Hey Sam ... well apart from part XXIII update, I loved reading your comments - story of Tantalus, French clan, etc :) I actually scrolled to the end after seeing Tantalus reference to see if you have added any link. I just love to listen to mythological stories and at times miss my Nani as she use to tell me loads when I was a kid 😔 Anyway ... moving out of my nostalgia ... one more quick addition to your Bandra list can be the air-bridge that has come up just recently. And believe me ... like any other road-side shopping places in Mumbai, this bridge is bustling with people buying all sorts of goodies ... a better version of Santacruz station bridge.

About the update ... love you for not making it all mushy-mushy and keeping it realistic between AR. For a change, Armaan was doing all the talking which was good. 😆 I just hope though, nothing serious with Mr Shashank and this just proves to be one more incident that will help strengthen AR relationship further. The Tantalus reference is hilarious ... how can this lady change something so serious into fun??? Loved the light and humorous exchange between AR.
About Atul, am intrigued ... all his arguments of being friends and not able to see any of his friends unhappy are fine. But is it just that??? Seems he also needs to clear his thoughts. Maybe something else going on in his mind about which even he is not aware.
Ok ... DMG time now ... so gotta go. Have fun and take care.

Cheers,
Suvarna

Young Suvarna, I hope you enjoyed DMG yesterday…after along time yesterday, I thought the episode made sense….the father being upset at not knowing and at the ignominy of having daughter caught romancing in the park by a cop and having to bail her out…anger with the daughter but natural, feeling of being let down by Armaan having given him shelter, Atul's anger at being made a scapegoat though I must admit DMG's characters are wonderfully self centered with no depth considering the fact that every time Armaan gets into trouble they happily abandon him and join hands in pointing fingers at him!

Air- bridge? This must be a new addition because I have not seen this..but I have not been to Bombay for the last 2-3 years…

Am glad you liked the fact that it was not mushy! And am even more glad that you liked the conversation between the two esp Tantalus!

Atul, hmmm…have not really thought about that…he's a just a good friend who is concerned about what happens to his buddies and is caught in between two people trying to do what he thinks is right!

Shall update soon!

Hmm just read the last two parts in a go, and must say the date was certainly full of charm, with sweet teasing at the side. Really did warmed my heart of AR interaction on their date.

Hmm I think Angi is still in thought of still of making Armaan as her BF, I hope Atul really does clear out misconception soon, or I sense things will get worse!

Awesome update Sam!! And talking about Richelieu I just finished a 1500 word essay on him, lol. He's everywhere I suppose lol

Take care

-Natasha

Young Natasha, you are welcome for the PMs! My pleasure! I am so glad that you liked the part especially the much awaited date! Anjali I guess realizes somewhere that Armaan is not hers to be, but we all take our time in accepting things that we do not really want to!

Richelieu? What a coincidence! I happened to be going through Three Musketeers where he is mentioned and one thing led to another and he happened here!

Good luck with your assignment!

You say you cant write romantic part!!! What was this....you were awesome. Romance need not be mushy.....it was very realistically portrayed. Job well done! Waiting for more... hope dad comes out of this health problem hail and hearty.

Hi there! Believe me I meant that in all honesty…you have no idea how worried I was while posting this…whether it had come out ok or not! I am so relieved that it was appreciated!

I agree with you romance is not all mush..in fact sometimes there is a lot more excitement in the subtleness, at least for me, though once is a while a big dose of mush is welcome!

Shall post the next part soon!

I fully agree regarding Armaan being abandoned. Well, all his friends seek his help and knowingly or unknowingly, Armaan ends up bearing the brunt. May it be the gate crashing incident or the bhaang one. Ummm, regarding Riddhima and her father - well, first reaction of being angry is something expected. Hoping to see he atleast hearing out Riddhima in today's part. Well, DMG has stuck to being closer to reality always ... so won't be able to bear loads of melodrama 😭 Looking forward to read your update post DMG ... now thats gonna be a treat 😃

I am terribly delayed with my comments, and I apologise for that Sam. Have just been a bit pre-occupied with some matters and then of course yesterday I was wallowing in my grief that Federer lost the Australian open, though a well deserved win by Nadal nonetheless. Not every day can be the same, and the better player triumphed on D day. And it was just a beautiful snowy day today?after a very long time we had a proper snowy winter, coz of which schools, colleges were closed?so had just been enjoying the snow the whole day...Oh well let me get back to the matter in hand, and start the comment from where I left of.

Part 19 left me feeling so nostalgic?I doubt there is a single person who has not had a conversation on love with their friends; it's a part of growing up and college/uni life. Poor Ridz was left in a predicament yet again, but she smoothly got out of this one. What I liked the most in this part was that their thoughts on love were synonymous to their character sketch. I would have expected nothing less, than the said answer from Armaan when asked about his thoughts on Scarlet. I absolutely loved the Muskaan- Rahul interaction, and can only imagine her finishing with that one liner to recuperate from that uncomfortable situation. Anjali's answer reminded me of one of my fav quotes by Shakespeare "In time we hate that which we often fear". This was the first thing that came to my mind while I was reading Anjali's answer. It somehow fits her situation?I mean deep down?I think she is aware of the situation, yet decides to overlook it to suit her.

I agree with both Rahul and Armaan?actually come to think of it, I agree with all?coz the idea of love is different for everyone; it has a different meaning to one and all. But on the personal front, I am inclined more towards Rahul and Armaan?I feel that hope and love go hand in hand?one is incomplete without the other? "Hope is the candle and love is the flame; one is incomplete without the other" Credit for this line goes to my sister... I can understand why you chose that line for Atul; for him friendship matters the most?In friendship you find love...I wish you had elaborated a bit more on Atul's reply though. Ridz's explanation sure was very opulent, you definitely are remarkable with words, it's not an easy thing to put it in to writing?but you make it look so easy? Robert Frost's quote was a nice touch?

Anjali's outburst was not a surprise at all?no matter how wise you may have become or how old you've grown?sometimes you end up doing or saying something foolish, which you regret later. I am glad you made sure that you wrote about Anjali's regret. "Clearly love is an explosive emotion......" and I think that is the reason why I do not like Ankit?he just does not know when to keep his mouth shut...

Between Muskaan and Ridz, I have always found Muskaan's character to be more vocal, rather than Ridz; she comes across rather emotional.

Part 20? was by far the best update in all the ones I have read in terms of character context and the conversation of RM and AR, but even more than the conversation of the two. It was Anji's part that you can take all the credit and accolades from me. According to me Atul and her are your best sketched out characters. The scene between Armaan and Ridz was very naturally written; her anger directed towards him, his perseverance. Finally the cat is out the bag; now at least both can stop feeling jealous and guilt of hanging out with each other. Well at least the consequence of not refuting the rumours, are dawning upon Armaan?well sooner rather than later. The whole conversation seemed to flow with such ease? I am so glad that it wasn't an overtly emotional part; it just wouldn't stay true with Ridz's character. That is the best part about your writing?it's very much expected yet unexpected?like the way you steered a sad conversation in to a happy one?

The Rahul- Muski conversation was so adorable, oh how I wish Ridz hadn't intruded?may be we would have witnessed Rahul confronting Muskaan?just may be?or am I being very hopeful here?lol. Rahul definitely is the more sensible one out the three musketeers?what day was it that day?? Dropping bombshells on Ridz day?Armaan?then Muski?

Like I said before?Anjali's part by far takes the crown for this part?I absolutely have no words to say?well I do? but right now I can't seem to think coherently?blame it on the old classic Hindi songs I've been listening to? and I also have a few things to do before I hit the bed with my book. So I'll return soon?to finish of commenting on Anjali's part and the rest of the remaining parts. Well hoping to be back before you update another part.

Tc🤗

Love

Huma

PS: Thank you soooo much for the regular PM's...really appreciated.🤗

Hi there!🤗
What fun! Snow! Would love that except I am managing with sweltering heat most times of the year though right now its quite pleasant! Actually, its gorgeous in the evenings and mornings though afternoons tend to get hot under the sun!
I must admit college nostalgia prompted that part. Like you said, can remember cups of coffee/ tea over which we discussed love, life, ambition, relationships et all....and I am so glad that you said that about Anjali...I agree subconsciously Anjali is aware of the truth and she too has chosen to conviniently ignore it!!
I plead guilty to Atul being shortchanged but I thought that maybe it was too much on love so made it a one liner...that particular one would have probably gone into at least 8-10 lines! 😆 And I am glad yu thought Ridhima's thoughts were nicely penned albiet a tad oppulent and a tad romanticised....and I guess sometimes, like ANjali, you react against your better judgement!
I agree Rahul is the most sensible out of the three - at least he is clear about his feelings and does not try and think or rather overthink about them! 😆
Am glad you liked Anjali's part. Must admit that is a favourite cos I was keen to make it clear that I do not see her as a villianess but just someone caught in the grip of her own unrequitted emotions.
You are more than welcome for the PMs! 🤗
Take care!

Thanks for the PM! :)

That was really good! I like how you incorporated Armaan's name, and the whole Greek god part. I enjoying reading this ff the most because of all the literally elements and references you make. I think that's one of the things that set's this fanfic apart from so many others. Your writing style is very unique. We're you ever a thinking of being an english major or an author? I appericate the extra research you do for the small things like Arzoo and Amraan, the orgin of Armaan's name. Overall you're doing a marvelous, stunning and masterful job.

You're doing an excellent job, I can't wait for Atul and Anjali's little confrontation, i was a little sad cause i didn't see too much of Raul or Muskaan. I didn't mind, Armaan and Ridimaa's building relationship was nice to observe.

Well, continue soon. I'll be waiting for the next part and PM. :)

By the way, I know I have asked this before, but can I get a link to see the painting in Ridimaa's Study? I have been wanting to see the painting. Thanks.

Once again, continue soon, cause I am on the edge of my seat waiting! ;)
