@monumolu and @Riya : you guys said what i had to say, one is responsible for ones own actions regardless of one's family! god has given every human being a brain to think and a conscience to guide us and veera is not a 5 yr old she is a well educated 22 yr old!
And family and upbringing can be blamed for how one turns out to be in life, having studied psycology i can tell u gunjan's upbringing, lack of motherly love and being manipulated and pressurized by bansuri all her life explained her insecurities and her intial actions with ranvi, the circumstances leading to casting couch, her misunderstanding ranvi and treating him like crap after marriage and her wanting to run away to canada to fulfill her dream at any cost.upbringing and having no proper guidance also explained some of baldev's actions and way of thinking ( chauvinistic mindset, sarpanch dream and wanting to be sarpanch by hook or crook, not wanting to work UNDER anyone (bansuri having brought him up as if he was born to rule) etc ) but in the case of veera, i agree she doesnt have proper guidance ( but she is way better off in this department compared to gundev)and her birth truth revelation and feeling of indebtedness has had major role in her veerji obsession but nevertheless she alone is responsible for her superiority complex, her ego, her i am always right attitude, taking baldev for granted, treating him with no respect and choosing to not trust him, slapping him and saying horrible things to him and now letting her ego rule, i am sorry to break you bubble but her family has nothing to do with this😃
