Dude after the leap India would free from English, I guess that time there was no "kingdom"...but at least I'm sure that there was no war to get a kingdom... So plot and timing doesn't match!!

Good point. It would be way past 1947. I hope the writers don't make a faux pas here.

The Privy purses weren't taken away from the kings till Indira Gandhi came into the scene in the 60s. What could happen is that private revenge can continue in the family or between kings...so long as it does not affect the Indian state.
The royal families retained their titles and palaces but not much else.
