@ nats and rav - also where the ff index is in place and hats off to the mods because im sure it's taken them a lot of time and effort to complie it and update it the drawback we have is that not all the members i suppose know of it? or rather for some reason haven't all added on their creations to the list so the mids haven't been able to update it.Yep..i agree but i duno why it isnt being updated.

I mean at least that way especially new writers wouldn't feel so intimidated by the 'old timers' here and everyones stories/creations would have a chance to be seen and read if people want right?

I'd love to know what you guys think? and who knows, if enough people think its a useful enough idea maybe we could get the mods to try and design something that does just that?

I think its a good idea and somethign ont he same line I had mentioned int he suggestion page . Hope it comes up it will help readers who want to read a fresh new story and comment from the begginning as they read

If a story that didn't have any characters from a serials were to be posted... how many would read it? are we all only reading stories because they have specific character names in them?

I woudl luv to read it will help me in not having favourites and not havign expectatiosn abotu the way the loved telly actors are treated...as I myslef post maximum story whcih are non serial based. I do have my set of readers and can tell from my own experience that the number of readers are less. If i post a popular telly charcter the readers i get are more..

I WOULD READ IT! Thank you for asking Lubna. I've noticed that we have way too much bias in this section. Most of the time, what's respected is the use of popular actors rather than the incorporation of new, scratch-built characters or the writing style...I just think non-serial based characters hold so mucn more power...and I personally know people, (including myself) who don't post their stuff on here because it's not appreciated. 😕

Lubna, I think this may work, the FF index isn't updated regularly. But if there was a method where you can enter your FF and all other relevant information as an option in the FF forum, so that when you submit it, it automatically adds that to the bigger list of all ffs that means the responsibility of adding that info falls squarely on the writer and does not require regular updates by a mod. that way there would be a list that people can go through..but as i read somewhere in this post, the mods seem to have a *surprise* planned 😉 hope that works out
