Hey Kat!!

Great post....that is SO true about writing in spare time....writing is done for fun, cant be done under pressure. Oh and yes, the thank you button is seriously needed....!!! Plz tell people not to flood inbox in like 5 minutes asking when will be the update!! Hehehehe...its kind of nerve-wrecking...though very sweet of them!!!

Thanks so much for the post Kat....agree with all the issues you've pointed...both the reader AND writers have to work on it together ...it merely takes a second to press the thankyou button but still some choose not to do so....the views and comments differ like anything....will surely request my readers to work on the thankyou button...Thanks again for bringing up the topic....really sweet of you!!

I agree completely.......Oh I didn't notice Aishah's comment Jia. Its so disheartening when there are not many comments. I am sure every writer puts a lot of effort while writing the parts, and it surely hurts when the efforts are not appreciated.

Liek Sangeeta di said, I myself would feel very bad if I don't receive any comments and might lose interest in writing too. I remember how bad I felt when I had posted my ff intro for the first time and didn't receive enough comments, even told this to Jia. Comments from readers are what makes or breaks the writers' confidence, and same goes for writers too.......the more they interact with teh readers, the better bonding and understanding of likes and dislikes gets developed.

Exactly Rich, its a shame when a great fic writer looses interest! Just two lines of what you liked, what you disliked and what you expect next is hardly anything! And i am saying this as reader, have been a reader for so long.....it connects you so much to the writer believe me, you will adore the fic even more after this. No offense to anyone , just my two cents!

I totally second you Jia, the comments definitely connect the readers and the writers. And its not that comments have to be detailed or praising the parts only, they can be criticisms too, they'll all help the writers know their strengths and weaknesses.

hey i totally agree. cos there is new writers like me needs loads of encourge to continue the ff. #like sumbody mentioned that in the intro part there is loads of ppl leaving comments then the stop. that has happened with me aswell.

i have wrote a ff on ar look what u done to me it started really well i got a really nice response but now i have wrote three part but the comments are getting less. with each part.so thanks for the topic cat.

To all new writers please do not stop writing and all....Please continue and encourage the readers to click the THANK YOU button

Please note many silent reader may not feel confortable with leaving a comment on a Fan Fiction ...Which is fine and this post is not force members to comment... If the writer do see that they have readers following the storyline it does encourage them to continue..

New Writers please continue and i will be approaching the Dev team for a Writers Block Thread where we writers can discuss the issue we facing when writing a fan fiction/story lines and assistance for the writers .... Aids that can be used to assist the writer..... in the next couple weeks
