See, regardless of whether these children DO read stuff like this anyway or not, our duty is to make sure they are not given an option on our side.

I cannot explain the matter more than it has already been explained.
I also cannot understand WHY you guys are so eager to write and read X-rated FFs. Nevertheless, please follow the rules. They stay final.

i have a qtn... i know its wrong to copy the entire story of something else, but if u just use the same storyline, and write ur own dialogues/scenes based on that storyline wit only some parts taken from the original, issit still ok??

1. Dev team members - many dev team members are under 18+

2. Evidance of proof of age? would u supply copies of birth certificates to Dev team to hold? with data protection is not practical!!

I was told the same thing via the dev team when this was suggested and for them is not practical to do! as they want to be seen as a fun loving, family social network...

Thou we are upset about the FF we need to look at this objectively and be practicible about the whole matter.

Okay, all I have left to say in the matter is this:

Yes, even I learned it all in 5th grade. It's required here. BUT, I don't go around telling my parents that I know all about *** ed. and that I should be allowed to watch all the X rated movies and all that. BUT, the horrific image of my parents even reading a paragraph of an x rated FF makes me shudder. I know for a fact that my parents would make sure that my siblings and I don't come anywhere near I-F again.

Please, DO NOT deny it, if your under 18 and your parents were to read this, they would definitely not support it and would be ashamed (after all, who would be proud of their children reading about ***?).

Kids of any age can come on, read X rated stuff and not care. But some people shouldn't digest this information this way - it's better for them to learn it all properly and those who already know it, shouldn't be caught reading about it.

I can say way more than that about this, in fact, we can have a huge debate on it, but I'd like to end this once and for all.

X-rated, po*nographic writing will NOT be tolerated on I-F under any circumstances.

All members are strongly advised to report such chapters in the future.

Trust me, you might not get it now, but when you're of the right age (possibly married with kids), you'll be thanking I-F for such restrictions.

@ Fiona: Be creative, come up with unique concepts...and don't copy anything word-for-word. First, PM the writer and ask them if you can borrow their storyline. If the writer permits you to do so, make sure you credit them for their original concept.

Alright, I thought to give my 2 cents in this discussion as well. I'll add to whatever Madz just said ^^^.

First things first, why are we bringing in the issue of UNDER 18 kids, do above 18 read such initimate stuff openly infront of their parents. I for that matter don't, and wouldn't even feel comfortable reading it infront of others, and I am sure most of us feel in the same way. Are there many people around here who would like their lappy to be left open and be viewed by their parents, brothers/sisters, etc........regardless of their age?

The age factor is still brought in just like in movies, they are categorized acc. to the viewer's age. Certain movies are not meant for under 18 people no matter how aware they are of the theme, they do have an impact on your thinking no matter what.

Its not just a matter of having your parents around and about their feelings and expectations, its also about yourself. Agreed that noone is less educated in regards to these topics nowadays, but that's a part of the education. The schools make you aware of it not to encourage you to read as much adult content as possible. Most of us know about all such things but we don't talk about them with others just like that, we don't have to brag about that do we? A lot of things do require adult material but a lot many times those scenes can be left to a certain stop as well for the reader to imagine themself without going into the specifics. In some stories, such intimate scenes are an important part but again, those things can be written beautifully as well, without giving detailed descriptions.

Just my viewpoint guys.
