Lovely posts and lively discussions, ladies!

Given the Queen's sudden swooning act and the physician's pronouncement, one is inclined to wonder if this was part of the Queen Mother's "fall-in-love" script with her trusted aide-de-camp ready at hand to carry out her instructions.

However, it is possible to imagine another circumstance too. Thanks to the train of events, we have a King who sets off with his Queen, as a commoner and without an escort. Could it be that someone took advantage of the events and engineered the situation such that the King is nudged towards leaving the palace without an escort and going to an unknown place as a commoner? Yes, I am looking at Yashoda for now! It could just as well be possible that someone who is motivated either by politics or other motives (a la Rebecca) engineered this situation.

Some observations on episode 60:

  • The King ordered the manservant to taste the soup. Given the several attempts on their lives, it is perfectly reasonable to be cautious. And, it was only a few hours earlier, that the Queen Mother had exposed to him how the Queen's drink had been spiked on the day of the coronation ceremony. Also, it is a perfectly reasonable practice for Royalty to take such precautions. However, the time lag between the ingestion and the effect is too small to be able to ascertain if the food had indeed been medicated or poisoned. So, unless there is complete chain of control for the soup from the kitchen to the bedchamber, what did conferring the responsibility of food taster on the manservant achieve?
  • The King was flummoxed by the fictional Charudutt and Amrapali's behaviour. He could only confer the title of nincompoops on them. "Yeh donon bewakoof hain! Donon sunsaan raat ko akele bahar kya kar rahe hain? Kisi dushman ne waar kar diya to?" If only the Queen had her mirror at hand! Err ... Your Highness?

Some observations on episode 61:

  • The King slept right through the conversation between the Queen and Yashoda. How often does a seasoned warrior do that? Or was it meant to indicate that, for the first time since the "girl" entered his life, he finally got some restful slumber? Why, oh, why couldn't they just step away and converse?
  • And, pray, who cleans chandeliers while the bulbs are still emitting light and switched on?
  • In any event, if one goes with the most plausible explanation of the Queen being medicated or drugged, there are two possible sources of the medication. One, the soup. The King ought to have checked on the manservant whom he had made to taste the food before serving it to his Queen. Imagine if the manservant too were throwing tantrums and exhibiting unreasonable behaviour before swooning! Two, the medicine that was administered to the Queen. It helps to narrow down the suspects.
PS: I'm here only for a brief visit. I may disappear unannounced or without responding to a post. My apologies in advance.

Hola all. I will catch up with the posts later today. Just stopped by to say hello hi, bye bye.

Bertie - Sid was unwell. The first thought that came to my mind was how did this poor guy manage carrying her around for so long when he was unwell.

I always notice the little things and that affects my views of the episode/story overall. Unfortunately, slight OCD tendencies I might have 😳

Loved, loved the way he put the napkin on her and moved the shoe aside. I think these little things are what Sid brings to the character, it is not in the writing or direction. Let us not forget the nods. 😃

So now we have two fan clubs going on? Knight in white on white horse and RNJ's royal nods FC?😆

Edit - Sush agreeing with you, I love his dialogue delivery. He has put in a lot of effort to speak with slow deliberation, measured as you put it, to give the royal effect. AR does the same too. (except in the scene where she was shouting at Koki for insulting Gayu in the kitchen)

DD-SK looked like a dream last few days especially.

Yaay...from zero clubs to two...I am all for it, Nandy...

Yes, together they look like a dream...there is this one shot I saw in one of the segments...oozing with beauty...

Don't me get started on AR, her dialogue delivery and her adaa...she deserves a club all her own...never knew she had this kind of talent in her!

never seen that show...but I hate Gul just as much and anything to do with her..with you, Sim!

😆
Trust me, stay away from her shows. she is a psycho who abuses the creative power to torture actors & fans.she is just a sadist, who has no business sense or any other sense.

I don't mind when CVs get it wrong with twists or want to tell a story in a way different from what's running in my mind when i watch a show but that one ...

I'll stop before i work myself into an uncontrollable rage😆

@bold

This I kept thinking of...because I half expected him to have her throat in a death grip...that would have been more warrior like...

But then she couldn't have looked all lovelorn...so I excused it on the grounds that he was completely exhausted...

The conspiracy angle that you've brought up, apart from the plausible RM- Yashoda conspiracy, is interesting. Someone who plotted to get the king diverted and away from the palace. In fact there is a kidnap attempt and an attack coming up next apparently...hmmm...interesting!

@anobserver - Your posts are interesting to read and your take on Yahshoda & sending the King & Queen as commoner got me thinking. There's a freedom struggle angle coming up and possibly Yash is a freedom fighter and was leading them to a trap.
I don't really think RM would go to this extent to get her son fall for her new DIL.I'm inclined to think,if she had known abt the snake bite, she wouldn't shot RGD.

At least RNJ looked concerned...😆

Some times I feel like dainty and tantrum throwing women get all the attention...I should learn a thing or two ...and try on my hubby...😆 Being too self sufficient and straight forward...doesn't help...does it???

That cleaning bit and unconsciousness drama was only done to make them rush to Dragah and that is why it looked forced...

@Bold: Its not good to be good all the time..😆

For a change we are getting extreme mood swings FL rather than ML 😛
