Part 11 Maya goes home after a long day at work and sees a note from Arushi on her door. "I had to go visit my relatives for the week so I'll call you soon, but don't miss me too much!" Maya rolls her eyes. "Did she come to meet me or always just see her relatives?" Maya sets her laptop bag down on the coffee table and takes out her laptop and boots it up, and her cell phone starts ringing. "Hello?"
"Hey!" Rinki greets her on the other end.
"Hi Rinki. How are you?" Maya answers.
"Not too bad and you?" Rinki asks.
"I've been better." Maya admits. "How's your brother?"
"Still sulking around. I've never seen him like this," Rinki says in a sadder tone.
"I can't believe it actually happened. I knew him and Sanju had problems but I didn't think it'd get so far," Maya sighs.
"It's okay. He has all of us to get him through it. In which case, I had a plan." Rinki says in a happier tone.
"Oh do tell!" Maya grins happily.
Rinki quickly tells her the plans for the next day while Maya laughs and finally agrees. "So we'll meet you tomorrow at Inorbit Mall?"
"Definitely, which boutique?" Maya asks.
"I don't remember the name," Rinki laughs. "But it's on the third floor, or I'll just send bhai to pick you up?"
Maya laughs. "Works for me,"
"Okay I'll see you tomorrow!" Rinki hangs up and Maya finally starts clicking away on her laptop.

Rushvi: HEY!!!!! 😃 Do I have stuff to tell you or what?
Maya: 😛 Tell away! 😛
Rushvi describes everything that happened with Robert in full detail.
Maya: 😲 He actually remembered your voice! 😃 That is really great for you!
Rushvi: *nods* I just wish Reena and Serena weren't right. I mean it IS my life and I have a right to do whatever I want. Right?
Maya: Rushvi you know I'm always on your side, so all I'm going to say is be cautious, I know how much you love him. And honestly if I met srk and he wasn't married AND our age, I wouldn't care what the world would think....so I'm just telling you to be careful.
Rushvi: 😊 Got it. So you tell me, you sound kinda low. Something wrong? I thought Arushi was supposed to be there with you right?
Maya: *sighs* Arushi's with her family right now. She'll come back in a week, so I'm thinking we'll hopefully get to spend more time together then! 😛 As for me being low...I don't know. It's nothing to do with me really...Harshad broke up with his girlfriend, and he's been really low, so I guess it rubbed off on me? Since I spend so much time around him?
Rushvi: *nods* that happens. Planned any intervention yet?
Maya: 😛 His sister did, we're planning to do some tomorrow. Anyways it's late I should sleep.
Rushvi: And I should stop glancing at my cell phone and try to pay attention in class.😛
Maya: yeah, that'd be a good idea! Text me later!
Rushvi: Of course! Bye!
Maya quickly hits the power off button on her laptop and leaves it there on the coffee table while she goes into her bathroom to start brushing her teeth, and that's when her cell phone rings again, and so she rushes out, her mouth full of foam to answer it. "Haylo?"
"Maya? Is that you?" She hears Harshad's voice on the other end ask.
"uhhem." Maya quickly goes to her bathroom and spits out the foam and rinses out her mouth. "Sorry. I was in the process of brushing my teeth when you called. What's up?" Harshad laughs, a sound Maya hadn't heard for a long time. "He sounds so happy," Maya smiles as he continues talking.
"So 11 is good for you?"
"Yup, I'll see you then," Maya answers. "Thanks again for picking me up."
"No problem. I'm just glad a girl's coming. Otherwise, sitting through Rinkz' trials....pure torture!" Harshad groans.
"You're a mean brother!" Maya giggles. "Anyways bye."
"Bye," Harshad hangs up.
The Next Morning
Maya and Harshad arrive at the mall and as they weave their way through the crowd, Harshad ends up walking faster, leaving Maya behind and right as he's about to step onto the escalator, he catches sight of her wandering off in another direction so he goes to her and takes her head. "Where are you going? The boutique is upstairs,"
"I was following you," Maya pouts. "It's not my fault if you walk like you're speed walking or something." She takes her hand out of his and walks onto the escalator ahead of him, while he just shakes his head at her.
"Finally! Took you guys long enough," Rinki says as she sees them approaching the boutique.
"Hey man," Sushant hugs Harshad and smiles at Maya who smiles back.
"Come with me! We need to find you something pretty too!" Rinki grins.
"Me?" Maya asks confused. "I'm only here to give you advice, remember?"
"No...That's what I said to get you to agree to come. We're going to pick something pretty out for you too," Rinki grins as she takes Maya near the back wall. "What do you think about this one?" She holds up a saree in a pink color.
"Let me see you in your gorgeous outfit first, and then we'll worry about mine okay?" Maya laughs.
Rinki grins. "Sure, I'll go put it on and be back in two minutes,"
Maya nods. "Call me if you need help,"
Sushant walks off to make a phone call right as Maya sits down next to Harshad who leans over, "That pink saree wasn't that nice,"
Maya turns to him. "What?"
"The saree that Rinki just picked up and showed you; I don't think it'd look that good on you," Harshad tells her.
"Gee thanks Harshad." Maya gives him a confused look. "I'm glad that you told me I won't look good in a saree," She shakes her head and picks up a magazine.
"Hey!" Harshad takes the magazine out of her hands. "I didn't mean it that way."
"Then which way did you mean it?" Sushant laughs as he walks in, as Rinki comes out from the fitting room.
Harshad stands up, when Maya grabs his hand. "Sit."
"But we're supposed to go see her outfit," Harshad says confused.
"Why are guys so clueless?" Maya mutters under her breath. "Sit, and give them some time ALONE."
"Oh," Harshad sighs as he sits back down.
"And now explain to me what you did mean," Maya says facing him.
"Oh—well I meant that the color wouldn't look that great on you." Harshad says quickly. "It seemed too bland."
Maya nods.
"What? I'm serious." Harshad says frowning.
"No, I believe you, it's just the first time I've seen A GUY point out those things," Maya grins and takes back her magazine.
Rinki emerges from the fitting room dressed in a red ghagra suit, leaving Sushant stunned as he went to see the outfit.

"Aye haye....You shouldn't look so gorgeous," He whispers in her ear as she checks herself from each angle in the 3 way mirror.
"Thank-you," Rinki replies, as she fiddles around with the dupatta. "I just don't know though. Do you think it works?"
Sushant shakes his head. "There's one thing missing,"
Rinki turns around and faces him. "What is it?"
He takes the dupatta out of her hands and places it on her head lightly. "Now you look like you're ready to be married."
Rinki grins. "Wah wah. What's with the super romantic attitude today?"
Sushant shrugs. "Felt like it."
"Uhem," Harshad comes up from behind. "Can I see my little sister now?"
Sushant moves away laughing as Harshad goes and puts his hands on her shoulder, looking at her through the mirror, "God, when'd you get so big?"
"Umm you should take a look in the mirror too bhai," Rinki laughs. "You're older than me."
"Shush!" Harshad laughs.
Rinki turns to Maya. "Now go try on that saree,"
Harshad looks at Maya waiting for her answer.
"Rinkz, I'm going to look for another one okay?" Maya asks.
Rinki nods as Maya walks away to check the other sarees, but she doesn't notice when Harshad follows her and silently hands her a royal blue colored saree with a emerald green border and little mirrors all over the saree.
Maya goes into a fitting room and comes out draped in the saree and goes next to Rinkz. "What'd you think?"
"I like the colors on you!" Rinki smiles as Harshad smiles a smug smile behind her.
Maya slowly glares at him and is about to go back to change out of the saree, when he finally says something.
"You look really nice,"
Maya turns around and grins at him. "Thank you,"
As she goes back into the fitting room, Rinki notices Harshad still staring after her. "What's up?" she nudges him.
"What?" He looks back at her.
"You seemed to really like that saree—you don't usually notice colors on people," Rinki points out.
Harshad sighs. "Sushant, how do you deal with her?"
Sushant laughs. "You've lived with her for like 22 years, I figured you'd give me the advice!"
Harshad rolls his eyes. "There is nothing going on. I just didn't like the pink saree that you picked out."
Rinki makes a face. "No wonder Maya said no after, because she seemed to like it when I picked it out for her. There's something going on here, I better figure it out."
"What's wrong?" Sushant asks her.
"Oh nothing, I should go change." Rinki smiles at him while she disappears into her fitting room.
A little while later they leave the boutique with their bags full of clothes.
"So what's next?" Sushant asks as they walk out of the mall.
"Maya and I had a genius thought last night." Rinki grins at Maya who smiles back.
"We were thinking we could go play two-on-two soccer in the park near the studio." Maya adds.
"Really?" Harshad glances at Sushant.
"Two-on-two how?" Sushant clarifies
"Obviously boys vs. girls jaan," Rinki goes and ruffles his hair, as they walk along the sidewalk.
"Really?" Harshad grins. "You two wanna play against us?"
Maya nods "Any problem?"
Harshad shakes his head. "Might be difficult in those clothes though," he gestures to Rinki and Maya, who are both dressed in skirts.
Rinki makes a face at him. "We brought a change of clothes."
"Then let's go," Sushant takes her hand and they walk ahead.
A little while later
The girls both stand at the opposite goal from the boys, dressed in their shorts and tanks.
"Can we do this?" Maya quickly whispers to Rinki.
"Have some faith Mayu!" Rinki grins. "Never mind, I don't like that nickname."
Maya laughs. "Yeah—doesn't work. Okay. We can do this!"
They both walk towards the boys, who set the ball down in the middle, and Rinki takes off with it, zooming towards the boys goal post, when all of a sudden Sushant comes and blocks her shot, kicking the ball in Harshad's direction when Maya intercepts it, and starts kicking it back to Rinki who finally scores a goal moving around Sushant.
"YES!" Rinki screams as Maya goes and hugs her.
"We let a girl score a goal on us," Harshad groans.
"It's your sister man," Sushant rolls his eyes. "We'll get the next one,"
"We better,"
They both grab the ball and set it down in the center, and Sushant starts running with the ball in Rinki's direction, who does everything she can to block his shot when finally she winks at him and he just freezes, so she takes advantage and runs with the ball in the opposite direction. She sees Maya standing there without Harshad trying to block her, so she kicks the ball to her and then runs in that direction. "If I tamper a little bit with the situation, it wouldn't be a bad thing, besides then I'll just score as well, to make sure we don't lose," Rinki sees Harshad running right in Maya's direction but she goes a little faster and trips him and so he goes forward his arms wrapping around Maya as she runs into him, letting the ball roll forward. Rinki takes the ball and kicks it straight into the goal and then turns around to see the effects of her "tampering."
Harshad falls to the ground with Maya still securely in his arms; they land with her on the grass facing up with both her eyes closed, and Harshad just gazing at her face. Slowly Maya opens her eyes and sees him staring down at her so intently.
"I—uh tripped." Harshad says in a low voice. "Sorry,"
"It's okay," Maya lets out breathlessly.
Rinki notices how neither of them have made the effort to get up and smiles to herself as Sushant jogs over to her.
"I saw that," He says to her.
"Saw what?" Rinki looks up at him and bats her eyelashes.
He slips his arm around her waist. "Nice try, but I saw you trip him."
"Ssh!" Rinki grins. "Watch this!" She moves away from Sushant and jumps up. "I scored again!"
Harshad and Maya both glance sideways and see Rinki jump in the air, and so Harshad pushes himself off of Maya and they both sit up on the grass.
"Awesome!" Maya is about to stand up to hug Rinki when her ankle gives out. "Crap, I sprained it." Harshad helps her up, and then she jumps over to Rinki and hugs her. "Great job!"
"What were you doing?" Harshad makes a face at Sushant. "Weren't you playing goalie?"
Sushant smiles. "That was your job, but you were obviously a bit busy,"
"Shut up," Harshad frowns.
"I don't think we can play anymore guys," Rinki says as she supports Maya as they walk in the direction of the cars.
"Makes sense," Sushant says, going to Maya's other side, so that both he and Rinki were helping her to the car.
"Do you want to go to the doctors?" Harshad asks.
Maya shakes her head. "It'll be fine when I get home. Sorry for ruining the game."
Rinki leans over and whispers. "You didn't ruin the game. We won two–zero!" Maya laughs with her.
Finally they help Maya up to her apartment and she sits down on the couch. "Need anything?" Rinki asks her.
Maya shakes her head. "Thanks you guys for helping!"
"Not a problem," Sushant grins as he walks out of her apartment.
"Are you sure you don't need anything?" Harshad asks before going to the door.
"A bottle of water would be good," Maya winces.
"Got it," Harshad smiles and goes to her fridge and gets a bottle of water. "There you go,"
"Thanks," Maya smiles up at him.
"I'll see you tomorrow—or?"
Maya shakes her head. "Probably not. Can you tell Nivi ma'am?"
Harshad nods. "Sure, take care!"
Maya nods. "Bye!"
Yes it was mainly Maya in India, but it was basically just a filler part, full of fluff! And the story will start progressing again asap! 😛 Hope you all liked it! 😃
