Veera woke Baldev up and t ask him about the murder but his
response startled her, he was not in his right sense of mind and
only yelled at her. Baldev had pinned her to the wall.
Baldev; me pagal hun na...
he kept repeating this phrase and it hurted veera, she wanted to see
her old happy smiling and loving Baldev,
Baldev; mera kya me to kuch bhi bakunga,..isiliye menu baksh de
His eyes were so scary she was feeling numb, in a reflex action she
closed her eyes and threw herself on him hugging him tightly.
Baldev was in the shock of what happened.
Veera; plx aisa mat bol, esa mat bol, tu pagal nhi he..nahi he tu
pagal, tu mera Baldev he, tu pagal nhi he
Baldev was unable to grasp the situation he was suddenly in, he
moved his hands to hug her, but then again he realized what was
going on and moved his hands to her shoulders to mover her away,
but she didn't let go she held onto him tightly. He moved his hands
to her waist and just held her. Veera patted his back with one hand
and brushed his hair with the other.
Veera; kese samjhaon tujhe (she sang slowly) hai kya dil me mere
Baldev got tears in his eyes, he closed his eyes to feel her warmth
again, he sniffed her hair, the same usual fragrance of her hair filled
his lungs, he felt so refreshed, he tightened his arms around her and
pulled her even closer, their ribs rubbed against each other.
And then Baldev again had the flashbacks of their first night
together, his whole body shivered and he pushed Veera away.
Baldev; door reh mujhse, bohot door reh, main qatil hun, main pagal
hun, door reh, chali jaa, jaaa
Veera tried to come close
Baldev; nahi..nahi..ja...tu nahi jayegi?...to main chala jata hun
he left the room kicking the sofa aside. Veera stood there, did she?
yes she did..she did control him, even if for a very brief time , but
she did, she didn't have to argue with him she had to give him love
and affection, like a small child he was very vulnerable and wanted
only care and affection.
Veera; tenu lotna hoga Baldev, apni veera k paas lotna hi hoga
A night Balde curled up on the floor again, but Veera ahd set her
mind to not let him sleep on the floor. She carefully put his head on
her lap and applied some oil in his hair and massaged. Baldev woke
up and jumped off her lap.
Baldev; tu...tu ja yahan se nhi chahiye tere ehsaan
Veera took his hand in hers, Baldev looked at her with wide open
eyes.
Veera; Baldev ...meri jaan, meri gal sun, thodi si tail malish hi kr rhi

Baldev moved his hand away.
Baldev; nahi nahi, dur hat
Veera took a pillow from the bed and came close to baldev, he
moved back.
Baldev; nahiii mat maro menu
he was trembling veera threw the pillow on the floor and pushed
him on it, his head touched the pillow, Veera towered him. Baldev;s
eyes widened even more.
Veera; bas bohot hua tera, bohot naataq krliye tune, tu mera pati

Veera kissed his cheeks and then moved to his lips, Baldev caught
her and pulled her down, he towered her now.
Baldev; itna asaan nhi he sher ko qaboo karna
he pushed her and moved up to the bed and was soon asleep. Veera
sighed in relief to see him comfortably in bed.
She slid in the quilt silently and watched him sleep, he caught her
hand in his sleep and she smiled.
Baldev was frightened in his sleep and was trembling muttering
stuff Veera was unable to grasp. She hugged him.
Veera; kuch nhi hoga Baldev main hoon na..
Baldev; nhi wo...chachu..chachu...ranvi...mene khoon nhi
kiya...veera..veera ...menu chad k na ja veera...mene khon nhi kiya
Veera; haan haan baldev..menu pta he tune nhi kiya
he opened his eyes and saw her face.
Baldev; kya?
Veera; menu pata he tune kuch nhi kiya
Baldev moved out of the bed
Baldev; acha? achanaq tenu apne pagal pati pe inna wishwas hogya?

Veera came back to him and sat on her knees and held her ears,
tears dropped from her eyes.
Veera; Baldev menu maaf krde, mere kehne ka tune galat matlab

Baldev stood quiet, veera touched his feet.

Baldev sat down and held her shoulders.

Veera caught his hands and looking into his eyes

Baldev hugged her and sighed in relief.
Baldev; ab agar tune mujhpe kabhi shaq kiya na to tenu chadunga

Veera; ab agr me tujhpe shaq karun us se pehle Rab menu apne
paas bula le
Baldev hit her.
Baldev; chup, tu menu chaad k kahin nahi jayegi, yaad nhi tune
wada kiya tha
Veera; haan haan nhi jaongi.
They hugged tightly to never let go
