More Camps on the way to Everest summit

As I have been saying, there are more camps on the way up to the summit. I had read abt that before and now I found a map that illustrates this very clearly.

The Base camp is at the foot of the whole Everest range but after it there are 4 more camps where the expedition stops to rest and recover before continuing to the summit.

Colonel said Nasir's team had gone further ahead of Geneva Spur when they got lost, that means they were located just after Camp 3...he called it the dead zone, is it because no communication is possible from that place? Maybe thats why they couldnt send the SOS?

The blog below describes the entire journey up to the summit starting from base camp...the blog has to be read from bottom up to follow the chronology of an Everest expedition.

It seems from some of these blog photos that Gowariker has recreated some of the prayer structures from the actual Everest South base camp in Nepal... even though he did the shooting at Dokrani glacier in Uttarakhand, India.

Gowariker said in his interview that making this show was LIKE climbing Everest...he didnt mean that he actually climbed to the summit of Everest.
They did the actual shooting at Dokrani Glacier near Gangotri. This article has all the info...

Gowariker and the actors are not real mountaineers even if the actors did get training before shooting.

Its not feasible or practically possible for a whole team of actors, camera crew and director to climb actual Everest so they shot at Dokrani glacier in India which is at a lower altitude so easier to manage with a whole crew.

Very interesting pic..!!
The information and research he took for this project is really amazing and it was executed beautifully.. So many basecamp before sumitting everest.. Yesterday Sam referred that camp 3 looks toxic and harmful from any side and Nazir team stucked at Geneva Spur as they're at a height of 24,500 ft reason of getting tired and reduction of oxygen making them struggling. Thanks for sharing this fascinating pieces of information.!!

You're welcome!
This map is really helpful in understanding exactly how they will reach Geneva Spur. They will need to stop at 2 camps before they reach Camp 3...where Nasir and his men are stuck. From the map it looks like a giant glacier and glaciers always have danger of crevasses.

Colonel said they will take 2 days to reach that place.

But really I dont see why Colonel didnt take Anjali along, if he could take Akash as a videographer then why not Anjali?
It seems even Colonel has gender bias like Anjali's father.

I do hope that some how Anjali getting into this rescue mission by herself or Rooghta's pulling it by his words.. Definitely something stored for us.. Really felt bad for Anjali.. And I m recalling initial promo where two mountaineers falling inside and breaking down inside glaciers. I guess it's Arjun who was left unconscious.. Finally Anjali rescuing him.. Now I'm really excited how Anjali getting into this rescue mission? Or Col giving some other way in aiming her mission??

Yes, I really feel very bad for Anjali, her face when the rest of the team is leaving without her was heart-wrenching! She has struggled and worked so hard for this mission and now shes being left behind.
But Im sure she will venture out on her own, which will be a suicidal, do or die quest for her as a last resort.

Its possible Anjali will catch up with the rescue mission and then she will be the one to save Arjun and others when they fall and get injured. Im sure Anjali will be the one to reach the summit and not Arjun.

Yes she is the one who will save Arjun and summiting everest...Arjun needs to know the capability of a person and everest will make it more clear to him than anything..!!
