One line that sticks in my mind to support this is the scene when he finally confesses his love to his longstanding best friend. "Itna pyaar karta hoon tujhse ke tere paas aane se darr lagta hai. Kahin main apne pyaar se jalne na lagoon" that line in particular and the way Vishal enacted spoke volumes. There you could see exactly why he would earn a name in the telly industry in the coming future. You could tell that this was his first show and that he was just getting his foot in the door as an actor on screen when later on you would compare it to his next role.

Then we came across him as Daksh in an episodic of the show MTV Webbed. He played the role of a typical, easy-going, a bit of Casanova and fun loving youngster who wants to be a radio jockey. What stands out in his performance as this character is the brilliant transition he showed from being a carefree, happy-go-lucky guy enjoying life to a broken person who got betrayed by his close friend in the climax. We could not just help but feel something numb inside as his cries echo in the room at the end, and definitely that assured the known fact that he is going to touch the sky one day for sure.

Finally Baldev entered our lives like a storm (& firecrackers *winks*) and spread smiles on millions of faces worldwide. Now Baldev is a character obviously close to us fans' hearts. Not only because it's Vishal that is enacting it, (that's a given!) but because the writer has given so many levels to Baldev that it's like we have been on a journey with him, and that would only be possible if we had an actor that would enlighten us on that journey. And that could have only been Vishal. Fact.
The journey he has taken in terms of his acting is clear proof when we see the current track that is playing out in Veera. From the beginning of the leap and Baldev's entry after he had grown, we saw Baldev and it was as if he hadn't grown up. Still the same, scheming brat that just wanted to get his own way.
But then he reunited with Veera. And everything did change, but at it's own pace. He didn't change himself completely overnight but as he realized he was in love, he began to take things more seriously and we got to see a more serious, caring and sweet side to him. For the old Baldev, the thought of jumping on a plane to help anyone, let alone his childhood arch nemesis was something he or we would never have imagined! During that trip, we see a different Baldev, someone so heartwarming and selflessly supportive, and he made us be awed of him almost all the time.
Love had changed him and made him more caring, not just to her, but to his family too. Before his relationship with his father was practically non-existent, but their relationship developed as Balwant becoming a confidante for Baldev, a means of support and in all sense, a father.

Now let's skip ahead to the latest track: The way Vishal portrays the emotions of a traumatized man who doesn't know who to trust and what is going on is one that we never expected to relate to when we first saw his outburst in front of Veera. At that moment, you understood that he had suffered in the police cell and that he was hurt that he felt that Veera had married him out of pity, rather than out of trust. And at that moment we could have easily been the biased fans and supported Baldev because he was, well, Baldev. But we knew better. His actions were hurting those around him, particularly Veera and clearly he was wrong with what he was doing... but there had to be a reason. There had to be a deep recurring reason that made him act the way he did.
But it was only when we saw the depths that Vishal brought to the scenes he enacted that we truly understood Baldev's plight and exactly what he was going through. That Russian roulette scene in particular had our hearts in our mouths, so to speak! To just imagine the pain Baldev must have gone through to take that step. His emotions were running high and he just didn't know what to do. We viewers were in awe of what we were seeing. It was the pain and the anger that was driving him to act and react like that. And we completely knew it as we see the way Vishal depicted Baldev's emotions, as if he literally breaths his pain and actually takes us to a complete different world where we can only feel for him.

We're all looking forward to seeing what else Vishal has to offer as Baldev and even after this. Although we feel that we've watched his best, somewhere deep down lies a belief that there is plenty more he is hiding under his sleeves, waiting to amaze us. He has only improved throughout the time he has appeared on our TV screens and we can safely say that he will go on to greater things in the future. Throughout his journey, he will have our love and immense support always! God bless you Vishal!
