Nupur- nicky likh de pleaseee.... khaana baad mein kha lena.

Raunak- bas 10 minutes yaar.

Nupur- yaar ye likhde phir main dia ko bol dungi, tujhe apne haathon se khaana khilaaye.

Raunak- dia.... oh shit!

Raunak quickly started getting up and started packing his bag.

Nupur- oye tu kahaan ja raha hai?

Raunak- yaar maine dia se 830 ko milna tha in the mec waala lounge.

Nupur- phir yeh.... arre... ufff...

She said as she saw him running.

She slowly put her hands to her head and started massaging it, main to gayee, she thought.

Anna- main likh dun?

Nupur- nahi yaar. Project uski hand writting se shuru kiya hai to usi ki hand writting mein hona chahiye na. Warna it looks disgusting!

Kashi- to ek kaam karna, abhi ye project chod de, ye ghar jaake u anna and raunak do it. Abhi take out the 3^rd one and lets do it!

Nupur- tum log paagal hogaye ho. Its not a hands trick yaar, ki kuch bhi kaise bhi karlo, aur agar yeh raunak waapas na aaya na to main suicide kar loo-

Joel- chup kar. Bloody. Bahut ho gaya.

Keshav- i know nupur. Kal hi to suicide kiya hai. Aise cheeze itni frequently nahi karte yaar.

Anna and kashi put their hands to their heads thinking- this guy is actually mad!

Joel banged his fist at the table and said to keshav- star bucks dude, did you know aaj canteen mein special type ke ice creams ban rahi hai. Jaake leke aa na. Warna khatam ho jaayengi.

Hearing this keshav quickly got up and ran off to the counter while joel seemed highly amused.

Anna, kashi and nupur who were frowning at his amused expression turned to the counter to see what he was finding so amusing. It was keshav. He was standing in the end of a hell long line of people who were buying breakfasts.

At this all the 3 girls laughed out.

Kashi- bllody hell jo. You are seriously the most mean creature on earth.

Joel- arre dont worry, shyaam ko ill give him an ice cream treat. Happy?

Kashi cutely hit him on the head.

Kashi- haan anyways i was saying, lets divide, hum 6 log hai na.

Nupur- 7. Dias gonna help too.

Kashi- okay 7.

Joel- no yaar. 6. Star bucks is a complete dodo. How do you think he'll help in the project?

Kashi- okay fine jo. 6. So we'll divide and mismatch with each other everyother day. To have a new kind of creativity in each of the project.

Joel- and ya. Raunak, nupur and anna have to pair up wid one of us. Fair?

Nupur- why>?

Anna- coz handwritting hamari honi chahiye na sweety. Warna tamanna maam ko pata chal jaayega ki we were not doing it on ourselves.

Nupur- right.

Nupur took out her register and started tearing off a page when dia and raunak came back and took the empty seats.

Kashi filled in raunak and dia on what they were planning.

Raunak- okay thats cool. And i know the pairs. Anna can be with kashi, nupur can be with joel. And of course me and dia are gonna be together.

Anna- okay cool.

Just then keshav came back with a not-so-happy look on his face.

Keshav- you know they said ice creams saari khatam ho gayee.

Anna- awww my shweetu babyy, chalo jo will treat you with a ice cream in the evening. Cool?

Keshav- awww i love you guys.

Nupur- hey guys, im going to go to the library. Books lene. Leke ill get them here and we'll divide them project wise.

Raunak- cool nonie. Take your time.

Saying this nupur went off to the library to make a list of books.

Gunjan who was sitting alone in one of the class rooms, suddenly looked up to see mayank come in.

Mayank- hey gunjan. Tum yahaa? Main tumhe pure college mein dhund raha tha.

He said with a cheery expression.

Gunjan looked highly confused.

Mayank- haan. I wanted to say, gunjan im soo sorry. Wo kal tumne phone kiya aur aade mein hi mera phone dead ho gaya tha.

Gunjan- hhun?

Mayank- tum kya bol rahi thi??

Gunjan- main.. main to.. kuch bhi nahi.

She said heaving out a sigh of relief.

Mayank- okay.. neways take care. Main library ja raha hoon okay?

Gunjan smiled and said- ya okay. Bye

Mayank- bye.

And he went off.

Mayank opened the door of the library and went inside.

He quickly approached the 2^nd shelf and started going through the books when he saw nupur shuffling thorugh 10 books. As he saw her he couldnt get his eyes off her. As he saw her he thought, Shes so pretty, intelligent, practical and caring, why does she wanna be cool.

He looked at her from top to bottom . green converse shoes, knee length jeans, green half sleeves shirt, hardly any make up except for the kaajal, on her pensieved eyes, over which she wore her spectacles which just added to her charm, a few inches below shoulder straight brown hair. It was all so perfect, then why was she trying to ruin her own personality.

Thinking about her he blindly took a book and started walking along, deep in thought, when suddenly- CRASHH...

He crashed into nupur, who looked furious at mayank, for crashing into her. Now she'll have to pick up all these books again, itne mushkil se to inne ek khatta karke pakda tha. Ab phir se.

Mayank- oye madam. Whats your problem? Maine tumhe kal bhi bola tha, ki aise mujhse crash mat karo, anyhow im not forgiving you.

Nupur shut her eyes, and breathed in hard and thought, nupur ye tujhe gussa dilaana chahta hai, kyu ki isse shayad lagta hai, ki aisa karega to main isse argue karne ke liye silent treatment thod dungi. But no.

Thinking this she ignored mayank, and went back to her books and slowly started picking them up one by one.

Mayank made a face and started picking up the books and put them on her hands. And got up and went off.

Meanwhile nupur was fuming with anger- how dare he? That freaky wierdo. Main bhi usko batadungi ki main kaun hoon. bloody psycho!

Thinking this she went back to the cafeteria.

Next morning they all were huddled up in the cafe table.

Nupur- so we,ve done, 1,2,3,3 1/2.

Anna- yup.

Dia- not bad.

Kashi- see i told you, teamwork is the key to success!

She said with a dreamy look on her face.

Joel- jhaansi shut up.

Kashi- oho—

Raunak- jai mata di. Ab chup kar.

Kashi scowled and went back to her private talks with joel, her best friend.

Anna- toh aaj kya kya karna hai.

Dia- aaj main aur nupur, saath ho jaate hai. Kashi and joel can be together and nicky and anna can be together. Fair?

Kashi- ya.

Dia- okay so lets get to work.

Saying this they all got up and went off.

Nupur- omg, you guys are so hell fast yaar. Now only one project left. And todays just thursday. Project submission to Monday ko hai.

Anna- actually sweetheart. Hum sab soch rahe the ki kyun ki tomorrow is friendships day. Hum kal projects to kar nahi sakte kyu ki hum hameshaa friendships day par full on masti hoti hai! And uske baad Saturday and Sunday we'll have to have a nice fun time, tu Monday evening ja rahi hai na!

Raunak- so aaj we'll finish off with this and then we can have nice fun 3 days, with you. Before you go off for your classes to get into mba.

Nupur- hmmm...

Dia- hey guys lets go warna lecture ke liye late ho jayenge.

Saying this they all got up and went off towards the lecture of deodhar sir.

Mayank sat at his place arguing with himself. Yeh card use doon ki nahi? Har saal deta hai na, to is saal bhi de. Par wo to mujhse baat nahi kar rahi hai. To doon ki nahi. Par agar friendships day pe tune use nahi diya, to use bura lagega. To lage, wo mujhe silent treatment de rahi hai, to bura to mujhe bhi lag raha hai. Uffff.... fine mat de. Stick to your silence.

Nupur who was sitting in her room with dia, slowly started writting in all the cards. In the end she took out the card which she had got for mayank.

Dear mayank,

Tum ek bahut hi achhe insaan, mere saath nahi, but waise you are. So well although we are not friends anymore, i wish you a great life ahead.

Next morning nupur came to college and gave everyone the cards, then she went off looking for mayank.

Nupur- zaroor library main pad raha hoga.

Saying this she went off to the library, where mayank was studying.

She went and sat beside him. And said- hi mayank.

Mayank slowly looked up and said – hey.

Nupur- um.. im sorry.

Mayank- kyun?

Nupur- silent treatment ke liye. Wo thoda zyada ho gaya tha.

Mayank thought to himself- ab pachtaane se kuch nahi hoga beta.

Nupur- anyways to-

Mayank- i dont care!

Nupur- kya?

Mayank- tum mujhse karo, na karo mujhe pharak nahi padta.

Nupur- achha tabhi itna sulky bante phirte the.

Mayank- please, continue your silent treatment, its doing me alot of good.

Nupur- hold it, what?

Mayank- well, im not interested in talking to you. So i think you should leave.

Nupur- i shouldve known. Im so dumb na mayank. Mujhe bura laga ki main tumse baat kyu nahi kar rahi. And i actually got a card for you.

Saying this she threw the card at mayanks face, and marched out of the library.

Anna- us kamine ki ye himmat.

Raunak-main to pehle se kehta tha, us bande ki koi aukaat to hai nahi, saala bond banta phirta hai.

Nupur- ab kya karoo?

Anna- ek kaam kar, ek 'i hate you' letter likh.

Nupur- par im not good at all this.

Raunak- sweets phir hum kis ke liye hai hun? Hum bhi apni dil ki badhaaz thodi si nikaal dete hai saale pe.

Saying this they sat down to write the letter.

Mayank slowly read the message of the card and felt himself go white with guilt. Har baar ki tarah tune dhika diya na ki dude you have no life at all.

Chalo its done, said anna.

She quickly called one of the girls wearing a checked shirt and handed her the letter and gave her some instructions.

Mayank sat there on his seat trying to study, but hell couldnt. He banged his fist on the table when suddenly some one called out his name from behind.

'mayank sharma?'

Mayank- ya

He said turning around to face the girl

Girl- ye letter nupur ne aapko dene ko kaha hai.

She said handing out a piece of paper to him.

Mayank- thanks

He said quickly talking the letter and opening it.

It read-

Mayank,

So you hate me now. You changed yourself completely, the way you talk, the way you think and the way you laugh. Yet something is not right, because I changed for you, because of you. So I don't really understand why you talk this way. Whenever I come around, you turn. When I say hey, you leave. And personally I think you have every right to get away from me. But sometimes I think isn't it funny, at a point of time in life you were everything to me, I never listened to what they all said, that you were not worth it. I can understand that you got new friends and so you threw away the old ones. But I guess that's the way things go isn't it. I mean someone famous said-

'theres a reason why some people don't get to come with you ahead in life, and that's coz they are not worth it.'

But its just now I realize you have hurt me so much, that I feel so stupid for holding on to you. And I can see how every piece of your shallowness has won and how you've hit new lows. And so I am asking you to let me be, the way I am. I gave you the right to destroy a long time back, and yet I trusted you that you wouldn't. now to you I make a sincere request to you and gunjan, please do not destroy what is left of me.

Now I am happy and singing the way I was when you were around, breathing is now a lot easier, and im free again.

I've finally accepted that you are long gone from my life, and I have to move on.

But now that I look back I see where the change came. It wasn't me, it was you who became strange. And now I know you were never what I need.

You are cheap and you're shallow. And so I accept now that I hate you too.

reading this mayank couldnt help but feel tears welling up in his eyes. Well, mayank sharma, tab usse battameezi karne ki himmat thi, to ab is consequence ko bhukatne ki himmat rakhi. Calm down.

Dia had been ignoring gunjan and her calls since the time she had got to know the truth. Samrat had been too coward to come around to college. Mayank had been busy, preparing for exams which were gonna take place after the 2 month break. And dia had finally started enjoying herself, something she didnt know how to do till yesterday.

Probably because she had been with mayank. If nupur and mayank had not been so furious at each other, dia might have gone and studied with mayank. But well.. sometimes you have to do it the sisterly way.
