Morning at the Khanna house:
In the morning, when everyone was awake and at the breakfast table, Angad came running down in a rush.
Naina: "Angad. Where are you going so early in the morning?"
Angad: "Mum, I've got important work."
Naina: "But Angad..."
Angad: "Sorry mum. Got to go. Bye. Love you."
Naina: "Yeah o.k. bye beta."
As Angad walked out the door, Dilip stopped him.
Dilip: "Angad. I need to talk to you about something."
Angad: "But dad..."
Dilip: "Don't but dad me Angad. It's serious."
Angad had never seen Dilip in this way before. He knew then, that there was something really serious that his father wanted to talk about.
Dilip took Angad to their front garden.


Outside of Khanna house- In the front garden:
Dilip: "Angad, your mother and I have been thinking..."
Angad immediately interrupted Dilip.
Angad: "Dad dad dad! Before you even ask: I don't do drugs, I don't drink and I don't smoke..."
Dilip started laughing.
Dilip: "Angad. It's nothing like that. I want to ask you a question about your life."
Angad: "As in..."
Dilip: "You know- you future...your wife..."
Angad then thought that Dilip was about to ask him for a wedding proposal.
Angad: "But dad. I aint ready to get hooked up with one of your, 'bad taste' bahu's. I still need to life. I still need to see life."
Dilip: "I know Angad but, a very great friend of mine has a beautiful daughter- she's well mannered, smart, your age, and I think she is perfect for you."
Angad (thinking: "Yeah whatever. No one is more perfect than my Kripa."
Dilip: "I and your mother are going to meet them today, but before that, we need to hear an answer from you."
Angad: "Dad, listen...please."
Dilip: "What is it Angad?"
Angad: "Dad, I already have someone in my life- whom I love."
Dilip: "But Angad..."
Angad: "No dad. My answer is no. I don't want to get married to that girl...what's her name..?"
Dilip: "Kripa."
Angad: "Yeah Kripa..."
Suddenly, Angad started laughing.
Angad: "WHAT!? KRIPA?! Dad why didn't you say so."
Dilip: "Oh so now you're defiantly going to say no, aint you?"
Dilip said this because he thought that Angad hated Kripa.
Angad paused.
Angad: "Oh yeah...I do. Ermmm. But she's not that bad if you think about it. She's average looking..."
Dilip now realised what Naina was talking about- Angad did really love Kripa. Dilip started laughing.
Dilip: "Angad beta. So is it a yes or a no?"
Angad: "Well...I suppose so. Yeah, o.k."
Dilip: "Angad I didn't ask you yeah or nah. I asked you yes or no. I want a straight answer. No ermmm's...o.k.?"
Angad: "O.k. dad. Yes."
Dilip: "o.k. Angad, but I have to tell you- this was a good proposal..."
Dilip paused.
Dilip: "What? Did you say yes?"
Angad: "Yes dad."
Dilip started smiling and hugged Angad. Angad, at first, didn't want to show his feelings (because there was too much to show) but then later, he joined in with his father.
Dilip: "Angad, thank you beta. Today I'll go to Suryban's house and ask for Kripa's rishta for you."
Angad got confused.
Angad: "But dad you said that they asked you..."
Dilip just realised that he spilt the beans. He tried hiding from Angad that it was Naina's idea about Angad and Kripa to get married.
Dilip interrupted Angad: "Angad I got a really important meeting in about half an hour. See you later. Bye."
Dilip patted Angad's cheek and ran off in his car.
Angad was left there thinking that his dad was so sly. This made him laugh. Angad was so happy.
