If Qazi was not a good performer/singer why did the freaking faculty pick
him up for the final 12 out of over 1 BILLION ppl? are they crazy?

thats why this is a contest. you pick 14, but only 2 remain at the end of it. thats why there is elimination
the faculty picked anubhav, mona, gurpreet, amit, and chavvi (man she was a hottie).. too. did they have talent? yes. did they remain ? no. were they as fortunate as qazi to get 5 chances? no. were some of them charismatic? yes. (Amit was a darling).

same with qazi. he has some talent. but without the janta begging bowl, does he stand a chance? NO

As a final word... a good actor can make u believe anything.
as i said before, as soon as qazi gets a single chance , a single entry into safe zone, you will start seeing his true colors.

its already happened. he was rude to rooprekha, he was very very 'intelligent' with arijit..

according to him , he doesnt give a crap for relations. he wants to win...

qazi has gotten to this point with very little effort. yes yes qazi fans, he has been working very very very hard (duh) these last 5 weeks...but his colleagues have been working very hard for 15 goddamn yrs.

i luvd reading ur posts...princeofdarkness..u really have analysed the situation well, bt i dnt think it'll make a difference anyways...i also wanna make one thing clear tht "majority is not always rite" & this is wht is happening in FG..bt, even if qazi goes & wins the fame-jodi, i really dnt care...i infact pity his joridar, who would hve to work wth him for a yr..& the contractors offcourse..thy must already b thinking to back off, bt i guess thy cant...most pple r talking bout firing the faculty..i wonder how qazi improved w/out the help of faculty...i dnt think Ila has anything against qazi..she jus doesnt expect to loose singers lik arijit in competing with qazi..bt, thre's life ahead of FG..KJ has been highly impressed wth rex & shamit, & also said rex would b a str one day, no matr wht..anubhav & kirti have been given hopes by shankar..mona too was given hope..arjit, no doubt will make it really big..he's the best in the lot, mostly everyone is impressed by his talent..so, i really wouldnt care for FG..true talent will b out thre one day, & these same pple will b apprecting their talent..im sure thy all wanna go ahead & become playback singers..& so i wouldnt give much importance to dancing or luking attractive..we hve examples frm the past..i believe if a peron has talent, it will def. b out one day...no mattr wht...

She (Ila) might hold someone higher in her books, but that doesnt mean she de grades Qazi. Thats the difference between western and sub continental culture. Teachers are meant to give equal treatment to all. Even if they dont, they should not compare people by taking names in class (gurukul in this case)!

If she is so concerned Qazi should be in danger zone, why not make Qazi better then trying to be an advocate for Arijit who is already a learnt singer! She just wants all praises for students produced by gurukul..but see Arijit already knows how to sing!! Why should she or her teachers be credited for his singing talent? She is meant to help Qazi become a better singer! Thats meant to be her job! She is getting paid to do that!

The fact she put down Qazi just tells she does not respect him. What if one of the judges or Qazi himself say she is not doing her job (JA said that anyway), which she clearly isnt!

I wish its Arpita and Shamit in danger zone next time.

Western teachers give equal treatment to all students because they give them their grades in a very impartial manner also..

they dont give As to students who should get Ds,
Once they have given their D grade, they will still behave the same with the student who got the A AND the student who got the D, except that the student who got the D will not advance to the next class

in this case, the D grade student keeps moving up with the A grade student.
Why should the A grade student even bother studying then?

Why should arijit for example take a song like 'vande mataram' by a.r.rehman ? do you even know how hard it is to sing that song? try it in the bathroom if you arent trained.. your voice will crack with the first note itself..

do you know how easy it is to make a mistake singing that song? do you know the level of skill it takes to sing it flawlessly?
That is your A grade student. You cant even say arijit was dead on stage this time.. he performed it very well. he got the audience into it. at the end the audience even, was going 'arijit, arijit'...

i agree that day qazi sang well too. but 6 times he hasnt. and the d grade qazi has advanced.....

how can a teacher remain impartial ? tell me!!!!!

I agree its not qazis fault. its a fault of a loophole in the system. fame gurukul needs to change its rules when it airs next. these rules just wont work.. its like deciding who advances with a coin toss...and giving a fellow a coin with 2 heads

No doubt Arijit is a great singer. But Ila is meant to teach Qazi to the best of her ability and she is clearly supporting someone who is well learnt already and perhaps she hasnt taught much to Arijit anyway! She should invest her time in Qazi rather than showing off that she is training students like Arijit, where Arijit was not taught by her!

i dnt even u'stand y r the othrs contestants lik rex, rr, arpita, arijt, shamit even bothering to work hard, & make it to the fame jodi..the janta's decision is clear..its so sad to knw tht their talent isnt been apreciated at all...even aftr yrs of hard work...& tryin to sing each & every song to the best of their ability...thy will eventually b voted out by the public...coz thy lik somethings bout qazi, othr thn singing

dude, you cant become a doctor in 1 yr when it takes others 10 yrs, even if u work ur ass off...

fame gurukul is meant to be a showcase for talent. its meant to be a polishing. its not a stage where u learn ur a b c ds. its where you polish yourself to get into the glamor world.

if 12 weeks is all it took to become a superstar, we would have had a dime a dozen

give learning some more respect. these guys were sitting in a small hot room learning music when qazi sahab was out enjoying life.. every day, day after day, for over 10 yrs. it takes a lot of dedication. a lot of missed evenings with friends. a lot of missed dates. the risk of not enjoying the other aspects of life for something else.. they do it because they love and enjoy and understand music.. which a lot of us do, but they are the ones who will create music in the years to come..music you and i will listen...music our kids will listen...

you want qazi to be the flag bearer for us? no id rather give the flag to the guy who worked his ass off trying to carry it...

The janta were given this chance of being a part of the voting process to pick india's talent for the future..

They abused it. very very badly.

So next time fame gurukul appears, do you think they is even 0.001% chance FG will repeat its mistake again?

If janta behaves like a spoilt child that must have its candy, FG will ensure the candy is taken away the next time.

You will see a slight modification of the rules. Something as simple as 'you cant pick the same guy more than 2 times in a row'....
