Hey all .... AN Fan,

************* Return of ABHI - NIKKI ************

Part 2

Abhi was leaning over his bag. He was busy packing his bag which was lying open on the bed. Suddenly, he felt, Nikki's hands go around his waist, straightening up he asked her,

'Nikki ... sweetheart ......kya baat hai?' lovingly squeezing both her hands, which were now on his chest, as Nikki gave him a tight hug from the back. Her head was resting on his back, and he could hear her heartbeat as she held on to him closely, as if she would never let him go.

'Nothing, Jaanu ..... just wanted to tell you how much I love you!' she replied still holding tightly on to him.

'And I love you too .....' saying that, he pulled her with one hand, so that she now stood facing him.

'Now look at me ....' he said lifting her face holding it with both his hands, 'here ..... ' he was now looking into her beautiful large eyes which at the moment were looking very sad. 'Nikki ... what is bothering you, sweetheart? You know you can tell me anything, don't you? Are you feeling alright? Is something wrong with the ......?' he asked with a concern, his eyes now reflecting the fear that was rising within him, and his hand moved instantaneously over the small bulge at her waist.

'Stop worring, Daddy! We all are fine! We just needed a hug very badly! We wanted to know how much you love us, haina babies?' she asked with a smile now, putting her hand over his hand as they both caressed her tummy as if feeling the little ones.

'And I love, all the three of you, more than life itself .... happy?' he said with a smile, the fear in his eyes replaced by the love that filled him right now, as he held a 4 month pregnant Nikki in his arms.

'Abhi ..... isn't our life perfect?' Nikki said, after a few minutes of being held in his arms in a warm hug, feeling complete and satisfied.

''Ummm' Abhi replied, his eyes, now closed, enjoying his closeness. He still could not believe that Nikki was carrying twins. She herself was like a kid ..... so small .... so unbelievably child-like.

'You know, every time, we think our life is perfect, something bad happens to upset it and our world comes crashing down right around us. Why is it like that, Abhi?' she asked him in an unhappy voice.

'Sweetheart, why do you say that? What are you scared of now? I am here, na, with you, for always? And you know that I will never let anything happen to you or the babies .... don't you? I promise!' he said in a husky voice .... tightening his hug, to reassure her.

'I know Abhi ... till you are with me .... nothing can go wrong .... but what if .... something or someone takes you away from me? Jaanu, I will just die without you.' She said know her eyes filled with tears. Abhi felt the wetness on his chest where her cheek was resting.

'Hey, mama, what is this? You have to be happy .... else we will also be sad.... and start crying!' Abhi said in a baby voice, holding her away from him, so that she could see the funny baby face he was now making. Immediately Nikki's face broke into a smile, and Abhi wiped away the tears with his thumb.

'You are right babies, no more crying for Mama or you! Everything is going to be fine with everyone! Even your Sid uncle and Ridhzi aunty are going to be okay, haina?' she now asked Abhi soulfully, needing a reassurance from him.

'Yes ....darling. All will be okay! Did you try Ridhimma's number? Were you able to talk to her?' he asked her now with concern in his voice.

'Hmmm .... but she refused to tell me anything. She just kept crying. I did not know what to do. I told her to hang on .... that we will soon be there ....and then will sort out everything. Everything will be okay!'

'So where is she? Where is Sid?' Abhi asked.

'Ridhzi ... is at her dad's place ... alone ... since Dr. Gupta and Aunty are both travelling out of country. She says she has not told them anything .... since she feels that they both have suffered enough because of her.'

'And Sid .....?' Abhi asked.

'She has no idea .... he is not picking up his mobile. She went over to their home too .... but it is locked. She is so worried, Abhi. She does not know what to do.' Nikki replied.

'Don't worry ... let me think ... I will do something' Abhi said .... deep in thought now, comtemplating what to do next.

Then he dialled a number ...... and shouted angrily into his mobile,

'Sid .... idiot ... pick up the damn phone ! Where the hell are you hiding? Do you realize how worried we all have been? And you are busy playing this hide and seek games! Just pick up the stupid phone .... else .......wait till I get my hands on you ... I am going to wring that damn neck of yours ..... and I am not going to listen to anyone who tries to save you, do you understand?' He added as he heard Nikki protesting the way he was shouting into the phone.

'Are you going to pick up this phone or not?' Abhi tried once again .... but there was no response.

'Ok, fine, then I am coming to India .... and Nikki is also coming ..... and if anything happens to her or the babies .... it is all on your head!' he exclaimed in frustration. Still there was no response! Now Abhi was extremely worried. Sid would have picked up the phone by know hearing all his threats, if he was around ....

'Sid .... Sid ....please listen to me ....don't worry ...we can sort out ....whatever maybe the problem between you and Ridhima. Promise ......promise me ....you won't do anything stupid!' Abhi continued in a pleading voice.

'Abhi .... ' Nikki exclaimed with shock. Her eyes once again bright with tears. 'Don't say such stupid things. Nothing is going to happen to him or Ridhzi. They both will he fine and together' she said earnestly.

As Abhi rang the door bell to Dr. Gupta's house, Nikki asked Abhi,

'Abhi, I am sure Sid must have done something stupid ..... all you Modi men are alike! You never understand us, do something stupid, hurt us ...... and then comeback apologizing. Anyways, Sid was always so childish. He never took anything seriously in life .... I am sure he is the one to be blamed .....'

'Niki, don't be stupid ..... aur don't jump to conclusions ..... and don't even go near the Modi blood ....' he said irritatedly. They were now standing in front of the door for someone to open it.

'Hain hain .... you will always take your brother's side na? Bechari Ridhzi .... I don't know how she is able to handle all this .....' Nikki continued, now getting more and more angry at Sid, showing it on Abhi, assuming that it would be Sid's fault only.

'Oh shut up, Nikki!' Abhi exclaimed.

'Why? Why? Just because it is your brother who is to be blamed! Mind you I am not going to spare him .... how dare he do this to my friend. That too after getting married to her 2 times. He better .....' but before she could continue, Abhi's lips descended on her lips. And soon as his lips touched her, Nikki forgot what she had been talking about, her hands went around his neck, bringing him closer. He could never resist her this move, and immediately deepened the kiss. Both of them lost in their passion, forgetting where they were standing, and why they had been arguing.

Finally both of them moved away reluctantly ..... when they heard some noise...........looking longingly at each other ........ it had been more than 24 hours since they had .........

The noise had come from Ridhzi trying to open the door. When they both saw Ridhima, Nikki and Abhi were shocked to see the state she was in. Looked like she had not stopped crying at all .... her eyes were red and swollen. It looked as if she had lost weight .... and she looked so pale, as if she had not eaten for days together.

'Ridhzi .....' Nikki exclaimed, and both the friends stepped forward and hugged each other tightly. Both their eyes wet ..... as Abhi looked on at both of them.

'Nikki .... why did you come? Is it safe for you to travel? Babies .....'

'Ridhzi .... don't worry .... I am fine. And babies are fine too. We took my gyni's permission before leaving.'

Then Ridhzi stepped back and looked at Abhi for a confirmation. Abhi nodded his head confirming and then moved closer to her and took her is a hug. Then giving her a worried look, asked Ridhzi,

'How r you? Holding on?' he asked huskily.

Ridhzi looked at him and just nodded her head. She did not say anything, as they walked into the house. After they settled down, Nikki asked worriedly,

' Ridhzi ....what happened? Where is Sid? Did he call?'

Ridhzi looked at both of them with sad eyes ... and nodded,

'No...I am so worried, Nikki. I have no idea where he is, how he is, if he is okay! ' Ridhzi replied with tears welling up in her eyes.

'Ridhima, what happened between the two of you?' Abhi asked her with a worried look.

Ridhzi looked from him to Nikki, a bit scared, and then Nikki squeezed her hand, encouraging her to speak, she continued,

'Sid ..... just left ..... he was not ready to listen to anything I said' Then throwing a scared look at them, she got up and walked away, unable to look at them, she said softly, 'He was very upset when he came to know that .... Armaan .....was back ......'

'ARMAAN ?' both Nikki and Abhi shouted at the same time, shocked to hear his name. They both sprang up from the sofa they had been sitting ....

'Ridhzi, when did Armaan come back? Is he okay? What happened, where was he all this time? How come you never mentioned anything earliar?' Nikki excited, kept on asking question after question ...without waiting for Ridhima to answer.

While Abhi was muttering .....

'I should have known ...... ARMAAN .....' Abhi said, now anger showing on his face, 'He just cannot be ..... he has to create trouble .....where ever he goes' Abhi said as he recovered from the initial shock, nodding his head, frowning.

Both Nikki and Abhi were in their own thoughts ..... not listening to the other, as Ridhima turned towards them ..... starring at both of them, not knowing how to react.

'Oh my God, I cannot believe that Armaan is back! Safe and sound, I have to see him! I need to talk to him. Where is he, Ridzi?' Nikki asked Ridhima now with a big smile .... completely forgetting the state in which Ridzi was, and why.

'Nikki .... how can you? Can't you see Ridhima's condition? Can't you see what he has done to her and Sid? How can you be so selfish?' Abhi asked angrily.

And Nikki stopped ... suddenly realizing what she had done. She had completely forgotten how much the things had changed ..... Ridzi was no longer with Armaan ..... she had married Sid. And now Armaan was back in their lives .... suddenly her hands flew to her mouth in shock .... realizing what a mess it was. And Armaan .... did he know that Ridz was married ..... where was he? How had he taken the news? How will he be able to handle it? Nikki's eyes flooded with tears, as she sank down into the sofa .... her legs unable to hold her anymore.

'Nikki .... Nikki .... are you okay? I am sorry I shouted at you, sweetheart. But you were being insensitive .... I am sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.' saying that Abhi moved towards Nikki, worried now, then slowly he also sat down next to her on the sofa and took her in a hug.

'Abhi .... I have to see Armaan. He must be shattered ... knowing about Ridhzi and Sid.' Abhi once again looked at Ridhzi, apologizing to her with his eyes on behalf of Nikki.

Suddenly, the door bell rang, and Ridhzi looked at the door hopefully,

'It must be Sid ...... I left him so many messages .....to forgive me ..... to back here'

But before she could move, Abhi was half way to the door, hoping to see Sid, safe and sound .......

'YOU ....... ' Nikki and Ridhima heard Abhi exclaim in a loud voice.

It was clear that Abhi was not happy to see whoever it was at the door!

Twins eeks....... and our AN, goddd kya hoga inka!! kissing @ doorstep..*wink* but u know i loved itt. and thats Armaan 4 sure.. But one thing is; kahin SR k chakkar mein AN na lad padein bcoz obviously niki Armaan ki side legi.. lets see what happens. U made my day . And lovee u for this sW*Hrt.
