I love the album
Its awesome!!!!
here are my ratings:

Yeh Pal (all three versions) - 10/10
This song is just brilliant! The remix version and the fame gurukul winning performance are slightly better than the original yeh pal... original yeh pal i still rate it 10/10 but the other two i rate 11/10 😛
Karoon kya - 10/10
Awesome song! This song simply rocks! you'll instantly fall in love with it
Hero - 9/10
The song on the whole is good but certainly not at par with yeh pal and karoon kya... some parts are funny (paro ... chandramukhi one)
Meri Mehbooba - 9.5/10
Awesome beats! love the song! Both of them did a really good job
Kehkashan - 7.5/10
hmmm its an okay song! Qazi did a good job but the song itself is not very good!
Maddham si Chandani - 6/10
Well I would give this song an 8/10 but because of ruprekha's singing i give it a 6/10
Her singing is awful in this song ... you can hear whenever she breathes and its really loud and quite annoying
Meri Choodiyan - 8.5/10
A good one!

On the whole this album is certainly one of the best we've heard this year
Overall rating - 9/10 (a must buy!)

In "Madhyam si chadni",Ruprekha's breathing is loud only in first 4 lines,where there is no beat.I think it is the job of music director to point it out to her to keep away from mike during breathing ,after completing each line.The height of the mike is here important (It should be just below the mouth).
I think maybe in hurry to release the album they did not retake.Otherwise she sang the song with lot of feel.
Don't be harsh.

well for a fully trained singer to do such a thing is quite disappointing

and yes the music director should have pointed that out as well but a singer like her doesn't need to be told about this because this is one of the most basic things that the singer learns at first ... that is when to breathe in and out

but yeah after a couple of lines she does get better!

Thanks for response.Being a singer myself,I think Ruprekha did not make any mistake in "Breath in & out" timing,but she did not keep away from mike during breathing.
It is not a question of trained or untrained.As during training one never learn music with mike & in the FG they used cordless mike.So it is easy to place & move away mike at proper timing.
Still the best of the lot in FG Arijit who is trained,falter & give rise to mike controversy in his "Vande mataram" song .This fine aspects of placing mike is not obvious in stage singing ,but for playback it is must.
As every contestant has very little experience in playback recording,they give much importance to put feel & hit the right note in recording without giving much importance to recording technicalities .

i loveeeeeeeee the songs from their cd.....i agree maddham si chandni...yuo can hear her breathing but overall its great...i think qazi and rupekha did a wonderful job....mashallah...god bless them.... 😃
