the characters butchering at high yesterday...

n dusra show ka compare mat karo iha we know what that was ...but this is another show...against IF rule ...😳

Yesterday's episode was totally a disaster!

The Gayathri and the RNJ whom I had seen the other day were not the same people whom I've been seeing just the day before it.
CV's lost their minds totally.

@Krishna the problem is not with character or with CVs. The real problem lies in the TRP system. Actually the TRP system in the current format does not give any scope for CVs to build a character. Because TRP audience only want door mat female protoganist, dumb abusive male protoganist.

Man abusing woman, woman tolerating everything and becoming ideal wife etc etc.. is the staple diet for TRP audience. Basically certain stereotypes are needed which if you could see Ekta's and Rashmi Sharma's shows give amply.

Anything that doesn't stick to this standard doesn't get TRP and CVs have to circumvent things for TRP. Sometimes this is tolerable and if still TRP doesn't pick up as expected they will butcher it more to bring insane things so that TRP goes higher.

I can see a dramatic change in Badthameez Dil once it moved from TV to online. Characters are given more freedom and they don't need to stick to certain standards.

And character development is possible only if you make finite series like Everest or Ek tha Chander Ek thi Sudha where things are pre shot.

And to some extend limited edition shows like EHT, certain character development can happen. Else for shows that are launched so that they can run for years, there is nothing called character development. It is changed according to what TRP aunty wants.
