Every1 was happy. Mayank & Nupur were back from their honeymoon… all of them were having a get together at Kashish's place… for 2 reasons… there would b no1 to disturbe them no matter how much noise they make + KaSHIHS MADE DELICIOUS FOOD…

The gang was busy teasing Nupur & Mayank as they were just back from their honeymoon & Nupur had rosy red cheeks thanks to the teasing she had endured.

Ridz just turned on the Tv to catch her fav program. The news channel was on… suddenly Rishi's photo were being telecasted on the new front. Kashish was shocked to see this… the incident had happened 4 hours ago… her mom & dad & the whole media was there but no1 had informed Kashsih abt it…

Sujal just took 1 look on Kashish's face & his hands turned into fists… full of haterated for Kashish's family. Her face was just the mirror of her emotions… he just went to her & hugged her. Every1 understood when Kashish was going throught. Sam just picked up the phone & called his contact. He had the full info of the situation in next 10 mins.

Rishi had been arrested for drunk driving. He had smashed his car into a car… thanks god the car was empty… the alcohol level in his blood streams was high. He was arrested by the police immediately. Media had picked up the situation within an hour. Mr & Mrs. Sinha had arrived on the scene in half an hour with theior lawyer. The bail proceedigns were under way.

KR: I think it is better if u & Kashish go there Sujal.

S: no let her call there… & then just judge the situation & then go… v cant risk going in the lime light like this.

K: I will call dad right now. (Her father just picks up her call after 3 rings) dad what's all this abt Rishi in the news.

AB: Kashish… u just stay away from all this… v have the whole situation under control.

K: dad the media is crying like a bitch abt the whole situation… & u r saying the whole thing is under control.

AB: Kashish that is our problem not urs…u just b cozy in ur world…. Ur apartment with that boyfriend of urs..

K: don't u dare tell me what to do??? Even I have responsibility towards my bro… & I want to help.

AB: the biggest help u will provide us will b to stay away from this mess & don't even try to help…

Saying so he cuts the phone.

Kashish is just dumfounded. Seeing her condition sujal tells every1 to go away… he wishes to take care of her. Kashish is unaware of the tears running on her cheeks. Sujal just picks her up & carries her to her room & makes her lie on the bed. He slips in next to her to give her some comfort.

K: Sujal, am I worthless???

S: no ur not… u r worth more that all the treasures put together in the world.

K: then y doesn't any1 love me???

S: who says so??? I love u… Kripa loves u more than she loves me. Angad, Arman, Sam & Mayank love u so much that they have given me a warniing… if they ever find a tear in ur eyes they r going to gang up against me & take me to the to our 3^rd degree room & practice their skills on me…

K: but then y don't my parents love me…

S: sometimes giving love is not easy…

K: but I want that love… will u love me tonight…

Sujal didn't know what to do… he knew in what state of mind she was… but with the plead in her voice he couldnt stop himself.

She was tough in the best sense of the world. She'd taken the bows, the disappointment & had worked her way through them. Some people he knew would have buckled under, found a crunch or given up. But Kashish, his Kashish had carved a place for herself & had made it work.

Underneath the toughness he'd found passion. He'd sensed & now was certain that it had gone untapped. Whether it was fate, bind luck or timing, he'd found the key that had released it. He wouldn't allow it to b locked again or to be opened by any1 but himself.

Beneath the passion was a touching shyness. A sweetness that was a miracle in itself, considering her childhood & the disillusions she'd faced so early in life.

Now beneath all the rest he'd found a core of fragility. He was determined to protect that vulnerability. & it was to the fragile Kashish that he would make love tonight… in kindness as much as love. In compassion as well as desire. Softly his touch barely a whisper, he brushed her hair away from her face. There were tears still drying on her cheeks. With his fingertips, he wiped them away. He wouldn't b able to prevent more from being shed, but he would do whatever he could to see that she didn't shed them alone.

He kissed her once then twice where the tears had stain. Then he kissed her again tenderly. Night shadows shifted across her face, but he could see her eyes half closed with fatigue but very aware as watched him.

It was just that easy. She hadn't known love could b soothing. Tonight when her emotion were raw & her self esteem at its lowest ebb, he showed the other side of desire. A desire to please & one to nurture. A desire to have, & to heal. He touched her as though she alone mattered.

He drew her shirt so that the material trailed over her skin before it was discarded but he didn't take what she would have given. With his eyes on hers he removed his own. When she reached for him he took her hands pressing them both to his lips.

He undressed her slowly, carefully as though she were asleep & he didn't want to disturb her. The tenderness of it brought its own strange ache. Though she was naked & totally open to him, he contented himself with long lazy kisses & the feel of her hair under his hands.

Her skin looked so white against the dark spread. He ran his hand down her arm, watching the movement. The moon had waned to a thin crescent, shedding little light but he already knew her so well. Still he traced her face with his fingertips, outlining her features for his own pleasure.

He'd never treated her like this before. Kashish closed her eyes as she began to drift in contentment. Even thought passion & hunger, he'd always shown her an unexpected sweetness… may b from the time he had fallen in love with her. But this was what it menat to b cherished. This was the way promises were given when they were meant to b kept. Ti made her eyes swim & her heart break just a little at the beauty of it.

He felt stronger somehow, being gentle. He'd never wanted her more than he did at this moment & yet he had never felt less need to rush. The passion was there & growing but it was filled with a need to comfort.

Time passed unnoticed, unheeded. In the darkest hours of the morning he led her gently higher.

The rhythm of her heart beat under his lips, fast, unsteady, but not yet desperate. Her arms were around him, holding his close but there was not urgent press of fingers. She moved with him, willing to let him set the pace, grateful that he understood, even if she hadn't that she needed the care.

Had she ever noticed how strong he was? How the muscles of his back & shoulder flexed & rippled with his moment? Inspired by love she sought to give him the same gentleness he showed her. Her touch was easy, her demands few. She heard in the murmur of her name that he felt as she did. They might never come together so perfectly, so unselfishly again. Her sight was quiet as she opened for him. They merged without heat but with much warmth.

Later, much later, she lay beside him, in a bistfull sleep as the sky began to lighten.
