Like I said earlier your storyline is one that people can relate too. I don't know I feel its natural for Ridz to like Armaan, I mean it definitely happens when you have a group of friends. I won't say something exactly like this happened to me but something sort of similar has definitely happened with me. Anyways seems like Armaan and Anjali share a close bond..but more of a flirtier type of relationship...most likely because they share similar sorts of personality.
Okay one thing that I noticed about Armaan, it seems like to me he doesn't really want to hang out with anybody in the group except Adi and Anjali and occasionally Rahul and Atul. I feel like he thinks everybody except Adi and Anjali are sort of a drag on him..that he's only friends with them because he has to be. And that bugs me, honestly I hate when people are like that. Yeah Rahul Atul Riddhima and Muskaan maybe different from his personality and may not fit into types of people but I mean thats friendship. Look at Riddhima and Muskaan for example, they're soo different from each yet are attached to the hip. I guess like they say, he'll learn who his true friends are and the value of friendship in times of need. I know you'll do something and defnitely change around his opinion on his friends.
So getting back to Riddhima and Armaan. Attraction from only one side? Yeah it can be a little akward especially when you're not close with the person. But I mean Armaan should defintiely break this wall between him and Riddhima. They're like soo formal with each other you know? Like the hello..how are you...oh thanks etc etc type. I know that once he gets to know Riddhima a little better he'll soften up towards her. Can't wait to see their relationship develop further!
Now coming to Anjali...she bugs me to the fullest! She acts like such a snob. This girls needs an attitude check..jeez. Anyways...she needs to become a little nicer towards Riddhima and Muskaan..not every girl is lying or acting when they're being modest. Anyways ughh she just irritates me a little! But I'll know I'll probably grow to like her later on!
Rahul and Muskaan..hehe they're already dating how cute! But yeah he needs to learn to respect Muskaan a little more, but it'll happen with time. There are always bumpy roads in relationships!
Now Adi...I love this guy! He seems like such a genuinely sweet guy..has no air to him. And seems like he has a thing for Riddhima. Hmm I wouldn't mind them growing closer...and maybe making Armaan jealous? Okay I doubt that Armaan will get jealous, well atleast right now. But yeah poor Riddhima doesn't know how to react towards Armaan and Anjali..and I would just like to see a similar sort reaction from Armaan sometime in this fic. I don't know why..but I love it when he's jealous lol.

Riddhima frowned slightly as she put down the phone. After confirming that she was in on the whole beach plan, she and Adi had gone on to speak for about 10 minutes more...about random things. She didn't know why but it made her feel sort of wierd...agreed that they had spoken today and that it hadn't been awkward between them, however, never before had he actually called her...and somewhere deep down she felt that the beach plan had just been an excuse for it...couldn't he have just text messaged her? that's what Atul and Armaan usually did whenever they made any plans..as for Rahul, he would call up Muskaan and ask her to inform Riddhima as well...she knew it was no big deal...he had just called her...so what? it was not like he'd come to her place or something...it was just a phone call...however, she just couldn't brush aside this sudden new interest that Adi had in her...it wasn't something that she'd just noticed today..he had been behaving pretty wierd for the last month or so...could it possible be that-?

What's wrong with you Ridz? she mentally admonished herself..he just CALLED you and you're making such a big deal out of it...you'll are friends and his behaviour is totally natural...yes, that sounded about right...she was just reading too much into it...he just considered as a friend...nothing more, nothing less....

Riddhima!! kya hua yaar? kabse bula rahi hoon lekin madam tho apne his khayalon mein khoyi hui hai!!'

'Oh sorry Muskaan, I was just thinking about somthing,' Riddhima apologised.

'Kya hua Ridz?' Muskaan asked, looking concerned, 'Is everything OK?? you seem a little lost,'

'Nothing Muskaan....I'm fine,' Riddhima reassured her...ofcourse everything was fine!! she was just over analysing everything!

Muskaan looked unconvinced and tried changing her strategy, 'kiska phone tha?' she demanded...Ridz had seemed a little lost and confused after speaking to whoever it had been on the phone.

'Oh...uhm...Adi,' Riddhima answered, trying to sound all calm and composed.

'Since when did he start calling you?' Muskaan asked, looking slightly surprised at the fact...Adi and Riddhima weren't close at all...they were the hi-bye friend types...they just happened to be in the same friend cirle and that's why Muskaan found it slightly strange that he'd called her...was she missing something here?...

'He just called to tell me that everyones planning to mee up at the beach tomorrow and that would I want to come along,' Riddhima explained.

'He could have told me that too. He didn't say a word about any of it to me. He just asked me to give the phone to you,' Muskaan smirked.

'Whatever...don't start with one of your stupid theories again...he just called casually. That's all.' Riddhima said firmly...she knew Muskaan well enough by now...she knew where she was going with all this...

'Hey, I'm just being honest...lo is par bhi tumhe problem hai...sach sach bataa...this is why you were looking all confused right? because Adi specially called to invite you.' Muskaan asked shrewdly...

'No,' Riddhima said abruptly.

'No?' Muskaan asked again.

Riddhima sighed...it was useless arguing with Muskaan...she knew Riddhima too well to be fooled...she might as well just tell her the truth.

'Ok..maybe I was a little surprised,' Riddhima admitted softly.

'Did he say anything else apart from inviting you?' Muskaan asked seriously.

Riddhima thought back to their conversation...no, he had not hinted anything in anyways...they had had a very casual conversation..

'No..we just casually spoke,' Riddhima cleared the air. 'Maybe he's interested in you,' Muskaan suggested. 'Muskaan!! No!! see, that's why I didn't want to tell you...I knew you would say something like this!!' Riddhima protested. 'Ok Ok...fine!! chill maar yaar...main tho bus aise hi keh rahi thi,' Muskaan said placatingly, 'but... he's not bad' 'He's OK,' Riddhima said in a non-commiting manner. 'You mean he's not Armaan,' Muskaan rolled her eyes. 'Muskaan-' 'Ok Ok...fine...I won't say anything more regarding Armaan. But Ridzy, you are my best friend and I don't want to see you get hurt and so I'm going to be completely honest with you.' Muskaan said, getting serious, 'forget Armaan. He's not the one for you. From what Rahul was saying the other day, I think there are chances of him and Anjali hooking up soon or waise bhi haven't you see the way they are together?? too close for comfort...and Ridzy..to be honest...mujhe nahi lagta wo tujhme interested hai..tho phir tu kyun apna time waste kar rahi hai uspar??'

'Muskaan...I know all of this and relax, I can take care of myself..I just have a slight crush on him..it'll pass in somtime...it's not big deal,'

Muskaan nodded...Riddhima was right...she wasn't one of the emotional types to break down for a guy...she was practical headed and if she was saying that what she had for Armaan was just a small crush, then it must be true...after all, she never lied to Muskaan.

'OK fine...if you say. Par Ridz, I just want to say that don't overlook what is right in front of you for someone who is not worth it anyways,' Muskaan said quietly and then giving her a huge bear hug, she left the room.

Riddhima looked at Muskaan leaving...the meaning of what she had said wasn't lost on her...what Muskaan was saying was that she shouldn't keep her distance from Adi just because of Armaan because Armaan was anyways not interested on her...but it was too soon to speak now..maybe they both were just assuming things and Adi wasn't interested in her...maybe he just considered her a friend...well, it was better if it were that way...it made things simpler...and regarding Armaan? well, the fact that he and Anjali would probably hook up together did hurt a bit but she knew deep down that it was something she could deal with..after all, it wasn't like she was in love with Armaan...what she felt for him was just infatuation...maybe this whole Anjali issue was actually a good thing...it would probably help her forget Armaan...when you know a guy is taken, you just tend to distance yourself from them...anyways, she was just analysing EVERYTHING a bit too much..she needed to get to bed...she could sense that tomorrow was going to be a looooong day...

'Nice weather...' Anjali commented as she lazily stretched. Armaan glanced at her and felt his breath get stuck in his throat...she was hot!! it wasn't like he had never noticed this fact...infact it was one of the first things he'd noticed about her...however, with her two-piece suit hugging her curves perfectly, he was just reminded once again that Anjali Sharma was one hot chick!!

Anjali noticed him staring, 'stop staring!!' she said, smiling slightly. Armaan snapped out it and grinned, 'can't help it babe...did I mention you look good today?'

'I'm hardly wearing anything,' Anjali protested...she could totally recognize the vibes Armaan Mallik was giving her and what was more, it was more than welcome for her...

'That's why you look good,' Armaan laughed.

Anjali rolled her eyes but soon joined in the laughter...she liked Armaan...she really did..he was a lot of fun to hang around with and it wasn't like she hadn't noticed the looks he gave her..he was definitely attracted to her..and she?? well, she was kind of attracted to him too..he was good-looking and he was definitely one of he closest friends...she was extremely comfortable around him and she could just always be herself with him..what more could she want?? however, she was slightly apprehensive about them being a 'couple'...it was pretty cool between them now because they were just friends but what if things soured between them if they started dating each?? things like that happened pretty often...it was not something new...she knew so many people who had been great as friends but the moment they started dating, things changed for the worst..she definitely didn't want that with Armaan...she loved him as a friend and she didn't want to ruin that just because of a silly notion that maybe they could be a couple...there were just too many promises and expectations involved...

'Hey, did Riddhima come yet?' Adi asked, dripping wet due to the fact that he'd just come out of the water.

'No,' Anjali said carefully, raising an eye-brow, 'what's with the sudden interest in her anyways?'

'It's not sudden...' Armaan grinned, 'Adi's kinda had a thing for her for quite a while now,'

'I don't have a thing for her,' Adi said quickly, 'she's just a friend,'

'Oh really?' Anjali asked in a sugar coated voice dripping with sarcasm, 'well, guess what? I don't believe you...but anyways, I thought Riddhima liked Armaan,'

Armaan groaned, 'did you have to bring that up?'

'OK...I'll talk to you about it later...she's coming here right now so I'm letting this topic drop for the moment,' Anjali whispered.

Both Adi and Armaan turned around to look at her.

'Hey,' they both said in unison while Riddhima simply smiled in return.

Adi smiled as her...she was looking really cute, he thought. She was dressed in a white halter with capris...it was comparitively simpe and less revealing than Anjali but that was beside the point...there was no competition going on here about who was the hottest...Anjali and Riddhima were both completely different individuals and they were both pretty in thier own different ways...

'Where's Atul?' Riddhima asked as she tried to spot him.

'Well, he had some other plans,' Armaan explained.

Riddhima felt a sinking in the pit of her stomach...Atul was not there?? she had agreed to come for the whole beach thing because she thought that atleast Atul would be there to give her company and Rahul and Muskaan had gone somewhere out together...now what was she going to do?? she wasn't close to any of the 3 present there and she had a distinct feeling that it the whole beach plan was probably not going to be all that fun after all.

'What happened?' Anjali asked as she watched the change in expression on Riddhima's face on hearing that Atul hadn't come.

'Nothing,' Riddhima said quietly...what else could she say??

'I want to go in the water...anyone else up for it?' Anjali discarded the whole issue and looking wistfully at the inviting cool water.

'I'll join you...I anyways need to get back in there...I'm freezing out here,' Adi agreed, 'what about you Riddhima? are you coming? Armaan?'

'You guys carry on. I'll just sit here for a while,' Riddhima said, sitting down on the mat they had set up with all thier bags, clothes and foodstuff.

Anjali rolled her eyes despite herself..even though she had no personal issues against Riddhima, she couldn't help it...that was just so typically Riddhima!! The fun quotient was just missing in her..

'Yeah, same here,' Armaan said which immediately grasped both Anjali and Adi's attention...Armaan usually looked for opportunities to keep his distance from Riddhima..it was not that he had any issues with her..he spoke to her once in a while and he was normal with her..however, he preferred to mantain some sort of distance from her in order for her to not get any ideas...and hence, it was rather shocking that Armaan was actually volunteering to sit back with Riddhima alone when he had an option otherwise...

'Suit yourself,' Anjali said casually and she and Adi headed towards the waters.

Armaan glanced at Riddhima...time for some damage control!!
