FG is not for singing only and definitely not for playback singing. There are enough SaReGaMa type of programs that produce lousy classical singers. The very name of the program suggests the motive behind the program - Fame and Gurukul - that means the institution where where one is taught and groomed to famedom. The logo of the program which is a hand grabbing a microphone suggests that the fame is to be achieved through singing. Hence it doesn't suggest that the FJ has to be a playback singer or has to be a great singer in the first place. He/she has to be an entertainer, a total performer and a total fun-filled package, in the same time he/she should know how to sing in a way which will grab the audience for the while time while of performance. So Qazi just fits the notch. He's not a singer as a whole, not an actor as a whole, not a performer as a whole, but the combination of all - to top it all - he's a good heart, which someone has to have in order to be famous.

And if RR is supposed to be the inevitable female counterpart, then there is no alternative to this jodi.

As such Qazi and RR Jodi has got no alternative.
