Guys since we have New Writers coming on the Forum which i think we all proud off seeing so many new concepts and the talent 👏..
Now to encourage the new talent on the forum the readers and other writers encouragement is needed.
I have seen post created and many have viewed the fan fiction but not commented.... which is fine! As im not goin to say post a comment to the slient readers but the THANK YOU button is there to encourage the writer and there post. For those member who comment please do so!😳
Can we please start using this button on the Fan Fictions pls... It gives the New Writers encouragement to continue and write... for those IF members who do not wish to comment on the Fan Fiction.
ALL Writers on the forum... As much as comments are vital for all of us to improve the story line could you please request ur slient readers to Click on the THANK YOU button. As this also give u an insight on who is reading and you can PM all your Reader if you provide that service.
Update Requests
Members please note we writers are writing when we are free to write and this is only done in our spare time, as many have work, studies and families so please just comment on the Fan Fiction ~ Requesting an update~ as i know the writers will see the post and will get an update as soon as possible... Please do not flood the PM boxes of the writer. With the request PM's ..... we working on it...these things take time...😆 All the writers i know are regular updates we all know that....
Ok i thinks i have Rambled on too much now.... but like would thank you for reading the post lol
Love Kat😳

Absolutely a great post Kat!! Kudos!! You have put across each point so subtly and so to the point. Proud of you.......this is what i have been wanting to say since ages.

I see so many fics, being viwed and hardly any comments despite the fic being so well deserved! Or another famialiar complain i hear from so many writers is that the intro gets so many comments but then the comments dwindle so greatly then we hardly have motivation left! I know so many who told me they wud quit writing becoz of this!

We all are busy i know, as a reader and writer and many a times its not possible to update on time as we sy and not possible to comment too. But a very humble request, whenever possible atleast leave a word? You know it makes a world of difference. Or atleast use the thankyou button to those who wish to remain silent or pm the writer.......youknow it works wonders trust me!

I guess i rambled loads, so rather stop. Just meant to say that we read a fic if we feel cnected to it andthe writer, we want them to write and update , same goes for writers, the more we readers encourage the better we motivate them....ok i am stopping here, hehe no offense meant. Luv u all!

Great post Kat. I agree with you and Jia, comments are highly significant in a ff, both for writers as well as readers. The more the readers comment, the more the writers get motivated to continue and write better. The comments also help to maintain a rapport between the writers and the readers. If readers have some doubt, they can use this medium to ask from the writer and it also helps the writers know if the readers are liking the story or not.

I saw some ffs which were viewed more than 80-90 times, but the quantity of comments was almost negligible in comparison. Jia brought a very interesting point about the comment rate being higher in case of intro and then decreasing with each successive part. We all should consider this aspect from the writers' POV, and try to encourage each and every one of us, even if its in the form of a single word.

Thanks!

Exactly Rich, I mean just see aishah, just post above mine. The same complain. Am saying this from the reader and writer POV.

As a reader we log in here, spend time reading an update, there's remarkable talent here, as a reader dont we enjoy reading a fic on our fav characters? Dont we wish the writer to update fast and keep us glued?

If we expectthis from a writer then same goes for us readers. Just putting a line of appreciation hardly take time. Ofcourse if you add what you like, dunt like it just creates a medium of conversation between the writer and reader and helps the writer improve......so thats all we ask for as writers.

It will just improve ur reading experience, make you feel connected to the fic and encourage ur writer to keep entertaining you.

Thanks Kat...great post
I agree that for us writers, comments are very crucial. Unless we know what our readers feel, it's hard to get inspired to write the next chapter esp given the fact that we all heve such busy lives outside of IF. I know I would stop writing if it were not for all the reader's comments

thanks for agreeing jia .. see i never used to visit the ff section but then i started reading some of the FF's here and i just couldnt help myself 😆 so i had to start writing .. i really enjoy writing the FF though, its just that not many people use the thankyou button or comment .. that just makes me feel that no one enjoys reading it all i want to say to the readers is atleast use the thankyou button if ur not commenting .. it really means a lot.
