Did you tweet him? Please tell him we don't want half-sister revelation so soon!
And we don't want VeeBa so soon!

Why the breakneck speed? :(

I think that it is fine to show a grey shaded female lead. But the shades must not make her appear like some sort of psychotic vamp that just does things to spite people!! Yes she has not been loved by her Mom. Her Dad didn't support her to the extent that he should have. Her brother always just dismissed her. Only recently he has shown he does care for her deep down.

Now comes the fact that she is willing to hurt Ranvi for some sort of twisted revenge. Either from Veera or Ranvi or both. It just makes her look like someone who is spiteful and malicious! Being hurt and seeing people in a negative light is one thing, but deliberately hurting a childhood friend who has always supported her is something else!!

In stories where we have grey hero's the premise is that they will hurt people, but there will be those close to them that they will always be loyal to. In Gunjan I have not seen any such allegiance to anyone. Not even a guy like Ranvi who was always there for her. To her, now even Veera who she was so close to looks like someone who would double cross her! This means that she has really crossed over to a place where redemption will be quite difficult for her!! I really hope the cv's don't totally make her someone people will detest, just coz they want to make her complex.

Ratan is complex. Sometimes even grey. But no one hates her. She rejected Veera and to this date struggles with showing any affection to her! We GET that her husband cheated her and that Veera is the result! Yes we are not happy that she was not able to accept Veera fully. But we UNDERSTAND her. We know she is not a saint and THAT is what makes Ratan so likeable and relatable!!

Baldev is a bad boy, but in essentials he is not bad. He is misguided and he is irrational. However, he would never play the sort of twisted games that Gunjan is playing. He is whatever he is, to your face. He never misrepresents himself. Everyone knows what he is like. It's all out there. That's why we like him!!

In all, we love Ratan despite her failings, coz she is a good person. She is a very kind and generous women and despite not bonding with Veera, she fulfilled her responsibilities to her by getting her the education that she deserved! She deep down loves her too. But unable to express it. CV's got it right with Ratan. She is grey too, but not in the way that makes you view her negatively or as an evil step mother! Ratan is not malicious! But Gunjan IS! I really don't know what to make of her anymore. She is a VERY disturbed young women who looks like she needs the help of a psychiatrist! Coz this behaviour is anti social and sociopathic!! Leading a guy on just to reject him. Getting a high out of leading someone on and making them fall more for you only to crush them?? Do CV's think this behaviour is normal? I don't think it is! It is the sign of a VERY disturbed mind!!

i am struggling to bring myself to be happy at the reply. . . but just cant. . .too much of a political reply. . borderline stuff, which I guess is part of his Job. . . loads of parts I refuse to accept. . things made worse by Veera step-sister revelation matters. . I was expecting that to be at a better time, and not so soon. . .
since yesterday , my writin mode had been activated, and i planned to do a big SS, includin Ranjan and Veeba, focusin ono times after karan departure, build up to ranjan confesion, gunjan rejection reasons (i have thought of loads of logical ones from a serial point of view), , aftermath of rejection, and VeeBa matters along the way . . . but today, I feel tired. . . really. . . and real life is not helping as well, coz just today, received some confidence breaking news that rarely happens with me, work related matters. . . but i guess thats life. .

anyways, thanks for passing this on . .

lets see whats in store for Veera as a whole now. . . CVs setting up a khichdi momentum .. hope they dont get muddled up in all of this. .. and justify what they are doing . .

I know. It's sad to see Ranvi heartbroken because of the girl he loves.

All I want to say is layering and complexity in characters should only be done to the extent that they still appear to be positive to the viewers. I love the way they have layered and given depth to Baldev's character. Inspite of him being bad, people adore him absolutely love him. But if they are going to show Gunjan a really sweet girl with hidden motives that is going to leave a very bad impact on the viewers. Please do not make the character so complex Cv's, so that in the end she starts looking like a vamp. I will still reserve my judgements for after the scenario has been played out. But if they are going the revenge way, then there will be no reasons left to justify Gunjan's actions, atleast for me. Not even the fact that she has not been loved. Coz a girl who makes a guy run around her and then rejects him is not something that will go down well with the viewers. In the end Gunjan still has to look like she is one of the leads.

Bang on post! My thoughts exactly, the CVs have done an excellent job in showing Baldev as a layered character but not so much with Gunjan. If the CVs show her only putting on an act to intentionally hurt Ranvi then that makes her negative and it will be very difficult for viewers to identify with her actions or character. CVs seem to be treading a thin line where Gunjan is concerned

If only the CVs could read your post, you summed things up perfectly. Viewers get what Gunjan has been through, she has had it rough so its natural that she wanted to get away from it all but it is not like RanVeera sabatoged things on purpose for her and I think its quite sad that she would think so little of two people who she has known since childhood. What has Veera got to be jealous about? What is Ranvi's fault in all this? The more justifications the CVs try to give Gunjan's character the more I fail to understand her.
