Irony means of all the people, BANSURI is reminding Balwant that Gunjan is his daughter when she herself had neglected Gunjan as her daughter, deprived her of her love, always tried to use her..she never loved Gunjan..for her, she always a burden and despised her..and today she is reminding Balwant not to forget Gunjan is his daughter!!

And yeah...Balwant's daughter is Gunjan, that doesn't mean he will be unjust with Geet and marry her off with anyone who shows up!

I don't think Bansuri cares for Gunjan even now. If she is telling Gunjan to save her marriage, it is not out of concern. She fears that if her daughter's marriage fails, she will come back & be a burden to her again.

More than concern, it is her selfishness. A person cannot change overnight & people like Bansuri will never change.
