Here is the next part. It would have been put up sonner but since i had rentedMillion Dollar Baby i started watching that. IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD!! I was crying at the end!!😭 ok but yeah enough of that enjoy this part!!
"The question isn't whether you want a wife or not Angad; it's whether you want Sonia. So what will it be? Your personal happiness or your daughter?"
Angad Khanna sat in his study an hour later still contemplating the question put forth by his best friend. He had no doubt to the answer to the question. In his mind, nothing was more important than his daughter. The only doubt in his mind was as to the solution to the problem. Marrying Kripa, the know-it-all queen.
How could he even consider it? It was Kripa for crying out loud. The same Kripa that he spent seven years of his life being friends with, and the next 5 or so hating. How could he possible even think about a life with her? Albeit the actual shared life would be short but that wasn't the point. The point was that he would have to share his name with Kripa. It was unthinkable. It was insane. It was incomprehensible.
Angad was forced to stop his ramblings because the door behind him had opened. He turned around to scowl the person to oblivion, but that scowl immediately softened when he saw who was on the other side of the door. Sonia. Angad raised his hand to welcome his daughter in. She immediately ran forward. He took her hand and lifted her up to sit on his lap.
"So what has my little princess been doing?" he asked softly.
Sonia giggled at the nickname. "I went to eat some chocolate. Daddy, will you read me my story now?" she asked.
"Isn't it your bedtime?" Angad asked.
"But Daddy, you promised!"
Angad could remember no such thing but he decided to humor his only daughter anyway.
"How about this? You go to bed now and I'll read you two stories tomorrow."
"Three."
"Two"
"Three"
"Two."
"Three!" Sonia maintained adamantly.
"All right three," Angad conceded. He knew it was useless to argue with Sonia. He would never win. Who could say no to that cute little pout?
"Yay!" exclaimed Sonia as she leaped of his lap and jumped around the room.
"Okay okay. Bedtime. I'll be there in a few minutes," Angad said firmly.
She nodded and tore off in the direction of her room. He shook his head and stood up. After a few minutes of shuffling around the papers on his desk to the right order he turned of the lights and left his study.
He walked quietly to Sonia's room. He pushed the door and it opened on silent hinges. A quick glance into the room revealed his daughter in her bed with the covers drawn tightly around her. He walked to her with the same silence that he had employed so far. She looked up as he neared the bed.
Angad smiled down at her.
"Good night sweetheart and remember –"
"I know, I know. Don't let the bed bugs bite," she continued in a disgruntled voice.
He smiled. He had been saying that to her for so long that he had forgotten how he had even heard the saying, let alone started using it.
"Good night daddy."
Angad kissed her on the forehead and turned to leave. He had just put his hand on the doorknob when he heard Sonia's sleepy voice behind him.
"I love you daddy," she whispered softly.
And just like that, Angad Khanna made the biggest decision of his life.
Even though he had made his decision, Angad was still trying to come to terms with it a half hour later as he stood outside Kripa's door. He had originally planned to talk to her the next day, but the plan had to be modified when a maid had come to him and said that Kripa was awake. After the maid told him, he had instructed the maid to prepare a bath for Kripa and bring her some food in an attempt to buy some time. Unfortunately, that time had flown by. And so, here he was.
'Oh well, no use putting it off any longer,' he thought to himself as he opened the door and quietly stepped in. He had barely taken two steps before he froze. His eyes widened as he took in the sight in front of him.
There was a soft glow in the room created by numerous candles. The lights couldn't be turned on because she was still unable to cope with too much light at the moment. In the centre of the huge bed that dominated the room sat Kripa Sharma. She was sitting up, her back propped up by some pillows. Her hair hung in slight wet waves that cascaded down her back, the candles catching every hue imaginable from light brown to dark auburn. Her face was a little pale, but that only increased the ethereal quality that seemed to surround her like an aura. She looked breath-taking.
But it wasn't her beauty that stopped Angad in his tracks. It was the absolute trust that he saw in her eyes as she gazed back at him. No one had ever looked at him that way and the last person he expected to do so was Kripa Sharma. He hadn't seen that trust in her eyes for him since 5-6 years ago. When they had been friends.
He shook his head when he realized that he was staring. He quickly walked forward and abruptly sat in the chair that had been placed beside her bed. He welcomed the pain that his action caused almost as if he deserved it for his moment of weakness.
"How are you feeling?" he asked gruffly trying not to drown into the golden brown depths of her eyes as she stared at him.
"I'm okay," she answered in a soft voice causing him to mentally kick himself for noticing that even her voice sounded beautiful and worse, trusting.
"Does anything hurt?" he asked in an even harsher voice.
Kripa frowned at his tone, but answered anyway. "Just my head. It only hurts a little."
He nodded. Silence descended the room as Angad contemplated just why she was so calm. The time during her meal and bath must have calmed her, he concluded. After all, she was the ever level – headed Kripa. Even so, he couldn't think of a reason for her trust in him.
She glanced at her empty plate for a quick second and it hit Angad. Of course! He had given her shelter and food. Hell, he had even given her a bath. No wonder she trusted him. She probably equated him with her knight in shining armor or something, no matter how absurd that idea seemed. Imagine him, Angad Khanna, someone's savior. It was ridiculous enough to laugh.
Until he realized that she had no idea who he was and so she held no grudge against him.
All thoughts of amusement fled from his mind in the face of cold reality. For a second there he had forgotten the situation. He frowned in concentration as he tried to think of a way to broach the subject of who she was, or more accurately who he wanted her to be. He was just about to open his mouth when she unwittingly gave him the perfect opening.
Kripa looked up from the plate and found herself staring into the silver orbs that were Angad Khanna's eyes.
She began hesitantly, not knowing how to start and finally deciding on the most direct route.
"Who am I?"
Angad hesitated knowing that his next words would seal his fate. He took another deep breath.
"My wife."
Hope you liked it!! And no they aren't married he just told her that she was his wife!
