Rex to Perform at IIFF, Goa - To Rex Fans

Rex will be in Goa over the weekend, meeting up with the India International Film Festival Organising commitee for negotiations to stage a beach front concert during the Goa Film Festival end Nov-Dec. If things work out as expected, he is likely to bring along his best friend Amit Jadhav, besides Mona Bhatt and Chavi to perform with him at the concert.

He is also expected to perform duets with Goa's Hema Sardesai (Awara Bawre, Janam Samjha Karo, Apun Bola fame)on the days when Hema is expected to perfom during the 10 day festival.

Rex is also likely to meet up with Goa's and India's original pop/rockstar Remo Fernandes to finalise an album deal with Remo's own music label. The Album is likely to be a fusion of Hindi, Punjabi, Konkani and Marathi sounds. Remo late Sunday, confirmed the meeting with Rex.

If negotiations work and a deal is cut, Goa will set up a red carpet welcome to one of India's brightest singing sensations. Await further details.

This is a report copied from a fortnigthly Goa Post, that hits the stands, giving local Goan news and views. I have no clue to its veracity but have every reason to believe it, as Gargi is freelancer and occassionally writes for several publications and used to be a part of the NDTV crime report team for sometime.

The IFFI in Goa starts 24 Nov thru 04 Dec. and then its the year end season where the party boopers of the world hit Goa in swarms and there are several shows, parties, concerts, seafood festivals etc and Rex being a name familiar and somewhat common to the Goan populance, if things work Rex could have a new market of fans screaming for him.
