That night he drove away. Away from the city, away from where people have known him. Her words were ringing in ears; it wasn't in his hands to change the facts. She basically owns more of the shares and even if he refused to marry her, she'd take over their company. The company which his own brother and dad has built with their own money, hands and in one second all could drown away all because of that woman. What has he done to get this type of mother? Who cares nothing about him but his status and all?

At five in the morning, he returned home wet to be greeted by his own family. He looked towards his mother, Naina with pure hatred in his eyes, all because of her, they are suffering.

"Angad, where were you all night? Did you know how worried we were?"

At this, he let out laugh, "you were worried? That too about me. Are you sure it wasn't something else?"

Dilip and Kartik were standing there. They both have noticed how his behavior has changed towards Naina in the coming years and Naina's continuous ranting about the affect kripa has on him.

"What are you talking about?" she asked pulling his arm as he was about to go upstairs.

"Oh, don't you sweet-talk with me anymore? You have already destroyed my life. What more do you want to do, kill me?" he yelled at her. Dilip stepped in between them, "Is this the way you talk to your mom Angad?"

"Dad, you don't know what she has done? This woman is not my mother!"

"ANGAD!" Kartik yelled at him. "What happened? Are you drunk?"

"There you go! I am drunk am I? Why would I bother to say something as you all here rule my life?" At the moment he needed motherly gesture, Dadi, badly. He remembered her and felt his eyes wet.

"I knew it. She has done it again; magic on you that kripa girl!"

He had it enough and felt like doing it again, slapping her. "Don't you dare say her name? She isn't worth it from calling her name from your mouth!"

Kartik tried to take Angad upstairs but took shook it away. "No, I had enough! Don't you see what she has done?"

"Angad, I won't tolerate anything you say against your mom!" Dilip said in stern voice.

"Dad, we lost" pointing a finger at Naina, "ALL BECAUSE OF HER! She sold our company!"

It took time for both Dilip and Kartik to come back again in senses, "What are you saying Angad?" Kartik asked again as if he's not sure that he heard it right.

"Mom sold our company to her, Louise!"

"Naina? Is this right?"

Naina stood firm in her position as if she has done nothing wrong, "I have not sold our company!"

"THEN AM I LYING!"

"Angad, I have not sold our company but merged it with them. It's for the best, for everyone"

"Come again Naina?"

"Dilip, it's my company too and you have agreed to it then why steeping back?"

"I did not bloody agree that and why the hell have you done it?"

"Let me explain dad," Angad said feeling lightened to see someone on his side yet at the same time he felt sorry for his dad and brother, "Louise just told me, we own 49% of shares and she does 51%. And Mom has made my life more better", he added sarcastically, "If I don't marry her she'd takeover our company along with her family"

"It's right for you Angad; you'll thank me for later"

He snorted, "That'd be hell. Why? I never agreed for this in first place, why me? I should not be the first one to get married, it's Kartik!"

"He can find the girl he wants, it's who she wants. Don't you see Angad by agreeing to marry her you will be in safe, everyone would be safe"

"What about Kartik? He does all the work; shouldn't he be getting the present?"

"You are going to be the superstar not him."

"That's right you're worried about money and nothing else"

"ANGAD, don't you speak to me like that. You want to be safe then marry her!"

"He's not doing anything Naina, it's his life" Dilip said who was pale from shock, "Why did you do it? Damn it why?" In one more step he wiped a slap on her face; both Angad and Kartik didn't expect this. Although of part of him felt glad about it and other felt sorry. "All my life, I felt you would have got better but no, you did what you felt right? I feel disgusted on you, what kind of a woman are you? What do you want? We have got all the money and still you did that? LET ME REMIND YOU NAINA, YOU ARE NOT AN OWNER OF THE COMPANY, THIS DEAL CAN'T PROCEED ANYMORE!"

"It's too late Dilip, You already signed the papers"

"What papers? I didn't sign any papers about this deal?"

"That's the problem Dilip; you don't read them while you sign it."

"You black mailed me!"

"It's not blackmailing, you would not have agreed for it if I talked to you about it."

"SHUT UP! FROM NOW ON I DISOWN YOU FROM MY COMPANY!"

All stood there shocked, "You can't do this to me after all the work I have committed to it!"

"Damn, your work, what about me? I don't care what it is you have to pay the loss and get our shares back-"

"The only way it can be done by Angad marrying her!"

"No the only way it can be done by selling all your properties!"

Both Dilip and Naina stood arguing there while both Angad and Kartik watched this. "SHUT UP!" Angad shouted as he couldn't take it anymore, the pain on his eyes were visible, "I'll marry her only for getting our company back and don't expect me to do anymore" he stormed out of the house.

Mean while in New York a whole new family saga was going on… Josh tried to convince kripa to join Business with him as it will help her go through the sadness. And it will change her mood. Both Gayatri and Surbhayan supported Josh for his decision.

All three of them were sitting in living room discussing kripa's health. "Mom, she's not listening to me anymore, I can't see what will convince her"

Just then Kripa came down with luggage in her hand and fully dressed in white trousers and jacket. "Kripa, what is this and where are you going?" Gayatri said as she rushed towards her.

She looked at her and noticed she still look adamant, the black circles under her eyes were visible. "I am going back to India" she said.

"Kripa you can't go like this, wait for another week, you're still weak"

"Mom please, I have finals to do for my career. Dad please ask mom to let me go and I'll be fine"

"Kripa, you can hardly look at yourself here and how would we expect you to send you to India!" Josh said. "Look who's talking!"

Kripa looked directly at her fathers eye for sometime until he said, "Fine but you have to come straight back after exams or I'll send Josh!"

Kripa gave a tight smile and hugged her family members. A driver took her luggage to car, minutes later kripa sat herself in the car. They all watched her go,

"I'm worried for her!" Gayatri as Surbhayan pulled her in a hug.

"She'll be alright, I trust her!"

"That's the problem you don't see what I see!"

Angad sat by the grave of Dadi, purely drenched in heavy rain. How strange can life get for him? He did as she asked him to do during his life hoping for her to change and be like a normal mother. During the junior years, he watched her appoint musician tutor for him, never has she asked for what he wanted to be. "You're going to be successful rock star!" she had said. It was Dadi whom he gets along perfectly well and Kartik and Dilip when they had time.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up to see Kartik there. "Kartik?" he called, he nodded and sat beside him, he looked at him and then back to the grave, "Missing Dadi?"

They both faced the stone. "I wish she was here with me"

"Me too. Angad you didn't have to marry her!"

Angad looked at him, "What choice did I have? Like always I did what she said or would be destroyed"

"We could have figured it out or something but let me tell you I am there for you even if you decide to quit the marriage"

He turned to look at him surprise and smiled, "Thanks"

He nodded. "I am sorry for not being a proper brother to you"

Angad looked at him surprised, he continued, "Do you know why? Because I was jealous. Let me continue Angad, jealous because Mom kept giving you all the attention and I was doing everything to get her attention, she didn't do anything, just kept praising you and all. And Dad he was O.K but Mom I never understood her and today I realized it's not only me but you too. I am sorry."

He didn't say anything for a while, "you were jealous of me!" he laughs, "And me, all the time I was thinking Mom kept giving you all the freedom to do things but it's me who played with. I did everything what she told me to, never did once she asked me what I wanted and look today she did the same thing again. I envied you for the freedom you all got"

"How strange!"

"Yeah..."

"You didn't have to marry her I mean there's any other way we could figure it out? Who's the girl?" he asked, turning to him.

"What?"

"I mean, this kripa girl you fancy?"

Angad laughs, "No I don't fancy her but she's my best friend. You'll like her once you meet her. She's totally mad but I like her!"

Kartik looks at him, "I thought you were engaged!"

Now Angad looked at him, "How did you know?"

"Rumors spread really fasts. Mom's going to kill you when she learns this!"

Angad laughs," I bet she will be but it would be fun to see her, it's a long story and it was just a pretend but nothing. Only good friends, No I mean more then friends, best buddies!"

"Don't let mom ruin your life, it's yours!"

Angad looked at him, "same to you. How's your girl?"

Kartik looked at him surprised and blushed, "what do you mean?"

"Don't hide it from me lover boy! I have seen you with the girl many times!"

Kripa reached her flat during night time. It would take a lot of convincing for her examiners to let her take the exam again. She left for personal reasons and hoped they understand. There was no convenience food left in her fridge, decided to take the take away.

"We should do this more often" Kartik said as he parked his car in front of a restaurant.

Angad nodded, it was nice to spend time with his brother, and he missed it a lot. "Only if you can spare your time with your lady love"

"Angad!" Kartik blushed.

They joined the queue but didn't notice kripa behind. Kripa was aware of him and decided not to disturb him. Both Kartik and Angad grabbed their food turned to go when all of sudden Angad crashed into kripa!

"Kripa!" Angad cried in happiness. He stood shocked as he gazed at her; she has become weak, pale. "You scared me so much, why didn't you tell me. I am sorry for Neal!" he hugged her while kripa stood there dump. "I missed you so much, you should have called me, I tried to call you so many times but no one picked the phone"

"Kripa" he said again as he pulled away from her, "when did you come back?"

Kripa pushed him away, "What the hell Angad? I didn't ask you on that day when you were sleeping with that b***, did I. I wasn't that busy and as for you it's not my problem you weren't there! Excuse me I have some work to do" They were making a scne there, Angad looked at her shocked. Kartik stood and watched the scene.

Here's the next part. We are not away for getting the couple together as you all wanted. And yes Neal's death was sad one.
