Discussion: Sensitive topics in FF's

Well, I would respect the person's opinion, and then write a huge comment on why I think abortion is immoral, and well it depends on the circumstances? hehe.. and fry their brain, like you're doing with us...

very interesting topic! Hmm well I'm personally not against abortion in particular so I guess I'd be okay with that particular issue... But on sensitive topics on general I guess everyone has the right to freedom of speech and opinion so I'd respect that nd just read it n get on with it I mean its just a story after all... It all depends to the extent of which they take the issue like as long as its not offensive or forced on the reader then I dont have a problem

If i were reading a FF with a sensitive topic, i would still continue reading that FF because everyone has different opinions on different subjects and they have a right to voice their opinions through their writing. They have freedom of speech so i wouldnt stop reading their FF or anything if i didnt like one of their topics, i would just continue reading. i'm not sure if i would voice my opinion on the topic, i havent been there yet, but i guess if i felt strongly about it, i would but i would respect their opinions as well.

Interesting topic Madz. I agree with Kat, this is fiction and a figment of our imagination. If we write about a sensitive subject (and trust me I have written several stories with lots of sensitive subjects ranging from abortion to inter faith marriages to ethical issues to generation issues, eating disorders, abusive parents etc etc) they are a part of the story and not necessarily my views on the subject. If I wrote about abortion and it's pros and cons in my ff Des Pardes, it was purely presented from the views of the characters in that ff, who are fictional characters.

i would respect the writer's opinion in their fan fiction..everyone has their own views in certain areas..and we all need to learn to respect that..its like religion..people are of different religions/cultures/and races..we all learn to accept that and look past that fact...we look into the person's personality...

Let me start by saying I have included a lot of sensitive issues in my stories... even Abortion is an issue I had taken up in my short story title, Hamarey beech key faasley, it was not with the leads but alogn side in the story.. and the issue was raised and tocuehd.. but i made it necesary to show against abortion... especially fro people who do this after sex determination... I think i wanted to raise certain issues and I always have attempted but keeepign in mind how mcuh to write on it the limit i can mention...i dont cross it..lol and the postive effect it shoudl bring..

I have raised issue liek Aids as well and few other issues ... with very small segmetns on it.... the only issue where I had shown a diffenrt approach was Rape.. with the story Advika. and i guess if my readers woudl have disagreed..i certainly would make myself aware what reason they have to disagree.. thankfully they have actually appreciated me more fro such stroies...I guess many social relevant issue makes the story very real..but u need ot be careful and not go to the wrong path ..

fictional is fictional... still the limit to potray a charcter who is the lead .. u need to justify every action properly i feel...

Sensitive issue needs properly handlign ... and in stories its preety difficult if its a romantic story....

Well sensitive issue are hard to handle, agree with Kat di, bheegi and bhoomika..............and topics like abortion really make ur readers go off from the story

But the main thing that is missing is connection between writters and readers...............Readers openly don't question back the writter to ask them for the actions and explaination

Well, i do think that writters write to motivate and show people some kind of realistic image of thw world and like to alert them from the dangers through a story...............

The readers should look back at the situation which make the characters think of an abortion............as writr always want to give a moral that don't cross lines before time

We really don't want out character look disgraceful or weird but we do that all to make an example

I really do think that Writters always should mention the ratio as Kat di and many few writters do and raeders should act upon that as we don't really want the young minds to indulge themselves to think of such situations

I was really thinking to ask vijay bro to make somekind of program that the ratio we mention in our fic, only ppl above that age should be able to read that fic as many youngers got involve without listening to the writters
