Qazi's sweeping victory has contestants up in arms
Whooping viewer response as votes cross the significant milestone of 12 millionThis week has been another unexpected week at the Gurukul. Viewers have voed Qazi in for the 5th time yet again. The contestants are shocked and discontented with the outcome and are no longer holding back. They have expressed their disappointment about the results and are demoralized to know that the viewers have selected the 'X factor' over singing talent. They were relying on the viewers this week to make their voting decisions easier but had to make the difficult choice between Anubhav and Arijit, who were the pillars of the Gurukul according to Shankar Mahadevan. Gurukul has broken its own records, receiving over 12 million votes in 6 weeks. Clearly the apprehension amongst viewers is as intense as it is amongst the students at the Gurukul. The contestants chose to save Arijit after a lot of thinking but were very unhappy to let Anubhav go.

The Gala begins with the song Vande Mataram, and moves on other patriotic songs performed by the contestants. Debonair actor Anil Kapoor will be seen judging the contestants this Friday. With only seven contestants remaining, the competition is getting very tough and it's going to be the survival of the fittest. Watch the Gala episode to find out which of the four contestants will be selected by the judges to be in the danger zone this week.
