It was the biased Javed Akhtar who brought those things in the contest. We are just pointing it.

How Javed has attacked Shamit, Arpita, and initially Arijit also we know. Whereas he has always ignored Qazi's folies as a singer, as well as an uncouth youth.

This whole drama of encouraging a non-singer to be a singer was started with very different intentions (of goodwill), which is fine and well accepted, but sincerely it could have been handled better - instead of exalting him as a demi-god and degrading others as if they are the mortal sinners of the highest order.

Why just Javed, Ila does not show any consistency and maturity in her demeanour. She has never made a mark in mainline singing - and has no voice to speak of - yet such are the people who are giving lessons on rag shastra. Her actual qualifications lie elsewhere.
