"well don't tell me you guys don't know where she is???" a surprised anjali said " she is in Canada she has been there for the past 20 years, but as far as I remember she has never mentioned about any relative in India"
"and what about your father did she ever tell you about him" abhay asked again
"yes she told me that they were separated and I know no other details about him ab main jaaoon please" anjali asked
"Yesā¦" abhay said as he thought about kusum being alive and he had finally had a daughter who was right in front of him, he was soo immersed in his thought of happiness about kusum and anjali that he dint listen to what anjali had asked
"thank you" anjali got up happily and started picking up her luggage, devyani, disha and the others looked at her shocked and then they all stared at abhay.

Anjali happily picked up her bags and started to walk towards the door when abhay finally realized that anjali was leaving "wait" abhay screamed "where do you think you arre going" he asked
"you gave me permission to leave" anjali said as she looked at the whole Kapoor clan
"no you cant leave this place anjali this is your house" abhay said
"my house is in Canada" anjali said in a stubborn tone "look mr. I don't know who you are and how we are related for all I know is I have only one relationship in my life and that is my momā¦ rest I don't know who my dad is and neither do I want to know about him because for all I know my mom and dad are separated.. ok" anjali said
"Separated" angad frowned "Cant you see she had faked her death to keep you away from us"
"I beg your pardonā¦ she hasn't .. my mom can never lie to me, she must have had a solid reason behind this and why the hell would she hide me from you guys I don't even know you" anjali raised her voice in anger
"yes you don't know us because she must have never told you about us and what solid reason can you think off girl just like you she is my mother too and I have lived with out her for the past 20 years" angad said in anger
" your mother oh come onn.. mom told me that I am her only girl child" anjali screamed
"yeah you are the only girl child and cant you see we are not females" angad screamed
"stop it would youā¦ both of you quite" abhay screamed
"one second.." anjali finally began to comprehend the situation "if she is your mom too then are you my biological brother" anjali spat
"now do you finally get it" angad said "what did you just say??"
"yes! I said you are my biological brother or maybe a half brother" anjali said
" I am your what???" angad asked
"my biological half brother is that so difficult to understand wait let me explainā¦. look my mom is your mom so this means we are related but its not necessary that your dad is my dad too" anjali explained in a know it all tone where as disha and devyani clasped their mouth on this statement of anjali "you know we can have different dad just like ansh and AD and for all you know in this world you may be my half brother but we are still biologically related right" anjali explained, at this statement of anjali aarman, DK and angad looked at her hopelessly
"more over Jessica and richard they have the same father but different mothersā¦and this is still exciting isn't it" anjali looked at arman angad and dk who had the same hopeless look "am I speaking too much" anjali asked them and aarman nodded
Abhay who had heard anjali's classic explanation on what exactly is a half brother burst out laughing "if he is your biological brother anjali then I am your biological father and let me tell you both of you have the same set of parents the same mother and father" he said
Anjali was silent, finally it had dawned to her that the biggest reason her mom never wanted her to come to India was her father, and the man was standing right in front of her.
"father" anjali gulped in fear "how can this beā¦ā¦.. I mean ā¦. I knew my father was there somewhere in this world and I never knew the place would be Indiaā¦ I mean do you have any proofs saying that you are my father" anjali asked bluntly
The kapoors looked at anjali in horror but abhay decided to deal with her in his own way "I am your mothers legally married husband and I have our marriage registration papers if you want to see them" abhay said calmly
"is itā¦ā¦ā¦and mr. you expect me to believe this " anjali gave abhay a disgusted look "all this while I am trying to tell you how innocent I am butā¦ you guys are now crossing your limits" anjali said rudely
"but all this is true and I am actually your dadā¦and I never knew my second kid would be a girl" he paused and looked at her "and once I tell you the whole story and then a lot of things would be clear for you" abhay smiled convincingly
"I need to call my hotelā¦ They would be waiting for me to check inn and I am sorry I have no time to listen to your story" anjali once again picked up her bags to leave and then turned around "now please don't follow me and try to convince me that we are all a happy familyā¦ because all I know is my family is just my mother and I am not willing to share her with you allā¦. Get that straight into your heads that kusum Kapoor is just my motherā¦. And not anyone elseā¦ mother, wife or daughter in law"
"hold onnā¦ do you think we are all lieing about a women who means everything to us" anagd asked anjali angrily
"I don't know I cant sayā¦" anjali said without meeting his eyes "just tell me you do you expect me to believe that after 20 yearsā¦. I get to know I have a father and a brother and to top it all a familyā¦. Where as I have always been told that by my mother that she is a single parent and I have no family except her in this worldā¦ she lives for me and I live for herā¦ I don't want a family a father, a brotherā¦. All I want is my mother because she is the only person I love" anjali said in tears and once again she turned back and walked out of the Kapoor mansion.
Angad and aarman were about to follow her when "angad aarman usse jaane do" devyani said calmnly
"but dadi who aise kaiseā¦" angad paused and looked at devyani
"give her some timeā¦..usse bahut bada dhakka laga hai" devyani said
"but dadi even we are shocked just like herā¦ā¦ aap soch bhi nahi sakti ki angad aur mujhe kaisa lag raha hogaā¦. All of a sudden one day we get to knowā¦" aarman looked at devyani
"I understand ā¦. But you have to try and understand what she is going throughā¦. Till date her mother has been her worldā¦her only familyā¦. And she has known this fact for the past 20 yearsā¦.both of you have been brought up in a family, but she just has her mother whom she addresses as her familyā¦ā¦. For her she never knew who was her father and atleast you knew who your mother wasā¦ how she looked what she liked and dislikedā¦ and one fine day she lands up at an unknown house and gets to know that its her houseā¦ I mean her fathers houseā¦ who is according to her separated from her mother even before her birthā¦ how do you expect her to reactā¦..after all she is a kid" devyani said
"per ma voh meri beti haiā¦ iss ghar ki ek lauti beti, iss khandaan ki pehli beti" abhay said "usse aise akela kaise chod de"
"ma bhaiya theek bol rahe haiā¦ voh bacchi hai" DK said
"ma usse thoda waqt dena hi hogaā¦. Hum usse yeh ehsaas dilayege ki hum sab usse kitna pyaar kerte hai aur hum usse uski maa ko nahi cheenege" disha said
"haanā¦ yehi theek haiā¦. All she needs is some time for herselfā¦. She is scared at the moment that she will have to share her mother love with usā¦ but she is not able to understand that she will get the love of others too" devyani said
"per dadi voh Mumbai mein akeli haiā¦.." angad said
" voh akeli nahi hai we are all there with herā¦ā¦..usse hum akela nahi rehne dengeā¦ we will make her realize how much we all love herā¦. And she is a part of this family too" devyani said
"matlab" aarman frowned
"matlabā¦.. one of us will be there with her all the timeā¦.. now find out which hotel she is staying at and both of you be polite with her" devyani said
"and don't come back unless and until you find her and see that she is safe" abhay warned
Angad and aarman nodded and they walked out "now how are we going to find where is she staying" angad said as he started the car
"I really hope she hasn't gone too far" aarman said
Angad drove the car out of the Kapoor mansion and as his luck would have it he saw Anjali taking a cab, angad and aarman silently decided to follow the cab. 30 minutes later the car stopped at juhu beach.
"now what is wrong" aarman said
"lets see.." angad said
They saw anjali getting down from the cab and walking towards the beach shores "now what is wrong with her" aarman asked impatitently
"lets see" angad said as they got down to follow her. Anjali went and sat on one of the rocks of the beach shores and stared blankly at the sky. Aarman and angad watched her for 2 minutes and then aarman instructed angad that they should go and sit beside her.
Anjali felt someone sitting beside her while she ignored the person and continued to stare "so are you scared or sad at the moment" aarman asked anjali who continued staring blankly at the sky.
"both" anjali responded with looking at the person
"good now tell me what's your next move" aarman asked again
"I don't knowā¦.. I guess I will go back" Anjali said sadly
"you know even I am sad but I am not running away from the truth like you are" angad said in a soft voice
"I beg your pardon" anjali now finally glanced at angad who was sitting beside her "what the hell are you doing here" anjali said as she got up "the two of you are following me again????? How many zillion times do I need to tell you please leave me aloneā¦. I am nobody to you and forget the fact that I ever met you" anjali said as tears rolled down her eyes
"look here anjali we are not here to hurt youā¦ā¦we juust wanted to assure that you are safe" angad said in a concerned voice
"go awayā¦. I don't need anyone's concern" anjali said sadly
"look anjaliā¦. Even if you try to deny ā¦.. we can not run away from the truth ā¦the truth that we are bondedā¦ relatedā¦.we are your family" aarman said
"I told you already I am not a part of your family" anjali said rudely
"look anjaliā¦ā¦.." angad caught anjali by her shoulders roughly "do you know how much it hurts when you have to live twenty long years without a mother ā¦ do you even have the idea.. how our dad has lived with out her like a lifeless personā¦ā¦. Do you know how it feels when you have no one to share your fears withā¦. I have felt this for twenty long years anjaliā¦. You have no idea how much it pains to live a life as an orphan even after having your family with you" angad said in tears
Anjali released herself from angads grip "enough" she screamed "you are talking about your painā¦ rightā¦ do you even have the slight idea what I am going throughā¦. Do you know how it feels to be called an illegitimate child.. oh no how would you feel it you had a familyā¦ a mother whom you knew.. a father who was there by your side.. a brother for your supportā¦. But you know angad I had nobodyā¦. Except for my friends and their familyā¦ and right now I do not wish to discuss anything about itā¦and now" anjali looked at aarman with hatered in her eyes " let me tell you I am here to persue my dreams and I will stay here till I don't achieve itā¦.. and how ever hard you try to convince me ā¦ I would never accept you as my family" anjali walked away from angad and aarman
"and anjali we are here to prove that you are a part of our familyā¦.. this is your family and I promise that with in no time you will be in love with us and accept us as your family" angad screamed behind her.
"now what next" aarman asked angad
"ghar jaker maar khani hai kya??" angad looked at aarman
"nahi" aarman said coolly
"toh phir aur kya just follow her cab again" angad said
"yaar bhagwan se ek behen maangi thiā¦ aur who mili bhi toh aise ab hum duniya ko kya jawaab dengeā¦ why are we following a girl at midnight" aarman said
"main toh issi main khush hoon ki humne jo maanga voh hume mil gayaā¦ ab mujhe kissi ko koi jawaab nahi dena all I wish is she accepts us wholeheartedly" angad smiled as they walked up to their car and started following anjali again.
15 minutes later anjali's cab stopped again at Le. Maridian and anjali finally checked inn, angad and aarman left for home after they were satisfied that anjali was safe enough to be left alone.

"Mr.. Can you please drop me at NACH" she asked the car driver
The driver continued staring at her and then nodded, anjali quickly got into the car as soon as she received an approval, she quickly looked at aarman as she sat in the car "phew that was close" anjali said
"excuse me" the driver asked
"no not you please continue driving" anjali gave a small smile to the driver
Aarman looked at anjali and then rushed to their car "quick follow that car" aarman told angad
"wait I have seen that car somewhereā¦.. isn't that kavya's car" angad looked at aarman in horror
