Oh dear Bertie I don't watch any show other than ETR currently. When I change channels I just catch glimpse.
You write very well.

You know what the audience is waiting from long time for the unmasking in KB😛.

ETR has been better compared to all others. Though I knew it would have to come down to the bedroom scene cant digest it

I am only wanting more scenes between Rana and Gayathri other than gayu giving ultimatum and Rana feeling guilty. They shouldn't rush through their showcase of feelings.

It's always a pleasure to read a post that attempts to look at the story from Ranaji's point of view. And a bonus when it is written by you!

Allow me some levity for the moment. Err ...she faced near death because of him, not because of her love for him. Unless of course, you are referring to the chandelier cleaning -- to cut costs and repay the debt by Diwali -- which resulted in that almost fatal bump to the head.

His turn to walk the talk!

For Gayatri, the problem is that she has not heard all of his talk. He had talked to her verbally about his all-consuming love for Sulakshana and had wondered if he would ever be able to love her in the same way. Yes, he has talked to her and told her that she will always be his wife and that no one can take that away from her. That is one talk that he will walk now.

The talk about his love for Gayatri is something that has not been verbalised. As you mentioned, she is aware of it, and is probably calling him out on it.

Now, he hasn't talked to her about how he does not feel for Sulakshana anymore. Yes, he about that to his grandmother about it. But, that is a talk that he (and I) would consider inappropriate to talk with Gayatri, a wife. Now, that is a predicament indeed. He cannot talk to Gayatri about it, but has to walk it.

Perhaps, once Sulakashana is outed as a fake, they can discuss this and he can reveal that he has comprehended that he has moved on.

Drashti is a good actor, but also a director's actor. So, I am a tad bit confused. The looks that she directed Sulakshana's way after the dining table fiasco and after accepting sugar from Sulakshana were those of a woman challenged, a woman defying the other woman, not a hint of trace of repentance there, not a hint of being concerned about the repercussions of displeasing Sulakshana (another attempt at leaving the palace or slitting her wrists). Does she already suspect something and is she merely playing along? That would explain why she is making Ranaji walk the talk. Or was that just a slip-up in the characterisation? Or is she only too real, only too human?

The audience as a whole has a problem with ranas portrayal this whole track
It's the directors fault largely. He is coming across as a pendulum swinging between both women. I would rather have seen Gayathri not forcing his hand but he himself introspecting and getting out of this triangle tangle.

Only because Gayathri is doing everything she can and taking it upon her makes him feel guiltier but where is the love? It has to be vocalised . Not because she is his deewani but because he is her deewana.

We had enough if sulakshana and ranas s love . We are getting every minute if gayathris love for rana.

We need to see ranas love for gayathri. His tadap for her. Please give it.

Let's not forget G's contribution to the mess.

R was stalling for time in crowing S.G interfered and brought the whole thing on herself.
She agreed to be the maid out her guilt over ruling her husband's wish & RNJ tried some backdoor diplomacy and got himself into another mess.

I don't see any madness in love here, plain stupidity and rashness from both sides.Unbecoming of their positions.May be that's the point, how unfit these two are when caught in problems.

Both of them are competing to win the Idiot award here...he won't open his mouth and she won't keep it shut...

Also, I think there has to be a reason why RNJ has not expressed his feelings vocally...because he has done so in every way...he called her the biggest truth of his life...I don't know what that is if not love...and his desperation to have her by his side and being willing to do anything to ensure that...if this is not madness, this is not toot toot kar pyaar karna, I don't know what is...

He might have expressed himself on the night of KC if S hadn't turned up...my feeling is he wants to say the words after the mess is resolved...not when he is not yet sure how to resolve this mess and how acceptable it would be to G..and yet, like a stubborn kid, he will simply not let go...although, to be fair to him, it is also because he knows she really does not want to leave him...
He knows she will hurt as much as she will if they are parted..he wants to to right by her too, spare them both the agony of separation and find ways to get out of the mess together..!

He did...didn't he...aapke pyaar mei humein zillat bhi manzoor...bhagoda Raja...ufff...the man kept hitting them out of the park...

A king who wants to be a husband instead ..

While he eventually won't have to give up anything, he has proven that his love for G is greater than anything else in his world..Actually he did the day he told her she was his life's greatest truth...not his power...not his ancestry...but she..⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quoting from another convo we had...

@bold

He said the words...although to me, they seemed superfluous almost...they were not needed...what he had done said so much more!

But she needed to hear them and not once but he said twice in English and explained again in hindi!
Why couldn't they extend the scene? Always shortening all good scenes.

Berts, With these two actors, i feel lot of talks are superficial . Their bond is tangible. They don't need lengthy dialogues.

After all this, which woman would wait for proof to accuse somebody?

I quite liked that they maintained G's English deficiency 😆 She was the innocent talkative girl who read desi romance again. I like that Gayathri and it was nice to see Ranaji's confession when she was in that mode.

@ bold

Their best scenes together have been non verbal...

And G was fine...considering the period the show is set in, even someone with basic comprehension of English might have been thrown...'I love you' was not like 'Sorry' or 'Thank You'...1
