Kripa parked her car outside Neal's apartment. Something was telling her that there was storm coming up, she suddenly felt nervous, scared and frightened. She prayed silently what ever was in her mind should be all wrong.
Minutes later, she stood outside Neal apartment door. She rang the bell, No answer. She waited for few seconds and then rang again. Where the hell could he be? She then heard a 'crash' sound. She felt her heart rising and her mind going back with that certain thought. Neal opened the door, breathing heavily.
Kripa looked alarmed, suspicious and worried. She quickly hugged him, trying to calm herself. Neal closed his eyes and he hugged her back. How he wished he could stay there for ever but the destiny and fate has other plans stored for him. Why him?, again he thought.
Kripa looked at him and smiled a nervous smile. 'What took you so long?' she said as she drops herself to the sofa.
'Nothing it was just me andâŚ'
Before he could speak, they heard someone call his name. Kripa looked at him with million questions in her eyes. What was she thinking, could it be all true? No, her heart reasoned, he couldn't betray her. She should trust him.
Kripa followed Neal to his room. Kripa eyes widen to see the sight. It was the same girl she saw in the pictures with Neal. The girl was wearing small skirt and low top.
Before she could ask something, the girl looked at Kripa and then gave a love look to Neal which made her mad. The girl walked up to Neal and put her arms around him which shocked her more. Neal looked at Kripa helplessly whilst Kripa smiled.
'Neal, won't you introduce me to her?' Kripa said walking to Neal and giving him a peck on his cheeks.
He smiled; she was the same Kripa Sharma he's in love with. She loves him alright Hurray but then the thought made him sad. She was simply jealous!
Neal left the girl' arm and look at Kripa. 'Sure, Kripa this is Amber and Amber this is Kripa my-'
'His girl friend' she finished for him and cuddled into his arms.
Amber smiled at Kripa. Why was this girl so calm? Maybe that's not what I am thinking.
Soon Neal left the two girls in the room. There was a drop dead silence.
'So, Amber what do you do?' Kripa asked.
Amber smiled at Kripa. ' I go to the same college as you'
'That's odd, I haven't seen you.'
'That probably you are too poplar in the college and don't have time to notice each single person who exists in the college?'
'That's not true, It's just I am always busy!'
Silence.
'Neal has never mentioned you.'
Amber laughed and waved a hand. 'Oh, he is like that!'
What was she saying, she knew him more than her. They were best childhood friends.
She continued. 'He talks a lot about you. I just met Neal last week and now we are here to do some project that we have been assigned.'
'Oh' was that all kripa could say about. They have known each other for a week and Neal didn't say a word about her? Why. Kripa wondered. Just then Neal entered with two cup of coffees in his hand.
'Coffees for the ladies!' he said handing the cup to Amber and then kripa.
'Wow! Neal how do you know my choice? , Expresso is my favourite!' Amber exclaimed. She then took a sip. 'That's one of the nicest espresso I ever had!'
'I don't, he laughed. 'Thank you and if you ever want my coffee just come to be simply baby' he winked at her. Amber laughed. Kripa simply wanted to take a bat and hit Amber as hard she could that she would end up in Antarctica.
'Kripa why are you not having Coffee? Didn't like it?' Amber inquired noticing kripa's quietness.
'Oh no, it's nothing. Actually I don't drink Expresso?' kripa said eyeing Neal.
'Why didn't you tell me Darling?' Neal said taking the cup away from her. 'I'll drink it as it's my favourite.'
'Wow, our choices match Neal! What else do you like?' Amber asked implying that she was interested in it.
'Well I like to play football and my favourite player is David Beckham_'
'Seriously. I love David Beckham he's so hot and cute!'
'Am I not hot?' Neal asked naughtily.
'I didn't say you weren't!' Amber blushed
Kripa then interrupted in. She looked at him sweetly and interlocked her hands with his, 'Do you want to go out to movies tonight? I really want to watch the new movie DON'
Before Neal could say anything Amber interrupted in. 'Sorry kripa, Actually Neal has promised me to take to the movies?'
Kripa looked angrily at her, how she dare steal her Neal away from her. Neal then looked at kripa, 'May be some other time. You don't mind do you?'
'No I don't' kripa said putting a plastic smile on her face.
'You can come with us?' Neal said.
'No, it's O.K. We'll go there tomorrow. And excuse me I just remembered I have to go somewhere.' She said leaving Neal's hand and going out of the house.
As kripa walked out, tears rolled down on her cheeks. She never felt humiliated that too in front of some girl. Her mind then went back to the pictures, the more she thought of it, the more sad, worried and angry she become.
Kripa then realized she left her bag in there. Kripa walked in the apartment house, the door was open she simply went in to the lounge and took her back. Her feet automatically dragged to Neal's room. The door was held open she took a peep and she froze as she saw Neal and Amber hugging, hugging tightly.
Tears rolled more and more as she ran out of his apartment.
Kripa waited for Angad in his room. Soon Angad step out shower suite wrapped in towel. He was surprised to see kripa and looked at her with concern.
Kripa walked up to him putting a confident smile on her face. She looked up at him. 'Will you go out with me, Angad?'
Angad mouth dropped open in surprised and shock.
Finally I have updated the Barsaat, I know it's short but that's all the time I have. I have exams coming up next week and on top of that I have so much to do.
