Samira-Rehan are really adorable too. Apart from them, I even like Karan and Deepali because they both seem to hate each other so much yet are so comfortable with each other is amazing.

3. General comments about the chapter?

Starting from the beginning, I liked Aditya-Neelam's scene and then the Todd Mitchell's case, I hope it doesn't cause any sort of problem to Hina given the kind of dirty guy Todd is. Other than that, I feel worried about Rehan. This Zeenat is following him all the way to Philadelphia. I wonder what their story is.. Samira and Zaid's convo is intriguing as well. I liked the light banter between Deepali and Rehan.. how she's fretting about having Karan as her partner. 😆 Like I said in the 1st question, the arranged marriage convo was very well written from both POVs. And I'm already so excited about Aisha and Yusuf's meeting. 😆 And I just loooved the last scene where Hina kisses Zaid. He must be feeling so happy. Awww.. 😳

I hope I did make sense with my comments here. And sorry for replying after so many parts.

Ok I do deserve to be thrown chappals at but Im really very sorry....not that Im busy, I was just being too lazy to comment. And it has nothing to do with how interesting ur FF is, I'm like this in EVERY single FF I read...u can ask anyone about it in MJHT forum 😆

Anywayz cut that, Im done reading the last few parts I forgot about n finally commenting...n I'll try to make it a long, detailed n insightful one 😆

Starting with the questions:
Sweet n to-the-point convo!! and im loving how u choose such meaningful topics...something we NRI desis can easily relate too...in this case, every desi...
And u did an awesome job presenting both sides of the argument....n what each character thought about the topic was very true to their character as well!!! And not surprisingly, my views were exactly those of Rehaan n Neelam...as Im just like them 😆

My favourite couple...Well I started reading off this FF bcz it had SaJan (Aditya-Neelam) so I love them automatically 😆 and loving Sameera-Rehaan...again main reason being Im a big fan of Shahid-Amrita. So just imagining those couples their makes me love them =P But also loving the subtleness n sweetness in their stories...also their stories seem much more relatable n real than other couples.

Um I think a few weeks back u asked me about the pace of the story...well, back then I kinddddaaaaa thought it was a tid-bit slow...but after reading these last two chapters I must ur back on!! The love stories are picking up and also the group n other characters interactions are much more fun to read now. So u doing a great job there now!! 👍🏼
And also about the slight romance...GOSH IM LOVING IT!!! Im alllll in for this kinda romance and stories, slow n steady!! Main reason of me loving this FF!! 😃

And ya...even back, u asked about ur sig! lol....well I saw it n LOVED IT!!!!! I always love ur siggys but that one was really adorable as it had all the couples 😳

Ok...so finally coming to some general comments about the chapter. I think there's just way too many parts I haven't commented on...so I won't think about commenting on them...cz that wud take me all night then 😆 so just on this part...n that's all I can remember too atm...lol

So in the start the Aditya-Neelam scene. It was really sweet!! And loved how Aditya came between them and how Neelam held on to him 😳 I understand ur point of having difficulty writing about them...but I'm loving how ur treating their scenes so far, but just a tid bit of more....hmm can't think of a word, intense....effective...impactful ...scenes! TINY BIT!! lol I hope u get what I mean 😛 Can't wait for their scene in the next part!! I'm sure u'll do total justice to it! 😊

And overall this part was on a very light-hearted note! Loved all the interactions between all the characters!! Esp Zaid n Deepali one and o ya, I loved how through out the chapter Sameer found Deepali-Karan's fight funny 😆
And defo the highlight of the chapter, the last bit. Zaid getting all red n Sameer n Aditya teasing him. These three have suchhhhhh a cute relationship. Really love their scenes.

And yes, this Zeenat thing is pretty interesting. She seems to be some chipko character lol. Looking forward to how Rehaan deals with all this. Im sure he'll realize that he likes Sameera during all this. Can't wait for it!!!

So an AWESOME part!! And I'll TRY to reply regularly! lol Just keep it up, ur doing a great job! And don't make us wait too long 😛

hey, i just caught up with all the eight parts at a stretch....and was glued to my pc for almost two hours.....i must say...you've got amazing writing skills......i almost wish i cud write as flawlessly like u...i myself write ffz but there's something unique about the way u write..it's like as if im watching everything happen in front of me...and its like i'm reading a novel...Starting from the first part...i loove the way you have introduced every character, the contradictions in their personalities, and yet the way they have become such great friends. i love the way you have described their friendship..like literally, they are always there for each other..and the idea is also completely unique. And infact, calling this an ff is just so random, i don't know how to praise you enough...i am just toally speechless...i would surely love to take some tips from you..the way you describe emotions, surroundings and the dialogues so appropriately, i mean just fabulous! I was completely lost into the story, and the length never seemed to matter, infact i never even realised when the part ended...well, as for answering your questions for your latest part-

1. What did you think about the conversation about arranged marriages?
- well i love the way they all have put forth their views on arrange marriage, but according to me,i really do not believe in spending your entire life with a complete stranger. i mean sure your parents would always know what's best for you, but no one knows us better than ourselves!!! so i am completely against arrange marriages...well but if you aren't into any sort of love relationship, then arrange marriage wud seem like an appropriate option.
2. Who's your favorite couple so far (just out of curiousity)?
-well, i actually have two. Rehaan-samira, because there's something really different in them, and makes me adore them a lot. and also, karan-deepali, though they wouldn't be focused much upon, but me being a mayurian, just had to mention dem as well!

3. General comments about the chapter?
-this chapter was simply mind blowing, and i loved the entire deepali complaining about rehaan bit to all of the others. it was really sweet. and i also enjoyed reading their views on arrange marriage, and the hina-kissing zaid on his cheek was soo cute, especially because i just looooove ranbir, and i could actually imagine him blushing like that...which was really cute..im just loving aditya, zaid, and rehaan's characters...their simply so believable and realistic...mind blowing yaar....you honestly should consider becoming the creative head for some serial...or something...you're just toooo good..mind blowing..

p.s hope i didn't bore you with my long comment since i just couldn't stop myself from praising your ff and please do add me to your pm list..i surely would not wanna miss out on any update

I thought the discussion was very interesting, especially since it is something that is relevant to most people...I initially agreed with Hina and Adi, but then when Neelam pointed out that seeking advice from parents is not a bad thing to do when deciding about the future, I agreed with her, as well. That's how I intended it. There isn't supposed to be a right or wrong answer. It really depends on the individual.

Hmmm. My favorite couple...That's a tough one, since I like both Adi-Neelam and Rehaan-Samira a lot...I'd have to go with Adi-Neelam, though, precisely because of the subtle nature of their relationship. You did a nice job with the Adi-Neelam scene at the beginning, by the way! It was very subtle...I could imagine everything though, as clear as day!

Everyone seems to like Rehaan-Samira! 😆 Is it because I'm being biased towards them or something? Anyway, Adi-Neelam are tough to write about. I'm planning their scene in the next chapter (in which Adi helps Neelam practice her presentation)...and I keep getting stuck. I might have to read all their scenes again to get inspired...

Ahh, everyone is preoccupied with something or another...This Todd Mitchell case is bothering me now, too. Let's wait and see what happens. I really don't like him...Aw, and now Zeenat may be landing up at Penn...Drat, I can understand Rehaan's reaction. Deepali and Rehaan's little conversation about Karan was so fun to visualize - that sort of fun-filled, light banter is always a lot of fun to watch in shows; this was no different! Yeah, you know that I like these friendships a lot! 😉

Yup...and for most of them, their preoccupation has to do with a secret, hence the name of the chapter. Todd Mitchell is the one character in my story who is meant to be hated. I believe there are very few people in the world that are truly heartless, but they do exist, so I provided an example. But I'm not going to go the saas-bahu serial way in which there are many evil characters who always plot against the good ones. The rest of my characters are very real. No angels or devils. 😆 I'm really excited about bringing Zeenat to Penn. She's still a little mysterious...but by the time the first school year is over, you'll understand her pretty well. I loved writing the Deepali/Rehaan banter! Friendships are so much more fun than sappy love stories!

The scene at the end was cute! It was short and sweet...Zaid must be on cloud nine now! Once again, I just love the bonds that Zaid-Samira-Adi share...There's a sibling-type bond between Adi and his Munchkin that is just so lovely! And that reminds me...Zaid and Samira's conversation was very intriguing. More of that will come later, I know.

All in all, a perfect night for Zaid. 😳 He's such a sweet and genuine character that I really don't want to make anything ever go wrong for him. But unfortunately, that wouldn't be much of a story. 😆 Adi doesn't have any siblings of his own (and no parents either anymore), so he's kind of adopted Zaid's family, and they've done the same to him. Can't say anything about Zaid and Samira's convo yet. It was supposed to be confusing...but will become clearer soon. After reading the next chapter, I'm sure everyone will start taking guesses as to what's going on. We'll see if anyone gets it right. 😉

Chapter 7: A very interesting and well connected chapter as always; your writing style never fails to charm me. The Zaid Deepali conversation was bang on. And oh, Murder on the Orient Express is one of Christie's books I still haven't read and have been planning to for some time - thanks for the reminder. :D So like I was saying, the conversation was endearing for several reasons. Zaid smiling at Deeps' enthusiasm, her apprehensions abt Hina, the discussion abt the dance auditions.. it was a very enjoyable read. Also, her warm fuzzy feeling towards the end of the talk was very natural; Zaid does seem so smitten with Hina!

When I first started writing the chapter, I wasn't thinking about a Zaid-Deepali conversation at all...then suddenly the idea came to me and I just couldn't resist. The differences in their personalities make for some interesting interactions. Glad you enjoyed it too!

Ok, coming to another scene that I really enjoyed - the Samira Rehaan one. I like how his thoughts inadvertently go toward Zeenat when he's talking to Samira. The bit about Zeenat refusing to wear his red bracelet irrespective of whether she hurt his feelings or not and Samira valuing his opinion so much was really sweet and exceptionally well written.

Aw, thanks! Zeenat and Samira are about as different as two girls can get.

Last but not the least - Karan and Deepali..!! A big thank you for devoting a major part of this chapter to them. Just like their coordination and chemistry on the dance floor, everything about them is engrossing and captivating. Karan's sarcasm and a casual disregard for social niceties is very fascinating indeed.. LOL.. and Deepali is such a fire-brand. All this takes me back to the talent parade days in MJHT.. golden days they were! A very exciting ending too. Though I'm a little lucky to be getting to read the follow up right away. :D

No problem. 😃 I was thinking about the talent parade too! *sigh* Missing those beautiful moments. Btw, Karan will be in Chapter 9 too. 😉

Chapter 8: Aww.. so Adi gets to be the knight in shining armour.. so cute! Nice sweet scene that one. The group meeting came out really well and gave scope to every character. What's with this Zeenat girl? I could so identify with Rehaan's situation. The last part with the little moment between Zaid and Hina was wonderful. I felt really happy for him. LOL @ the match between his shirt and cheeks. All in all, an entertaining chapter. But there was something about chapter 7 that appealed more to me. Okay, call it the age-old Mayank-Nupur bias.. 😳 but even the other pairs I talked about were endearing... maybe I am just currently in the mood for heart-to-heart conversations and 7 provided two very cute ones.

Chapter 7 was better in general...I must agree. But I loved writing the Zaid and Hina scene in this one. You'll find out more about Zeenat when she comes to Penn. I'm sure you (and everyone else) will totally hate her...but honestly, I think she's someone who should be pitied rather than hated. You'll eventually understand what I mean.

Question time now. This is really good idea btw; it helps you get feedback on some specific part you may be interested in and also helps the reader feel more involved with the story.

Thanks! It's just really hard to know what you're doing well or not so well when all people do is write, "Great part, continue soon!" I'm hoping that the answers to these questions will help me understand what not to do next time...and give me ideas for future chapters.

Pssh! Who says Karan-Deepali are not an official couple? Karan's presence will just be a little limited in the story (i.e., there will be chapters without him), but their pairing is still important. After all, the quality of scenes is more important than quantity right. 😉 Couldn't agree more about RS. LOVE them! 😳

Zaid was too cute in the last scene !! I actually wish I liked Deepika even remotely...then the scene wud have seemed cuter to me !! Aww...you don't like Deepika? I don't like her as an actress, but I think she is gorgeous! Anyway, you don't have to imagine her if you don't want. Just choose some other actress. I wouldn't want you to be biased against Hina's character just because of the actress I chose. (Although, if you remember HKA, you might have other reasons to be biased against her)

Someone tell me what was that conversation between Samira and Zaid......What is happening ?? What is the argument?? I'm glad you're confused, because it was meant to be confusing. 😆 The next chapter will have some more about that...but it won't become completely clear for another few chapters. Maybe by chapter 11 or 12. I'm sure you're used to my mysteries lasting forever. 😉
