He let her go. The sadness on her eyes was clearly visible showing the pain, she cared for him. There was something else that her eyes demanded but what? Kartik observed him deep in thought knew something was not right between them. They both took their seats at the corner of the restaurant. Angad watched her leave from the place.
He hadn't got anything to do since exams were finished but was free all day. Before he could get caught with his mom and Louise he left the house at early morning informing Kartik. It was very weird and strange at how quickly they have bonded in matter of minutes. Funny all there life they have been jealous with each other because of their own reasons! And yesterday they have cleared all those misunderstanding.
She didn't feel like sleeping anymore, it was only five and the sun was beginning to rise. She took a quick shower and changed into comfortable track suit with yellow tank top. And left for jogging.
He sat at the bench near the lake in the park watched the family ducks swim away in the row, with there mother leading their kids. He smiled; this is what they call happy family. The park was nearly empty with few joggers. He has never been much of a morning person because of his later night hang outs and parties but never knew it would look that calm in the morning. The morning air was clean and refreshing. If he'd go home there would be Naina more like commanding him to take Louise with him where ever he go or go for recordings. She has decided after finishing his exams he would prepare his own album launched by their own company this time. The success of this album would mean their company will get recognizing positive status in the market and get better yet profitable contracts and projects from others. He questioned himself Does he really want to be a singer? All his life he has been trained for being a singer.
Just as he was about to leave he saw familiar person jogging ahead. Kripa? He thought but she never was much of a morning person too. It was her, he ran behind her. "Kripa?!" He panted as he joined her. It was her.
She was surprised to see him there. Yesterday incident did come to her but she was not sorry. She took out her ear phones and left it for hanging around her neck and continued jogging. "What are you doing here, Angad? Wasn't yesterday enough for you?"
He ignored her last comment, "At least listen to me!"
She ignored him continued jogging as if no one is beside her. "I am sorry, I know you are upset. I tried contacting you since you have left and no one picked up. What am I supposed to do?"
They jogged for a while in silence. Kripa changed her route and was now heading back to her apartment. Angad was still with hoping they would talk once they got back. She didn't have any expression on her face, any annoyance, irritation but plain dead look. As she unlocked her door and opened the door, Angad was about to get in when she banged the door on his face. He sighed.
Three hours passed, Kripa got ready in comfortable pair of jeans and white top. She looked at mirror and looked plain. She was still beautiful without any light touches of make up. She grabbed her bag and left. It was no 8.00 am; Kripa got outside and noticed Angad sitting outside her door with i-pod on. He smiled at her slyly. Has he really been waiting for her? Some part of her wanted to go and talk to him but on the other hand anger came on her.
She glared at him and while he smiled back at her. She walked to her car and put the keys in. She got in the passenger seat while Angad opened the door next to her. As kripa headed towards the college, Angad was surprised, "why are we going to college?"
The drive to the college was silent, Kripa glared at him as he asked the question. She looked at her car for something and then took a tissue. With a pen she wrote something is and threw at Angad. Angad had seen this and took the tissue paper and read the message, "Shut up! It's none of your business!" He smiled and put fingers on his lips.
She walked up to the principal office with Angad trailing behind her. As she was about to open the door, she glared at him and her pointed to the waiting room. He nodded.
Kartik was surprised to see Kripa in there at this time as college was closed to students now. He motioned the seat to her and quickly read her records from the computer. "May I ask you the reason for missing all your exams? You do realize that by missing them it seriously affect your career?"
Kripa nodded and put up a straight expression, "Sir, that's the main reason for my visit to here. I had my personal reasons for the absence of my exams, it was urgent."
"May I know why should I give you chance to re sit your exam? When you haven't revealed the main reason?"
"It's personal sir. But I am surprised you haven't noticed any of your student absences or reports? Does this prove how prestigious this college is? When it doesn't know anything about its college?"
Kartik looked at her with surprise but then again angry, the way she threw the insult at him. "If you are talking non-sense I don't have anytime for this?"
This was enough for her. "Non-sense? One of the most popular student died and you are calling non-sense? The reason for my absences is to take his dead body back to New York which means I can sit the exam, sir"
Kartik looked shocked and realized this was the cause of her upset behaviour, "Did you mean Neal?"
"Oh you know the name of students, glad to hear that!" she responded with sarcasm.
"I am sorry for the loss but in amylase I haven't been informed about this. I am sorry for it again and yes your exams leave that to me. I'll arrange something for you and send the notice at your home address"
Kripa nodded and stood up to leave. She noticed Angad was still there, little did she know that he had heard the full conversation and was sorry for not informing anyone in the college. They walked to car in silence and then back to their apartment. This time as Kripa was about to bang the door on him, he caught it and let him inside. Kripa looked at him with question on his eyes?
"How long will this go on? What have I done? And speak to me properly!"
"What have you done? No, you haven't done nothing, just get lost!"
"Quit it Kripa, He was my friend too, we were like best friends, didn't you think it would affect me?
She gives out sarcastic laugh, "Then why don't go around sleeping with that b**!
He looked at her shocked, "What do you mean? I didn't sleep with her"
"So what the hell was she doing with you at that time? Playing football?"
"She's staying with us and it's a long story! I am sorry I wasn't there for you. She didn't even tell me about the call; it was only when Amber told me. I even went to the airport after but I was only 10 minutes late it and saw your plane leaving."
Kripa looked at him shocked and felt sorry. He studied her expression, they were tired. "How did this happen?"
"He was fine on the morning when I met and during night I got a call from Amber that he had a accident. When I got I the hospital I was informed he's no more. I am sorry Angad" she said.
"Hey" he said, lifting her chin, "Why are you sorry, it's not your fault"
"It is, He's dead all because o f me!"
Angad looked at her shocked, "It was an accident! Accident that's it! It's not your fault."
She looked away, "It is and always will be, I kept believing that he'd be alright in no time and I didn't even take him to any treatments or specialisation. If only I accepted that he was ill .."
Something hard hit her; she touched her cheek then look at him, this time with tears streaming down. "Don't be stupid kripa, it was an accident only and none of it was your friend. Didn't you hear what Neal said he didn't want any treatments and you couldn't do anything?"
"I could have forced him!"
"No, it's not, it doesn't work that way, it's not your fault!"
He hugged her. She stood there weeping against his chest. "I don't deserve this" she said pulling away from him. "Go away from here Angad."
"Kripa, what the hell has gotten into you?" he said with anger rising in each and every word. "Don't you see Neal would never want to see you like this and you're exactly doing it?" He said with softness.
"Leave me" she said, "what's been happening to you, still having her around Louise"
Angad laughed, "You don't want to know, it's a lot complicated!"
Kripa nodded, "I think I can manage it, Tea of coffee or you need a proper breakfast"
Angad smiled, "Coffee would be alright then we can go for take away around 12.oo"
"Angad, I need to revise for exams and I have got my law exams starting after two days!"
"Alright, I can help with you it"
She sighed and said fine. Angad narrated whole story to her making her shocked and angry as they had their coffee in her apartment. "That's it! You are not going to marry that tart!"
"I have no choice left! She'd take over all over the company!"
"Leave that to me. For now you'll pretend nothing has happened and seriously not marrying her! I can't believe your Mom did this!"
"Kripa we can't do anything even Kartik said if it means doing anything we need to borrow a loan which means big risk to us!"
Kripa thought for a minute and then frowned, "I am sure we'll sort something out!"

The next two days passed very quickly with Angad staying with Kripa and helping her revising. Kripa take quiz of her revision notes from Angad. It helped her lot from her revision. Angad knew she still felt herself responsible for Neal's death evident being of seeing tiredness, sadness in her eyes. She wouldn't smile that'd reach her eyes, it'd be fake one.
"I am so dead!" yelled kripa from her room in frustration. "Angad! Get your ass down here right now!
He grimaced and groaned as he made his way to her room. He was half sleep and half wake. As he opened her room, he found her pacing in the room reading something from her revision cards. She stopped as she saw Angad, "I am so dead all because of you! First you changed the alarm clock to 8.00 and put sleeping pills on my drink last night! I am going to fail all because of you!"
Angad was now wake, "Geez ,Relax" he said walking towards her holding her from her shoulders, "You are going to be fine and you won't fail!"
"Is that all you have to say! I am the one who's giving this freaking exam not you!"
"You look so tired as you have been having sleepless nights and for the exams you need to have a proper sleep and as for exam It's not until eleven! You have three hours!"
"Two and half hours! Half an hour of drive!"
"Well of Course you can revise in car!"
"aright LEAVE AND DON'T DISTURB ME UNTIL I COME OUT AND NO FREAKING BREAK FAST!"
He sighed and left the room and fell on the sofa. It's now 10:30 kripa is now running out of her room and then to straight to kitchen making herself quick coffee and grabbing a quick small toast and then back to living room. "ANGAD!" she yelled on top of he lungs making him fall on the sofa. "I am getting late!!!"
Angad opened one eye that read the time as 10:40, he didn't need any more saying. He quickly grabbed his key running out of the door, with his half eye closed ad half eye open. He didn't need any more of shootings that'd make him deaf one day!
Kripa followed Angad to the car and seated herself, pulling out a book from her bag and doing last minute revision while Angad drove to exam centre.
Angad driving fast and careful as he can to avoid any accidents. His eyes kept closing every few seconds and then opening. It was an amusing sight.

See I old you not to expect too much from this part but gradually things will improve between those two maybe in next part. AND After that I'll have few months leap and then after that I will post a part that will end the season one of Barsaat.
Yes I have decided, since this is long story I will have season one end soon and then I'll start season two with new turns but trust the one you have been looking forward to is coming soon. The reason because I will end Season one soon before my exams. And then my holiday's starts I start season two! How does that sounds and I am sure lot of us here have exams starting soon.
