Hm.. there are some things i find incorrect about your argument, first of all u pointed out that ila madam wasnt fit to be the head mistress and u also quoted one of her phrases. Well what would u think she would have done? A person is not effective by using slang language, but by their actions, and Ila madam has made some very sensible decisions in the past, such as renouncing her doubt about Shamit being a politician. She was not a biased person since not only did she talk with shamit about being a politician, she also talked with arijit. Now on Javed's part i believe that u are right, he is a very biased person and has always supported the girls in FG.

Second of all Qazi was in danger zone quite a number of times (11 times like u mentioned), but fame gurukul, unlike Indian idol was a place to learn and to improve. Gurukul literally means a place for learning and improvement, and if you think that the person who improved the most deserves FJ then Qazi is the first person who deserves it. You cant say that ruprekha cant even breathe on stage, she has a very beatutiful voice that she carries out very well, and like u argued, FG is about singing ability, which ruprekha has a lot of.

Third, stop critisising the janta so much, WE or the "indian janta from india" i should say were not the people who voted out shamit or arijit. We saved people like Qazi and Anubhav, it was the students' decision on who they wanted to vote out, NOT THE JANTA'S. They voted all the good singers out of FG, the Janta did not.

Last, yes i do believe that Rex or shamit or arijit even could have become on of the FJ, and all i have to say about them getting out is that they were good singers in the danger zone at the wrong time. If it were up to me i would make a fame group, where the top 5 could win 1 crore and that stupid car.. but it's not in my hand. 😉

Oh, and by the way, i have every intention on buying RR and Qazi's CD, because i am truly a fan of not only their outer appearences, but also their voice and their character.

First of all i would like to mention that your arguments were well put together and you are an awesome writer, however i totally agree with whatever usachick wrote to refute your points and some that she agreed to . My thinking on Fg is thats it not anyone's fault neither the janta , faculty , nor the contestants as to why RR & Qazi are FJ today . i do believe that RR did deserve to be the Fj and so did Qazi . Infact all the contestants did deserve it . The flaw however was in the set up of the show and the mistake being the contestants being allowed to vote. If this wasnt allowed maybe the outcome of the show woulo]d be different .i however do believe that more then 50 % of the janta has no deep knowledge of music so y should they be allowed to vote ? voting means some way for sony to make money , and to make the show more interesting and unpredicible . Now coming down to the judges are they biased ? we all are biased arent we ? we all have our favorites so, even the judges have their favorites i am sure!! we cant blame anyone for anything . it is the talented singers and stars that brought us these talented 14 contestants because they had something in them to entertain us . Be it rex and qazi who were untrained or arijit and arpita who were trained, but in the end 2 had to be chosen, so lets not complain bacause it is the people of india who wanted RR and qazi. it is them who appreciated their talent and now it them who are going to buy their CD's and go to their shows . Lets encourage them and wish them luck to be successful!

For all Qazi Fans and Non Qazi fans i have a humble request for you .I have noticed , so have many of us who are part of the Development team and the Moderators that there is a lot of bad blood between the two camps - Qazi fan camp and Non Qazi fan camp . Both camps have the right to their feelings , opinions and choice .

This is neither a Qazi fan club NOR is it a Qazi Hate club . This is a forum that wants peacefull discussion between members , even those who disagree with each other . I am sure all of us are gratefull that Vijay Bhatter has given us this forum where we can meet people from different parts of the world , and people who hold different views and similar views too . Thats how we grow as human being . When we learn to tolerate somebodys opinion without abusing or insulting them !!!And thats how the world becomes more excitng to be in . Imagine every one was exactly like you , thought like you, behaved like you . Wouldn't it be boring !!

Yes , the Non Qazi fans have made very rude posts - and So have Qazi fans . Lets clean our act and not go beyond decent limits . You can say you dislike some one or Love someone , and tell us why .But lets not get so mean that we pick on their apearances . Thats what they are born with and don't have control on . Discuss their singing style , or acting ability .

Also PM's are often misused to launch a personal attack on members by people . The PM facility is a way to get to know each other better and not to insult and hurt people . sO DON'T USE PM'S TO INSULT EACH OTHER !!

Post FG/FJ, this topic is by far one of the best debate-the-doubts threads that has been laced between the layers of fretting-the-small-stuff and preaching-to-the-converted threads.

Thank you usachick821 for enlightening me, a Hindi illiterate, on the definition of Gurukul. This should bring some of the souls who have gone off tangent comparing FG with Indian Idol back on track.😛

Though I have not watched Indian Idol, the concept being similar to the American Idol, has to be classified as a talent search competition.

One cannot compare apples to oranges. So I would not compare Indian Idol to FG. I would view Indian Idol as being on a talent platform (quest for the best yet-to-be-discovered singer) and FG being on a training platform (quest for discovering and grooming musical talents).

So those who voted for Qazi have a good head on their shoulders.😉😃

And yes, I also concur with the Fame Group notion as all the contestants had some obvious strengths in various categories.👍🏼 (Btw, I also didn't like the car!😒)
