Part 8

After 2 weeks

Nupur was back to her job, Gunjan's job was going fine, Mayank had recovered from his accident and he hadn't heard anything from Samrat. Nupur tries to contact Mayank but it was not reachable, Mayank wanted to contact Nupur and his mother but he couldn't because of his phone which had some connection problems which had to be solved. And then he got busy with his work, so he never contacted Nupur or his mom.

One Monday afternoon, Nupur got a phone call.

Caller-C

C: Hello it's me, come and meet me in the usual restaurant tomorrow afternoon at 12:00.

N: ok

They hung up

The next morning, Nupur left the flat at 11:30 to reach to the restaurant; she was wearing a beautiful red top and jeans with simple make-up. She reached the restaurant at 11: 55. There was someone sitting on a table. Nupur went to that table. She seemed unhappy.

N: I am sorry Ranvijay I am late.

He never said to sit down but everyone looked at Nupur to have been standing up

RV: Where the hell have you been these past two weeks?

On Tuesday morning, Mayank went to office and he left the office at 11: 50 to have lunch at the nearby restaurant. He walked in there, he saw a girl sitting on a table facing her back and he saw her beautiful hair and he thought that it was Nupur but then he said to himself that it can't be. He went and take a seat on a table where that girl wouldn't see him but he could see her.

................

N: I am sorry Ranvijay, I have.... woh... woh... I had an accident, I was in the hospital

RV: It would have been good if u have died more than surviving.

Mayank was shocked to hear all of this. He turned around and saw that it was Nupur, he was very happy but then he thought who dared to talk to Nupur like this.

Nupur had tears rolling hearing all of this.

RV: My family were worried for u, it's just normal because they r stupid like you and your sister Gunjan.

N: Ranvijay, you can talk rubbish about me as much as you want but not about my sister.

RV: Why? What would you do?

N: (she didn't know what to say or do)

RV: Ok! If you couldn't contact me just because u were about to die, but what happened to that girl...ur sister with those glasses. Han. Did she die with u, or was she partying about with some ...

N: SHUT UP! (Standing up in anger) How dare u to talk about my sister like this you...

He did not let her finish, he took a fork and pressed on Nupur's hand which was on the table.

RV: Sit down u b****! (Nupur sat down because of the pain that was on her hands-her hand was bleeding badly).

N: leave me RV, I'm sorry.....just let it go

RV: Why do you want me to leave u!

M: (thinking what is happening)

Nupur couldn't believe all of this. She was crying badly. Mayank saw all of this. He got really angry, he stood up to go and kill that man who was misbehaving badly to Nupur but then he stopped because Nupur got all of this tortures just because she said she had an accident and he got to know that she has a friend who is boy, he might even kill her.

Nupur was really angry, she didn't know what to do, she stood up and just stormed off from the restaurant, Mayank wanted to talk to her and after 2 minutes that she got out of the restaurant he got out without eating anything but he couldn't find her anywhere. He was really worried for her.

Nupur returned to her flat and ran to her bedroom and started to cry so badly. She didn't like him, she just hated him. She heard the front door opening and she knew Gunjan was coming, and she didn't want Gunjan see the pain she is going through so she locked her bedroom and refreshed herself.

She heard a knock on her bedroom, she knew it was Gunjan; she didn't want to show herself crying and make Gunjan sad.

N: arrey Gunjan, suno, I m changing!

G: Ok di! I will wait in the living room.

Nupur knew that Gunjan was going to question about what happened today but she didn't know what to answers and she quickly bandaged her hand. She just walked to and fro. Then she heard another knock, so she just got out.

G: Di! Did you meet him? What did he say? Was he nice to u?

Gunjan didn't know about RV that much but personally she didn't like him, she thought that he is harming her sister but she never dared to ask and whenever Nupur comes home after meeting him, she always looked dull and she would have hurt herself and it's the same today.

G: DI! WHAT HAPPENED? (shaking Nupur) why do u have a bandage on your hand.

N: Oh Gunjan, everything went well he likes me a lot. Actually this happened when he came near me to kiss but I didn't let him and got myself hurt. That's why I always say, if you do something good, God always punishesu, see I prevented someone touching me and I got myself hurt.

G: I'm really happy for u di! I never thought that he would be nice to u but I don't like him coming near u before marriage.

N: Gunjan, haven't u watched any movies where the hero is having a romantic time with the heroine otherwise films would be boring and life would be boring too.

Gunjan smiled hearing an explanation from her sister about films. Nupur put a fake smile but inside she was crying. Both girls went and watched DDLJ for the hundredth time.

Few days later, Nupur got a phone call.

N: Hello

C: Hello beta, it's me Padma.

N: Hi aunty! How r u?

P: I am fine beta! How r u?

N: I am completely fine

P: I heard that you had an accident, why didn't u inform us

N: Oh that aunty, it wasn't really big just a small accident and Gunjan was here to look after me.

P: oh ok, beta, well i want to see u and today all of us including u and Ranvijay are going shopping

N: Aunty, i am sorry i am quite busy today!

P: come on beta, just for us, today, we really have to do some shopping

N: (she didn't want to disagree much to Padma, RV's mum,) Ok aunty, at what time?

P: 4:00pm sharp.

N: sure, Bye

They hung up, Nupur didn't really want to go but she still went and met Padma, Shekar (RV's dad), RV, Sanjay (RV's brother) Sanjay was a real nice person, he was the nicest, he always talked to Nupur as his close friend and so did Nupur. He didn't know anything about how their family and Nupur know each other. Shekar was nice and so was Padma but they had a reason to be nice to Nupur.

They all met. Sanjay came and hugged Nupur. Nupur touched Shekar's and Padma's feet. She just ignored RV.

Mayank didn't know when Samrat is going to come but he had this feeling that it would happen soon and he wanted to go back to USA. The thought of Nupur being tortured still hurt him. To forget that pain he went shopping for his mum. He wanted to get a sari for her and one for Nupur but he didn't know when he would meet her. He goes to the same shopping mall that Nupur went at 4: 30.

All went to the sari section as they wanted to get sari. Nupur wanted to get a sari for Gunjan as she needed something to wear on Nupurs special day. RV's family members were looking for a sari for Nupur and Padma.

Mayank entered the shopping mall and entered the sari sections. He saw RV; he wanted to kill him but did nothing. Mayank didn't see RV's family members or Nupur. He just went and stood next to RV, RV got a phone call.

RV: Hey babes!

RV: I love you too! I miss you so much too!

RV: well, don't get too close to him.

RV: listen I've got to go I'll speak to u soon. Bye.

Mayank was shocked to hear this

Samrat thought today he will surprise Diya and tell her that he loves her. He really wanted to know if she loves him too but as she reacted towards him he felt that she had some feeling towards him. Samrat quickly got ready and left his house to get to Diya's office. It took him quite a long time to reach her office because of traffic but before going to Diya's office he went to a jewellery shop to get her a ring as he thought of proposing to her.

S: can u show me that diamond ring plz (pointing)

Se: sure sir (he showed the ring to Samrat)

Samrat didn't like it that much so he asked the seller to show him some other diamond rings. It took Samrat quite a long time to find a good ring which suited Diya and would compliment her. At last he found a beautiful ring. He purchased the ring which was very expensive.

Finally, Samrat gets to Diya's office. He gets to the door and he sees that Diya is facing her back towards him so he thinks of surprising her. He doesn't knock and quietly walks in. He hears Diya on the phone talking to someone.

D: Hey darling

D: I really missed you. I love you so much

D: anyway, I have this friend, well a fool and he didn't realize that I was using him and his name is Samrat and I made him spend a lot of money while we went shopping and I thinks he really likes me but I don't, I mean he keeps on staring at me but anyway I love u not him.

D: I won't.

D: Ok, bye.

Samrat heard everything and he was devastated, shocked how could Diya do this to him and how could he get into her trap. He loved her but she used him. While leaving his arm knocked down a vase and Diya saw Samrat.

D: oh...Samrat, how are u? A pleasant surprise (She walked up to him).

Samrat was very angry at her and she was acting all normal. He lifted his hand and slapped her hard. Diya was left dumbstruck.

D: how dare u? Mein tumhe nahin chodun ge.

S: SHUT UP DIYA! You completely ruined my life.

Just then Diya thought that he must have heard when she was on the phone. Samrat didn't want to say to her so he just left. Diya was about to go talk to him but she wasn't bothered.

Samrat got into his car and zoomed off.

Mayank didn't know what to do. He got really angry but he thought that he must say all of this to Nupur

M: What's happening here? Who is he? Who is he talking to, maybe it is Nupur? No, it can't be, he tortured her that much two days ago.

And RV moved away and while thinking a seller asked do you need any help sir?

M: Yes plz! (I need to get a sari for mum, Nupur and Gunjan)

He though Gunjan as a good friend and he never gave anything to her as a gift for have letting Nupur stay with him for two weeks so the seller showed different, different sari's and he saw a yellow sari and he pointed at it.

Nupur was looking for a sari for Gunjan from the past 45 minutes and she couldn't find a good one but finally she sees a beautiful yellow sari.

N: That one plz (pointing)

Both sellers helping, Mayank and Nupur reached for the same sari then Mayank and Nupur turned around and saw each other. Both of them were really shocked to see each other but at the same time they were really happy, on top of the world. Mayank was so mesmerized by Nupur's beauty in a white shalwar kameez. Mayank came to the conclusion that RV wasn't talking to Nupur as she was here. Nupur didn't want to talk as RV might see her.

M and N: Hi (laughs)

N: I have been calling u from the past two weeks

M: same here but I have a phone problem, that's why

Seller: mam, he wants the same one and u asked at the same time so u can choose what to do.

Nupur looked at Mayank

M: Nupur, I don't think yellow would match you that much. I mean red would look superb on u

N; (laughs) it's not for me, it's for ...

RV and his family members comes and she says Mayank you buy it, bye...

She walks away to them. Mayank wanted to tell her but he thought that it wasn't the right time. He purchased the sari Gunjan and a beautiful red sari for Nupur and a sari for his mom.

Nupur and the family members left. Mayank really want to speak to Nupur but he couldn't. He suddenly remembered that his mobile was with Nupur. He thought that tomorrow morning he would go to Nupurs house to get his mobile.

Next day, Mayank was very eager to meet Nupur. He got into his car and left for Nupur's house. He got there quite quick and rang the bell. No one answered. Again the rang the bell. He thought no one was at home and he was about to leave when someone opened the door. It was Nupur.

N: hey Mayank, how are u. Come in.

Mayank saw that she just had a bath and she looked beautiful with wet hair. He was lost in her beauty. Nupur clicked her fingers in front of him and he came back to senses.

M: oh...sorry.

N: come in.

M: sure

They went in and Nupur made coffee for both of them, both didn't know what to say. Mayank was thinking why he came here when he remembered that he came to get his mobile.

M: Nupur, I think u have my mobile.

N: oh yeah, sorry I forgot to give it back to u.

M: it's ok.

Nupur went to get the phone when the bell rang again and she thought who it could be when she suddenly remembered that it was RV. She rushed back to Mayank.

N: Mayank go hide! Quick.

M: why what happened?

N: just go plz.

M: ok, ok

Mayank went and hid in another room. Nupur quickly opened the door.

RV: why did u take a long time to open the door!?

N: woh...woh I was in the shower.

Ranvijay put his hand onto her neck and strangled her. He then left her.

RV: u know that I don't like waiting anyway Ma ne mujhe behja hahan dekhne ki liye ki tum mar gayee ho ya zinda ho.

He walked in and looked around. Nupur was very nervous as Mayank was here and what would happen if Ranvijay saw him.

RV: ok. I'm going and next time don't make me wait.

Nupur just nodded. RV left. She went to the other room and saw Mayank just sitting there.

M: Who was it?

N: plz can u leave ill talk to u later.

M: par huwa kya?

N: nothing, just go plz.

Mayank left and Nupur felt bad making Mayank go but she had no choice. Mayank was on his was his way home when he remembered that he forgot to take his mobile and ask about that person. Mayank was about to turn to go back to Nupur's house but then he thought it wasn't the right time and he went home.
