai god, he ended the call and pressed the buttons on his phone, giving her a ring, wishing to hear her sweet, perky voice again, greeting him a hello. he rubbed his brows, closing his eyes as her phone kept jingling, she wasnt picking up, is she in some trouble, he ruffled his hair, dialling her number again, his shaking hands getting hold of the gear in front of him, 'F**KING hell', he cursed, throwing his phone away in a huff....
-----
Mike sighed, slumping on the couch. she was nowhere to be found, where can she go, the gals said she was lost near the atrium areas, her man went everywhere around Boston. he kept a hand on his forehead, rahul even went ta roxbury, anji and muskaan couldnt find her too, he himself headed to cambridge. two hours and they still didnt know her whereabouts, he closed his eyes, getting all sorts of thoughts, hope she is safe man, his heart went out to armaan, the man might be going crazy, he pressed the keys on his phone, getting back to him for any news.
'what man....i didnt find her', armaan bellowed ending the call, ramming the horn, stuck in the tamped traffic. the voices maddening his brains, his heart crying for ridhima, the affection shouting for his beau, stimulating the waves in his mind. his head was aching now, the weariness from the past two hours rushing into his systems...
mike hissed in a fizzle, when his mind called attention on a big thing, oh my god, jesus christ, ann. he didnt even call ananya and tell her about this, she might be worried like crazy about her, shit shit shit, he buzzed her phone.
'hey son', she smiled getting her hands on the telephone. i haven't talked to him in ages, she thought, sitting down on the couch.
'ann...ridzi....ridzi is', he stuttered, reckoning on how to inform her about the dire straits, about the bad news. she frowned hearing her name.
'whats wrong mike...are you alright', ananya asked, getting a load of her, taking hold of some bags animatedly.
'ann...ridzi is lost, we....um she's nowhere ta be found, we tried everywhere', he bewailed sadly.
'huh....lost...', she turned around to see her coming towards the table in confusion,
'lost.....mike....son she's here at home...with us', ananya sputtered, cluttered with what he said,
'WHAT THE....ann are ye for real is she at home', he routed, his eyes unconsciously rolling at the extreme weirdness of the day, here they were, finding her like crazy and she is up there chillaxin in her gaff, aa mai god,
'mike', she mumbled, but soon reamed her eyes as realization dawned upon her, 'mike son....she wasn't lost, who told you she was lost, she came home by herself...she was really tired, she couldn't wait any longer so then she walked home', she filled in, clearing up the addled state in his head.
'JESUS CHRIST, ann do ye know how worried armaan is, he has roamed around the whole boston in search of ridhima and she is over there.....what is she doing there, and why did they go to new york in the first place without informing anyone....she didnt even tell armaan about it.....oh my god....the guy is actually going to be real pissed off....he was nearly breaking up...shit', mike fumed. god knows how worried he was about her, he ended the call, paying no heed to his manners, his respect. his fingers keying in his number automatically,
'ammy', he mouthed, walking towards his window, salted away on the fact that his friend is gonna shout like crazy once he hears the news.
'man i told ya i didn't find her, don't bug me alrite', he moaned furiously,
'AMMY...ridhima's at home man, she wasn't lost at all.....i told ya there are directions everywhere, she cant be lost, she knew her way around.....', he sighed, exiting his house, setting off to inform her other worried friends, who can be so careless man.
his words slackened the tension in Armaan's heart. his heartbeat pelting back to its typic, a sense of relief bursting forth within him, the needling chaos in his mind popped up another set of questions. his anger, his irritation, his distress taking over every soft emotion in him, he didnt know what to say, his heart grieved for a second he felt as if he lost her, as if something big, something salient, something special was taken away, he couldn't say anything, his mind wanted to burst in anger, beat the hell out of everyone who was infront of him, smash everything that was before his eyes but he just couldn't move his hands, a tear jerked out of his eye as he recalled mike's words.
'man....ye...ye there', mike wakened him out of his bathetic, weighty thoughts, shocked to not get any reaction from him,
armaan bit his lip as the fury, the passion, the distemper revived the acumen in his head. he gnashed his mouth, switching off his phone and dashed back to his home, the rage boiling his
blood, i cant take this anymore, its time i set things up ridhima, he fired up the chucked road, wanting to make a clear, last and final decision, wanting to neb this face off between his heart
and mind...
---------
'ridhima', ananya went upto her, interrupting a cheery conversation between bi and ridhima,
she looked up, 'ji...mumma',
'beta...why didn't ye call muskaan or anjali after reaching the house', ananya asked calmly, finding her careless attitude really kooky. she didn't inform her friends, they are probably so worried and ashamed of themselves for not taking care of her properly.
ridhima pursed her lips, nervously, her mind giving a cue on the first thing she should have done after reaching home, 'um....wo mere', she glimpsed at bi whose eyes were asking the same question too, she should've, how can i forgot, they might be so stressed out. she realised how she was so preoccupied in her own depressed thoughts that she walked home all by herself from the mall they stopped at after returning from New York, apni wajah se main sab ko pareshaan karrahi hun. 'i just....it just slipped out of my', she mouthed, only to be cut short by the sudden slamming of the entrance door.
'ridhimaaa', he yelled out her name storming in the living room, enraged by her stupidity, by her carelessness, he stopped, taking a gander of his beaut, his heart bursting in pash, in amour, her beauteous sight lightening up the concern in his heart, the worriment, taking a load off his mind but exciting the rage, the dander, the irritation in his systems, her innocence inducing a spleen, a coldness within him.
Her eyes moistened up as she saw him glaring at her, his stern look recalling the previous night's tiff, his harsh words in her mind.
he pierced his gaze at her, staring icily and went up to his room, not wanting to make a scene in front of his parents, this was between them and it was better if it was kept that way,
she closed her eyes, getting the message, her mind telling her to go up and ask him the reason why he's giving her that cold shoulder, what has she done to deserve this wrath, she gloomily made her way upstairs...
'what the hell is wrong with ye ridhima.....why the f**k are ye getting on my last nerve', he yipped, blustering her, as she kept a hand on his shoulder, driving him to distraction, today he's going to tell her that she is nothing to him, no one, just another friend, his heart tried to chime in but this time he would do anything to not let his heart's voice reach upto his ears,
her throat choked up hearing his gruff tone, her heart ringing the blues, 'i just forgot to give ye a call armaan...is it such a big thing that....that you are actually gonna be this cross to me', she
mumbled. her heart shedding bitter tears, she couldn't take it anymore, she just couldn't take it, she longed to unleash her grief, her pain, her sentiments,
his heart twitched at her words, skipping afflictive beats between his loud thumping ones, her tears breaking his heart, befuddling him, bothering him, his mind still rolled out, provoking
him to say something loutish, wrapping him up in his self - seeking thoughts, pestering his brains, he jammed her to the wall behind her in anger, wanting to get rid of his feelings, glomming her smooth, fleshy arms, clenching them in bummers, in furor, intimidating her, 'ye have bleedin recked ma life.....from the time ye have entered in ma life it has been nathin but a mess', he grabbed her waist, his heart bewailing on what he was doing, hurting her, his flame, his swain,
'armaan', she yowled in pain, her haunch line, her convex hitting the forks of the wall, her insides dulling down, her flu causing nausea, she bursted into tears harking his churlish tone, his eyes yelped out the bitterness, his hard feelings for her, this was not the armaan she loved, his aggression was cramping her,
'i cant do anything......i cant go out with gals, i cant live my life, i cant have fun and its all coz of ye.....everytime i try to do somethin.....this f**kin face of yers comes into my mind and i cant do
anythin', he clutched her maw, dazing her senses, looking at her greens that were letting it all out, her snivels dying down, his grey ones mewling too,
her mind lamented, questioning this truth in her life, her heart twitched at his slanderous, unkind tone, 'agar main itni buri hun....then.....then why did you marry me armaan......mera to pehle se aik hi sawaal hai.....ke maine kia kiya hai', she yowled softly, struggling to get her answers,
her question threw cold water on his tender emotions, on those sensations, putting his heart into a funk, putting a damper on his feelings, his heart kicking him to not say it, 'that's the biggest mistake i've ever done in ma life ridhima...', he railed, getting an eyeful of a fresh set of tears skipping her eye, rolling down her elegant cheeks as she took in his words, what could she say, she had nothing to say, to stand up against his dumbfounding utterance, her confidence ceasing to exist, with his raw, abusive remarks, why wasnt it giving him that satisfaction that he was pining for, why was his insides cursing him for being aggressive, for flogging her, he gazed at her red, zinged arms that brought a sense of disgust within him at what he did, he loosened his hold on them, hearing her sigh, his eyes reducing to tears at what he did, his mind recollected her sweet words to his father.
'why do ye care about me ridhima, why cant you leave me alone', he questioned, upbraiding her feelings, wanting to brush her fringe but he couldn't do it this time, he couldn't,
she looked at him, her heart pounding against her bust in downer, her tears according her love for him, she couldn't take it anymore, her patience, her composure dropped off, 'coz i love you armaan', she repined deeply, cleaning breast of her feelings, her ardency, her affection, her paiety, her devotion,
his heart stopped beating at her words, his peepers gaping at her heartbroken sight, her languishing eyes, he stepped back, mixed up with this new turn, his irritation, his frustration hushing away, her sweetness, her generosity, it all made sense now, his eyes bored in hers, getting the hang of her love, her amity, her fondness, her inclination, he broke his trance getting an eyefull of the hope, mentally beating himself for getting close to her, how could he not think about that, i was way too close to her, she had ta fall for me, but what about him, he felt those dark temptations too but that was just attraction, it wasnt what she thought it was, he couldnt love anyone, he doesnt know what it is, he lamped at her boarding up her gushy face with her hands, weeping,
'but i......i never saw ye in that sense ridhima', he lied following his curbed, his numbed brain, perplexed with what happened between them, hating himself for hurting her, for bringing tears into her eyes, confused, the dim, dusky room reflecting their moods, their mindset, he rubbed his teary eyes, wanting to get away from the heart rending sight, he couldnt believe he was crying,
she closed her eyes, turning around to cry her heart out, getting hold of the platform of their bed, she slipped down on the floor, clinching the shags of the rug in her fist, 'main haar gayi', she sobbed loudly, apna pyaar bhi or apni shaadi bhi, she peered at her engagement solitaire in her finger, pooping out in her cries, her mind dumbing slowly, from the weariness and tiredness of the day, from the pain he gave her, her arms smudged with the bruise, she shut her eyes in vertigo, her head spinning, snoozing away from the unfair and self - centered nature of the world...
He leaned his head on the wooden pane, ruffing his hair, abhorred with himself, he was aggressive with a girl, that was against his rules, that was not sophistication at all, that was roughness, that was ugliness, that was boorishness, COZ I LOVE YOU ARMAAN, his mind looked back at her words, at her confession, his heart loped, holding his breath, the amour
splintering in a bigger, in a deeper emotion, in a hermetic sensation, fanning the fire in his affection, in his liking, she loves me, she loves me, his palate braced up, emboldening his emotions, he soughed sadly, it's never gonna be the same between us now...
--------
Ananya entered his room after a long wait of five minutes, she had knocked at the door continously but on getting no answer, she decided to barge in,
'RIDHIMA', she mouthed her name in concern, seeing her dull, gloomy sight before her eyes, aisa kiya hogaya, she hurried towards the window, kneeling down on her knees beside a heartsore, prostrated ridhima, ailed to see her sweetheart in such a grieved state, she caressed her hair,
she lifted her head dejectedly, hearing her name, peeping at her mother - in - law, her emotions, her love venting out of her pies as tears, she hugged her, craving to feel the motherly love, to revel in the presence of a care that has no expectations from her, 'mumma...', she cried,
'ridhima', ananya's eyes sogged up seeing her state, 'kia hua.....kia armaan ne kuch kaha tumse', she stroked her back, in willies to see her cracking up,
she yammered hearing his name, his aggressiveness flashing back into her mind, she wanted to go back now, to go back home, main aur nahi seh sakti, she couldnt suffer in this devastating truth of her life, 'mumma.....please send me back home for sometime....please', she pleaded, ananya parted away, shocked to hear her, 'per....bache....hua kiya...aise achanak', she wiped her tears, ridhima took hold of her hands,
'please mumma.....please let me go....i have to go back...i cant...i cant take', she murmured in her cries, her throat clogging up, she wheezed, snuggling in her laps,
'acha....acha bas....sssh', ananya patted her back softly, muzzling her cries, per hua kiya, armaan ne aise kiya keh diya that she wants to go back to her home, she was flabbergasted to see her beaming ridhima crying her heart out, she couldnt say no to her after how she was copping her pleas to go back home, she had to send her, i have to ask him what happened, she decided, blogged with the days's events...
