So here goes—

PART 4-

College starts at around 10. It was around 8 30 when gunjan,dia and nupur reached mayanks place. They were greeted on the gate by shilpa aunty.

Shilpa- arre nupur beta kaisi ho?

Nupur- aunty main bilkul thik hoon.

Nupur- aunty these are my two sisters dia and gunjan.

She said pointing towards them.

Dia and gunjan- namastey aunty

Shilpa- namastey beta

Nupur- aunty mayank kahaan hai?

She said looking around.

Shilpa- nupur beta,usko sar dard ho raha tha to hes sitting in the garden.

Nupur- aunty main do minute usse milke aati huun.

Shilpa- okay beta jao,

Gunjan dia and aunty entered inside while nupur went outside to find mayank.

Mayanks garden was huge with loads of trees. It was more like a jungle.

She kept passing by trees and calling out his name. but he was nowhere to be seen.

She got tired and went to a tree to sit. Just when she was about to sit. Mayank came peeche se and picked her up in his arms.

Mayank smiled at her sheepishly.

Nupur- mayank kya kar rahe ho. Aunty aa gayee to?

Mayank- to aaye! Waise bhi aaj hum tum akele is gaane jungle mein hai to thodi masti ho jaaye.

Nupur- kya? Masti? Mayank dheko main.. main chilaungi !

Mayank- chalo ssath chilate hai! In three. One two…

Nupur- mayank!!!!

Mayanks smile widened.

Nupur- acha jo bhi. Chodo mujhe.

Mayank puts her down very tenderly.

Mayank- khush??

Nupur- hmmm..

She said smiling to her self.

Suddenly out of the corner of his eye mayank saw a branch on a tree just above nupur cracking. Nupur unknown to this fact was chapping on and on about last nights fun with her 2 sisters.

Mayank- nupur samblo.

He said as the branch fell and pulled her towards him. They fell over one another. Nupur was on top of mayank. Her hair on his face. Nupur could aleady feel the butterflies in her stomach. Both of them were lost in a eyelock when suddenly they heard mayanks mom calling out for hem to come inside.

Both of them got up awkwardly. Nupur was straightening her hair out.

When suddenly mayank came closer to her. He came so cose to her that she could the warmth of his breath. A blush was creeping on her cheeks. When suddenly mayank raised his hand to her hair and pulled out a twig. Put his hands to her cheek and slowly kissed her on her forehead.

When suddenly-

"mayank….. nupurr… kahaan ho tum dono???"

it was mayanks mom.

Mayank- a.. aa rahaan hoon maa!

Nupur and mayank looked at each other shyly.

Nupur- chalo umm.. chalet hain.

Mayank nodded and they went inside.

They shyly sat next to each other on the sofa.

Shilpa- main tum bacho ke liye coffee aur biscuits laati hoon.

And she went inside. Gunjan dia and anvita were sitting opposite to mayank and nupur. They three were deeply lost in a conversation about their 1^st day .

Mayank was looking at nupur with a smile on his face. Slowly he put his hand on nupurs hand and shifted a little more closer to her on the sofa. He could see her avoiding his eye. She on the other hand was on cloud9. she was blushing like anything. Slowly she lifted her gaze upto him and they had a an eyelock. When suddenly-

Shilpa aunty came out with the coffee tray. That was when mayank and nupur came back to conciousness removed their hand and mved a little away from each other. Still conscious of each others place they took the coffe and drank it.

When-

Nupur- aunty its 9 30 we all should be going. Or we'll get late for college.

Shilpa- ok beta.

All of them got up to leave when-

Mayank- nupur ek second mere saath andar chalo. Mere paas kuch books hai jo mujhe return karni hai library mein. Tum kardena unhe pls.

Nupur- acha ok.

Anvita- jaldi karo guys.

(u can imagine anvita as nikita of dill mill gayye)

nupur followed mayank upstairs into his room.

Mayank went to the cupboard and pulled out 3 books. He handed them to her. And said-

Mayank- aaj tum jo notes banaogi uske ek copy mere liye bhi bana dena plss.

Nupur- obviously mayank. agar tum mujhe na bhi bolte na to bhi itna to main tumhare liye karti!

Mayank- thanks.

Nupur- chalo ab main chalti warna hum late ho jayenge.

She turned to go when mayank pulled her towards him and hugged her. Both of them smiling to themselves. But this time they let go fast.

Nupur- ab main jau?? Ki aur kuch kehna hai??

Mayank- acha baba jao

Nupur left the room and went downstairs leaving mayank smiling to himself with a dreamy look on his face.

All 4 of them sat in the car and went on towards the college. Nupur calmly comforted the three of them on their way to college.

Dia and anvita were counting on every single word said by nupur while gunjan seemed distant to the three of them. She was looking out of the window thinking of the time she had spent with samrat. The water fights, those meals, the way they always cuddled together on the bed and the couch, the night they had kissed then the way he had brocken up with her , the look in his eyes when he told her that he is going back.

She closed her eyes to stop the bad memories from flooding in. and as she did she felt a tear trickle down her face. She quickly wiped it and continued looking out through the window. Hoping for some happiness to come her way.

She had no idea how close she was to the happiness of life that she had once found with samrat.
