4 months later...

Veera couldn't believe that it she was only two weeks away from leaving for the UK for further studies. Baldev was back to his usual self after the diary incident. Veera was deep in thought thinking about her veerji, beeji and chaiji whom she would miss when she got a call. It was Karan.

Karan: "Veera, kya tu dhaba pe 5 minute mein aa sakti hai? Mujhe tujhse kuch zaroori baat karni thi, actually ek surprise hai hamare UK jaane se pehle."

Veera was curious to know what was so important that Karan wanted to tell her.

Veera: "Haan, main abhi aati hoon."

Veera arrived at the dhaba and saw Karan sitting at one of the tables in deep thought. When he saw her he gave her a huge smile.

Veera: "Kya baat hai. Tu bahut kush dikh raha hai. Kya hai yeh surprise?"

Karan: "Jo mujhse tujhse pehle heen kehna chahiye tha."

Back at Baldev and Gunjan's house...

Baldev was busy having his breakfast and didn't know why ever since that diary incident with Veera, he could not stop thinking about her. But things were back to the way it used to be between them. Their usual nok jhok and fights, like nothing had happened.

Baldev (to himself): "Baldev, kya ho raha hai tujhe? Uss Veera ke bare mein main kyu soch raha hoon? Woh pagal ladki sirf meri dushman rahegi, aur kuch nahin.

The phone began to ring and Gunjan picked it up. It was Veera.

Gunjan: "Kya hua Veera?"

Whatever the conversation was about between Veera and Gunjan, suddenly Gunjan's eyes widened and she said

Gunjan: "Kya, sach! Karan ne sach much woh kiya?"

Gunjan was so loud that Baldev couldn't help but eavesdrop on the conversation.

Gunjan: "Main abhi vaha tere ghar aa rahi hoon."

Baldev: "Ab kya hua? Tujhe abhi kyun uss Veera ke ghar jaana hai?"

Gunjan: "Veerji, aap yakeen nahin karenge, Veera ne bahut khushi ki baat kee hai. Karan ne use woh shaher wale jo dete hain na, promise ring, jaise sagai ki angoothi ki tarah, use de di."

Gunjan was looking very happy when she said this. Baldev who was busy drinking his tea began to cough.

Baldev: "K..Kya? Veera ki sagai Karan se? Yeh nahin ho sakta...Mera matlab hai, acchi khabar hai. Kum se kum ab woh bhootni is pind chod kar jaigi aur mera dimaag nahin khaigi."

But Baldev couldn't help but feel anger and irritation at Veera.

Baldev (thinking to himself): "Yeh Veera aisa kar kaise sakti hai. Sirf apne bare mein sochti hai. Usse toh pata bhi nahin ki uske parivar par kitna bada karz hai uss Surjit Singh ki vajah se."

Gunjan was going to Veera's house to congratulate her when she turned to ask Baldev:

Gunjan: "Veerji, aap bhi aiye na Veera ko badhai dene. Waise bhi woh ab 2 haftoh mein videsh jaane waali hai."

Baldev: "Haan, haan, chal hum dono chalte hain Veera ko badhai dene?"

At Ranvi and Veera's house...

Veera was home all alone when Baldev and Gunjan arrived. Baldev couldn't help but look straight at Veera's ring finger to confirm whether she was actually giving her vaada to Karan of all people. Sure enough, Veera had on a gold ring on her ring finger.

Veera: "Arre wah Baldev tub hi mujhe badhai dene aaya hai?"

Baldev: "Haan, mujhe bahut khushi hai ke tu bahut jald iss pind ko chod ke ja rahi hai uss Karan ke saath."

Baldev couldn't help but notice that Veera was looking very pretty in the salwaar kameez suit she had on. The earrings and bangles really brought out her beauty even more.

Veera: "Oi tu teekh toh hai na? Aise mujhe ghoor ghoor kar kyun dekh raha hai?"

Baldev: "Tujhe ghoor nahin raha hoon. Soch raha hoon ki bechare Karan ne tujhme kya dekha ki tujhe usne promise ring diya?"

Just then Karan came over to Veera's place.

Karan: "Veera, good tu ghar pe hai. Mujhe tujhse kuch baat karni thi."

Baldev: "Arre, haan haan, Karan main aur Gunjan toh nikal hi rahe the, tujhe Veera se apni parivar se milane aur apni zindagi ki planning karni hai na."

Karan looked confused by what Baldev said.

Karan: "Matlab? Main kuch samjha nahin?"

Veera and Gunjan quickly looked at each other nervously.

Veera: "Nahin, kuch nahi Karan. Yeh Baldev bhi na kuch bhi kehta rehta hai. Chal hum woh zaroori baat karte hain. Bye Gunjan didi aur Baldev. Aur thank you badhai dene ke liye."

Baldev couldn't put a finger on it exactly, but he knew that something was up. What was Veera upto? And why did Karan look confused when Baldev mentioned Karan's engagement to Veera?

Back at Baldev and Gunjan's house...

Baldev (thinking to himself): "Kuch to hai jo Veera mujhe bata nahin rahi Karan aur uske bare mein. Jo bhi hain, main pata kar ke hi rahunga."

Baldev decided that there was only one person who might answer his questions: Karan.

In Karan's room...

Baldev: "Karan, mujhe tujhse ek zaroori baat karni thi."

Karan: "Haan, bol, kya baat hai?"

Baldev: "Kya, tu aur Veera... ek doosre se pyaar karte ho aur tune use ek promise ring di?"

Karan: "Promise ring, kya? Tu yeh kya keh raha hai? Mazaak kar raha hai na tu? Main Veera se pyaar nahin karta. Maine toh use yeh kaha tha ki mujhe pyaar ho gaya hai, tere pind ki ladki, Gurpreet se. Kyun Veera ne tujhse kya kaha?"

Baldev couldn't believe it. Veera and his sister, Gunjan had both played such a trick on him, thinking that he would finally confess to Veera that he loves her too.😡

Baldev: "Arre, nahin, kuch nahin, bas maine socha ki tum dono ek saath ghoomte rehte ho, toh shayad tum dono ek doosre se pyaar karte ho. Lekin Gurpreet bahut acchi ladki hai. "

Baldev (thinking to himself): "Veera, tujhe kya laga, ki tu aur Gunjan mujhe bewakoof banate aur main bas devdas ki tarah tujhse bol deta ki mujhe tujhse pyaar hain aur tere bina nahin jee sakta?" Main Baldev Singh hoon, iss pind da sher, aur hone wala sarpanch. Yeh khel main bhi khel sakta hoon."

Baldev gave his usual scheming smile.

The next day...

Veera had gone to buy some things that Chaiji had asked for, when she saw Baldev there and he was not alone. One of the other pind girls, Jasmeet was by his side laughing at what he was saying.

Veera: "Yeh Jasmeet Baldev ke saath kya kar rahi hai? Voh Baldev ko aise dekh rahi hai jaise woh uska pati ho. Aur yeh Baldev kab se iss Jasmeet se baat karne laga? Voh toh uske type ki bhi nahin hai."

Veera had had enough, and decided to go and take action.

Jasmeet: "Baldev,aap ko toh filmo mein jaana chahiye. Aap itne handsome lagte ho. Aapko toh mujh jaisi ladki ke saath honi chahiye, Veera ki tarah nahin, jo har baar aapse ladai jhagda kare aur aapko neecha dikhai."

Baldev: "Haan, yeh tu ne sahi kaha.Veera toh kabhi mere layak hi nahin thi. Tum jaisi pyaari, sanskari ladkiyon ke beech, Veera toh iss pind ki ladaaku hai."

Veera (trying to be sweet but felt like killing Jasmeet): "Baldev, tu yahan kya kar raha hai. Aur aaj pehli baar tu yahan apne chamcho ke bina ghoom raha hai aur voh bhi Jasmeet ke saath."

Baldev: " Kyu Veera, jalan ho rahi hai ki? Jasmeet na yahan apni saheliyo se milne aayi hai, lekin use pind dekhna tha, toh main usse pind dikha raha hoon."

Veera: "Accha, kya nek soch hai teri Baldev."

Veera noticed Jasmeet was holding on to Baldev's arm and couldn't take it anymore.

Veera: "Baldev, mujhe tujhse baat karni hai.

Baldev didn't hear what Veera said as he was busy looking at Jasmeet and smiling at her.

Veera felt excluded, and ignored by Baldev for the first time. Any other time, whenever Baldev would see Veera alone, he always had something to say, but today he was busy with Jasmeet.

Veera: "Baldev!"

Baldev finally looked away from Jasmeet and said: "haan haan, a raha hoon."

Baldev: "Kya hai Veera. Tu mujhe kyun tang kar rahi hai, Karan nahin hai ki tujhse baat karne?"

Veera: "Tu iss Jasmeet se kyu mil raha hai? Voh tujhe bas maska maar rahi hai taaki tu use pind dikhane le jayega. Voh bilkul matlabi hai."

Baldev: "Accha, tujhe yeh kaise pata? Aur tu kyu pareshaan ho rahi hai? Tu toh ab Karan ke saath hai na, mujhe apne haal pe chod de."

Veera: "Nayi chod sakti kyunki main tujhse...

Baldev looked at Veera with a smile. Veera was finally going to say it.

Baldev: "Tu kya? Bol."

"Veera, Veera!", it was Gunjan.

Gunjan: "Veera, tu yahan hai. Chal teri beeji tujhse baat karna chahti hai. Bahut naraaz thi woh."

Baldev: "Arre ek minute Gunjan. Veera.. bata kya bolne wali thi tu?"

Veera: "Kuch nahin. Tujhe baad mein bataongi."

Veera and Gunjan left.

Baldev: "Yeh Gunjan bhi na. Galat time par aa tapakti hai. Main yahan Veera se sach ugalvane wala hi tha. Koi baat nahin. Agli baar jeet meri hogi."

Baldev smiled.

At Veera's house...

When Veera arrived home, she was about to go talk to beeji in her room, when she heard Beeji speaking to Ranvi.

Ratan: "Bas Ranvi, tujhe Veera ko sach batana hi hoga. Woh do din mein England ja rahi hai. Batade usko ke uski padhai ke vaste jo paise tune Surjit Singh se li voh hum chuka nahin sakte, aur tere papaji ka sapna adhoora hi reh gaya kyunki hamari khet bhi uss Surjit Singh le jaiga kyunki Veera aur padhai karne wali hai."

Ranvi: "Nahin beeji. Please aap Veera ko yeh sach mat bataiye. Use itna bura lagega."

Veera couldn't believe what she was hearing. Tears began to roll down Veera's cheeks. How could she have let this happen?

Veera (thinking to herself): "Yeh sab meri galti hai. Veerji mere liya kitna kuch karte hai, aur maine kya kiya? Unke pyaar aur vishwas ko tod kar unki aur hamare ghar ki khushi cheen li?"

Veera: "Veerji, aapne mujhse itni badi baat chupay?"

Ranvi and Ratan were shocked to see that Veera was there the whole time listening to their whole conversation.

Ranvi: "Woh Veera, tu galat samajh rahi hain. Aisi koi baat nahin. Sab theekh hai."

Veera: Nahin veerji, galti meri hai. Main hi aapko samajh nahin payi. Aapne sab kuch dauv par laga diya, maine kya kiya? Aapke aur beeji ke vishwas ko todkar apni hi khushiyan main reh rahi thi. Sab meri vajah se hua hai."

Before Ranvi could say anything Veera walked out of the house in tears.

Ranvi: "Veera, ruk! Kahaan ja rahi hai?"

Ratan: "Jaane de usse Ranvi. Yeh toh ek din hona hi tha. Kuch der baad woh khud ghar vapas aajaigi. Ab use kuch waqt chahiye sach ka samna karne."

Ranvi hoped that beeji was right, but he didn't know why he felt like something wasn't right.

Many hours went by, and Veera was still not back home.

Chaiji: "Cheechdi, abhi tak ghar nahin lauti? Raat ke dus bajne wale hai. Mujhe bahut chinta ho rahi he. Chote chand mujhe lagta hai tujhe usse dhoodne jaana chahiye."

Ratan who would normally not show much concern for Veera, was actually worried and concerned about Veera's safety.

Ratan: "Haan, Ranvi, tujhe usse dhoondne jaana chahiye."

Ranvi: "Haan beeji aur chaiji, aap sahi keh rahi hai. Main usse dhoondne jaunga."

Ranvi went to the usual places where Veera would usually go and spend time, including going to all their neighbors houses to find out if Veera was at their place.

It was already eleven and Ranvi could not find Veera anywhere. He decided he had to go and ask Baldev for help.

At Baldev and Gunjan's house...Someone was knocking at the door.

Balwant: "Arre kaun hai itni raat ko?"

Baldev who woke up hearing the sound of the door kock heard Ranvi's voice.

Ranvi: "Taiji, kya Veera yahan hai? Voh shaam se ghar vapas nahi aayi hai?"

Balwant: "Arre nahin Ranvi, yahan toh Veera nahin hai. Bechari, itni raat akeli kaha gayi hogi."

Baldev began to worry. This wasn't like Veera to run away from home.

Ranvi: "Kya Baldev ghar pe hai?"

Baldev knew what Ranvi was about to ask and was already getting ready to go and help him find Veera.

Baldev: "Chal Ranvi. Main bhi chalta hoon tere saath Veera ko dhoondne."

Baldev (thinking to himself): "Kahin Veera meri wajah se toh nahin ghar se bhaag gayi kyunki ussne mujhe Jasmeet ke saath dekh liya? Yeh kabootri bhi na kabhi kisi ko shaant se nahin jeene deti. Yahan bechara Ranvi, unki beeji aur chaiji itne pareshaan hai. Aur mujhe bhi chain se nahin jeene degi."

Baldev left in his car and Ranvi went in his bike. They looked in other places which they were left to check.

Where could Veera be? Will she be okay? Will Baldev and Veera finally confess their true feelings for each other?
