Well it has been ages since I left this story hanging, as past 2 months was busy like hell at Office. Finally thought of updating and finishing it as I will get some free time with Ramadan approaching. Thank you guys for the likes and comments!!!

Part 3

Today was a very special day. He made a public appearance for the first time in a year. Realization slowly dawned on Baldev as he slipped to the back stage that he was not concerned about the interview at all, it was something much more important - Veera!!! Baldev remembered how he stumbled around the words in the interview, as he tried to escape the memories of Veera and to collect his thoughts into one coherent sentence!!!

As Baldev approached his car slowly, he noticed the sun beginning to set behind the tall buildings!!! Baldev knew tonight would be different and he needs to get away from prying eyes to a secret private place. His black BMW sped through the roads of Mumbai.

Baldev turned his BMW to the Mumbai - Nashik Highway!!! As he gazed at the long stretch of road leading to Shahpur, all his jumbled thoughts started falling through the cracks of his confused mind. "Kaash yeh raastein mujhe tum tak le jaaaye Veera!!!" Baldev has met a string of beauties here in Mumbai, but Veera was the only girl who plucked his heartstrings!!! He gripped the steering tightly as if holding her hand in his; he bit his lips, his eyes downcast and brimming with fresh tears!!! He blinked his eyes several times to contain his tears and mutters softly, "Dil todne waalon se bhi aksar pyaar ho jaata hai!!!" Today is one of the rarest days where Baldev is brazenly admitting his love for that one girl who broke his heart!!!

Baldev steadily maneuvered his BMW along the bumpy and curvy road of Shahpur!!! As he progressed he sensed a change in the scenery!!! The roads were twisty and curvy. Baldev slowly opened the car windows letting the cool air in!!! He took a deep breath, and soaked himself in the sights before him!!! The cool evening breeze caressed his cheek and it somehow soothed his burning soul. It almost felt like her hair tickling his face!!! Baldev smiled ever so lightly when he remembered how her hair flying in the air used to tease him!!! Baldev never told her, but he adored her hair!!! He never knew which one he loved more, her hair left open or her chotti!!! Each of the moments flashed in front of his eyes as if it was just yesterday, "Veera tere baal bhi tere jaise hai... Jiddi!!!" Veera laughed merrily seeing the discomfort of Baldev when her open hair touched his face!!! Baldev sadly recalled, "Veera wohh baal mujhe pareshaan nahi karte the, lekin uske choone se mera dil jo bhaangra karte the wohh kaise dikhaa sakta tha mein tujhe!!! Baldev felt like a raging furnace as he fell in to the deep abyss of her memories and the tears trickled down his cheek burning them like molten lava!!! Reflections of the past exasperated Baldev beyond the power of his endurance and the car screeched to a halt shaking him off from plummeting further into HER!!!!

The screeching car wheel jerked Baldev and also the people on that small village road!!! Baldev left a huge sigh as he did not harm anyone around!!! Sometimes he is like the fire spitting dragon that can harm everyone in its course with the spark of fire burning in him!!! Baldev sunk in his seat as her memories hit him like waves, invoking a tsunami of emotions that crashed its way through his eyes. He closed his eyes again, he knew she was dangerous, she was a mystery, and she was a mirage, but there is not much you can do when your heart gives into the temptations!!! Yes he is in love... he can't help but admit it that even her memories are alluring!!! "Kyun aaj bhi main tainu pyaar karta hoon Veera??? Lekin apne dil ki baat main sabko bata nahi sakta!!! Jaise har gham ki dawa nahi hoti, waise yeh ishq ke bhi koi hadh nahi hoti!!!"

Baldev opened his eyes as he felt his world shaking!!! It took him a moment to register what was happening!!! As Baldev brushed off the fresh tears with the back of his hand, he saw an old man leaning through his car window and shaking him vigorously. He had a line of concern on his forehead and questions in his eyes, Baldev blankly stared at him, as he as rarely seen someone being concerned for HIM!!! It almost felt strange and Baldev smiled as he was amused by the situation, then he heard the man mumbling, "Beta kya tum tteek ho?? Kahi koi chott toh nahi lage??" Baldev nodded his head in a no and he could see the wrinkles on the stranger's face relaxing a bit, "Nahi wohh aapke aankhon mein aarzoo...!!!" He left it in middle sentence being so considerate of the young man sitting in the car and with a soothing smile continued, "Beta aap bahar niklo mein Shaahpur ki best Chai pilaata hoon aapko!!!" The care of the old man was so genuine that Baldev could not deny his invitation, and then the mention of the word "Chai" ignited a new spirit in Baldev. After all there were only two drugs which could cure him and get him close to what used to be "The Baldev Singh" - "Ek uski Veera aur doosri uski Chai!!!"
