Honestly, fame Gurukul has boiled down to a contest between Charisma and Talent!

Qazi is very charismatic, but Shamit, Arijit, and Rex (is he still in?) are definitely more talented!

Personally, I'd prefer talent to charisma.....ultimately, one has to remember that this contest deals with singing.....you may have the most entertaining body language, but it's of no use when you are behind the mike as a playback singer if you have a mediocre voice! Qazi belongs in this category - he is sweet (probably the sweetest guy), charming, and a VERY GOOD ACTOR , but he is certainly a very very mediocre singer - should he then represent the country as one of the best talents? NO! Unless he buckles up and delivers something extraordinary, he deserves to be out of this competition....come on, Mona is out before QAZI? This makes no bloddy sense.......😭

On the contrary, Arijit has a SPECTACULAR RANGE AND DEPTH! Shamit's voice is near perfect - I believe that the judges are more rude to Shamit than Qazi....I recall that Javed Saheb (who irritates the hell outta me, btw!) did not appreciate his flawless rendition of KAVAA KAVAA .....clearly displays his prejudice!

And favoring Qazi's PBDHH over Arijit's VANDE MANTARAM was a pathetic decision.........accepted that Arijit's mike position faltered a little in the beginning, but keeping in mind the complexity of the song, his expressiveness, passion, this criticism could have easily been overlooked...i totally backed the faculty's angst over it......anyone could have sung PBDHH, but only Arijit (and maybe Shamit) could have sung Vande Mantaram so impeccably!

Qazi is like Shah Rukh Khan - highly entertaining, but certainly not the most talented........and, ironically, the audience prefers fluff to substance! 😕Please remember that I am certainly not against Qazi - if he awes me in a difficult composition in the coming weeks, I might bump him as my second favorite....but it would be wrong for him to win this contest when he is certainly not the best SINGER currently!

Yep - at these final stages of the contest, I back talent!

'MUSIC LEARNT ' does not make you a good singer with perfection. All those who learnt music is expected to be 100% perfect. If we can excuse these so called ' MUSIC LEARNT' then why not the 'Not Learnt' ones. However, even in earlier some show Arijit held the mike in distance and was pointed out by the judges. I think he deliberately does it when the song is difficult somewhere so that the mistakes are not caught. If the song does not reach only the judges, how can they judge it to be 100% correct. Mere by the name of the Song Vande Mataram or A. R. Rahman's song one cannot judge the song being sung well. On the other hand QAZI SANG 100% correct. I am also a ' MUSIC LEARNT' One become perfect only with REGULAR VIGOROUS PRACTICE ' RIYAZ' AND NOT JUST LEARNING MUSIC. And choosing a difficult song does not mean you are a perfect singer. Who asked them to take such songs when they cannot give 100% ??

krangara is right to a extend but comparing qazi to versatie srk is too much.SRK is both talented and entertaining. A kid like qazi to be compared to powerhouse is not good. I agree that qazi is more into entertaining than singing. But for stage shows he suits fine. As shahid had pointed out yesterday You should sing what you enjoy keeping in mind that views enjoy it too

I FULLY OPPOSED U KRANGARA.FIRST OF ALL U R NOT ABLE TO POINT OUT JUDJES BCOZ THEY KNOW THEIR DUTY WELL TAHN U.THEY ALSO APPRECIATE SHAMIT MANY TIMES IF THEIR IS MISTAKE IN THEIR SONGS SO WHY U BLAME JAVED AKHTER THAT HE BECAME RUDE.HE IS TRUTHFUL PERSON.HE ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH.WHAT HE FEELS HE TOLD.
NOW SECONDLY HOW COULD U SAY THAT SHAHRUKH KHAN IS JUST AN ENTERTAINER NOT TALENTED.WHAT CAN I SAY TO U .I AM JUST THINKING OF U THAT U ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY 😆 .WHOLE WORLD RESPECT HIS TALENT BUT ONLY U SAYS RUBBISH ABT HIM. 😡
AND LAST THING IS THAT QAZI IS IMPROVING DAY BY DAY.AND IT'S NOT AMATTER THAT IF A PERSON HAS NO DEGREE IN MUSIC SO HE IS NOT ABLE TO SING WELL .REX ALSO NOT A TRAINED SINGER.WHY U POINT OUT QAZI ONLY.IF FACULTY CHOSE QAZI SO HE HAS THE SINGING ABILITY TOO THAT'S WHY THEY CHOSE HIM IN 14 STUDENTS.SO NOW I REQUEST ALL OF PLZ STOP POINTING OUT QAZI ALL THE TIME THAT HE SHOUL LEAVE.BCOZ OF HIM MONA IS OUT ,ANUBHAV IS OUT AND SO ON. 😡

i think what u are saying is right ...but then the whole thing shud not have landed in the publics hand if they wanted a singer and not a performer...
but public looks for entertainment ...and the masses have always chosen a entertainer adn classes have chosen talent...
so the likes of srk and qazi are the apple of the eye of the masses.(i will not apologise to srk fans for qouting srk and qazi as on same level. i am entitled to my opinion.)
but the fact is srk is popular and with lot of effort qazi will be popular too....its the jantas verdict and it shall prevail.

All i have to say is its the mass who made Shah Rukh Khan "King Khan" and Amitabh Bacchan "Big B". So if they prefer charisma over talent why not develop charisma instead of arguing that the mass is wrong, because charisma cant be developed a person is born with that. If u are talented with regular practice and riyaz it can be increased but if u are not charismatic neither anyone can teach u nor u can develop that.

And as someone has pointed out he has given the answer himself that if Qazi becomes a part of the Jodi he will perform but need Kirti or Anubhav to do playback for him. So he has himself given the answer that they are capable of doing playback only so why try to come on stage and woo 3 million people. Qazi doesnt need anyones mask on him to woo the audeince.

Lastly if I say that I am doing a very tough thing and my teachers say yes I am a genius i dont become a genius until its something exceptional in the eyes of 1000 people viewing it. Same has happened with Arijit and Shamit and Qazi. They say we can sing tough songs, faculty says yes they can but the mass voting says they dont want them to do that. Then whats the use of doing that and they are the ones who says Qazi is not learned enuff but if his besura singing is liked by 3 million people and their strong alaaps dont even go thru the tymapanic membranes I think they should try some peppy numbers instead of those tough ones and develop some body language instead of copy pasting Bosco's steps; audience is neither deaf nor blind they will surely accept them. If they cant see or hear what u are trying to show and make them hear its not their fault the fault lies within u.
