Episode 40 Take: Shahi Daawat or Shahi Sham??

Is it just me or everyone else too felt that the whole Dinner table scene was dragged for the Entire episode 😕... I mean one full episode discussing veg vs non-veg food 😕 .. And in entire episode Gayatri stands mute suddenly loosing her voice and confidence and there all Ranaji says is disgusting in his snobbish way and later thinks how Gayatri is not fit for this house 😕 .. If CVs waste one full episode on one dinner scene , then I cant even imagine when these 5 days r gonna complete .. After 5 months ?? 😕

I dont want to b negative and I m hoping that these kitchen politics episodes r just to pull in Trp viewers so that once Trps r stable above 2 , then CVs can go back to the main RaGa love story but in the process I dont want CVs to butcher Gayatri and Ranaji's characterisations .. Neither Ranaji is some rich spoilt brat who is insensitive to other's emotions nor Gayatri is some mute doll who has no voice to say in her defence ... We hv seen Ranaji being a gentleman and Gayatri courageous enough to speak in her defence in the past episodes .. So for me its a bit difficult to adjust myself to this new Ranaji and Gayatri post marriage ... I m fine with kitchen politics too if that brings in the trps but at least dont ruin the main characters to show kitchen politics and kalakaris of Chachis and Badi Ranimas ..

I m a bit disappointed with Rajmata today ... I can understand that her intention was not wrong when she decided to mix non-veg in Gayatri's prepared veg food as she knew that on dinner table Gayatri will b humiliated for preparing veg food which is against the rules of Royalty since its compulsary to serve non-veg food only for Royals 😕 and then Kokila and co r gonna hv the last laugh over it 😡 .. So to save Gayatri's reputation as the Queen of Amerkot , Rajmata had no choice but to mix non-veg in the food without telling Gayatri about it ; But this is where Rajmata went wrong 🤔 ; She should hv taken Gayatri into confidence while making this change or at least told Gayatri about the rules of kitchen so that Gayatri could hv prepared herself in advance 🤔 ;Also Yashodha could hv then helped Gayatri in kitchen to prepare non-veg food na 🤔...Rajamta being a smart woman should hv realised that if Gayatri suddenly sees non-veg in her food , she would puke being a vegeterian and that will as it is being out the truth in front of all that Gayatri dint prepare the food .. So how can Rajmata do such a big blunder

For once I felt Badi Ranima was right when she told Rajmata that she tried to hide Gayatri's weakness instead of teaching her the protocols of being a Royalty ... Badi Ranima obviously got a point here .. Though inside Badi Ranima must b gloating that Rajmata did this blunder and gave me enough reasons to prove that Gayatri is not suitable for Royal family but unfortunately she did have a point today ... Badi Ranima's tone was again rude especially when she was taunting the Saas-Bahu jodi of Rajmata-Gayatri and how they hv lack of communication between them or when she was sarcastically telling how Rajmata by mistake brought a Cow amidst all the tigers (I felt like saying paper tigers ..yeah right 😆) but in a way Rajmata today gave Badi Ranima some valid reasons to taunt ...Again I repeat Rajmata's only mistake here was mixing nonveg in Gayatri's food without informing her ... This is where she gave indirect victory to her enemies ...


Even after this mistake , I love Rajmata for being upright and brutally honest ... She could hv kept quiet when Badi Ranima asked who mixed non veg in the food .. But Rajmata was brave enough to confess that she did it and also told the reason for it 👍🏼 ; Also she dint get angry on Gayatri either when she puked in front of all or when she confessed that she dint prepare the food ... Rajmata understood that mayb it was her mistake to keep Gayatri in dark about the food habits of all and so she just defended her actions instead of playing the blame game on Gayatri which I really liked about Rajmata 👍🏼 ...

Coming to Gayatri , today I m a bit disappointed with her too ; Why dint she defend herself today when Badi Ranima went on lecturing her about how she need to change her food habits and start cooking or eating non-veg 😕 ...Why will she change her eating habits here ? I m sorry but one cannot force someone to eat non veg whether its 1040 or 2015 ...Yes being a Royal , she might hv to compromise a bit and start cooking non-veg for her family which is fine but obviously one cannot force her to start eating non veg too .. This is where I was hoping Gayatri to speak up in her defence especially when she was honest enough to admit that she dint make this food as she was not told earlier about the rule .. So after saying this , I was expecting her to reason out with Badi Ranima regarding the food habits and how one cannot b forced to eat or cook non veg food in the name of Royalty but she just kept crying in mute mode which is so unlike the Gayatri we know ...Even before marriage she used to speak up in her defence when Badi Ranima taunted her while giving their khandaani nath but I remember how well Gayatri defended herself to shut Badi Ranima's mouth .. Where was that Gayatri today ?? .. I want Gayatri to b like Rajmata who even if does anything wrong , is still courageous enough to defend herself .. Expecting the same from Gayatri too

Coming to Ranaji , he continues to disappoint me ... So he saw his wife suddenly puking and without trying to find out the reason , he just gives a snobbish reaction and gets up from the table without eating and leaves ... Again thats not how a king or even a husband behaves in front of all if suddenly his wife starts puking .. Dint he say last night to his Chacha that from today onwards Gayatri is his responsibility ?? Where has that Ranaji gone again ? 😕 ..What if Gayatri would hv puked because of some food poisoning or other reason ..Is it not a husband or a king's duty to take care of his wife or praja's health even if u hate that person ?? 🤔... He can continue to hate Gayatri but at least not loose humanity na ...


Again Chacha and his wife r badmouthing Gayatri in loud voice to make sure Ranaji hears it and Ranaji easily falls in the trap thinking Gayatri is not suitable for this family .. 😕 .. So now he will even believe what Chacha or Kokila says .. This is not even mills and boonish Because mills and boons dude might carry the arrogance or attitude but will never fall in trap of these small time villains like Chacha or Kokila ... Ranaji is simply being reduced to a snob now who has no heart or even brains anymore ... Again I dont want his character to b reduced to a furniture showpiece in the palace who just makes a guest appearence in every episode throwing some attitude but has no connection to whats going around in the house .. I expect him to b more involved in whats happening in the house or how his enemies r trying to trap Gayatri ..


Felt bad for Gayatri's brothers .. They came to take their sister for pagphera ritual but has no idea whats going inside and how Gayatri's first ritual of rasoi post marriage got ruined badly .. On top of that Ranaji just walks off from there without even acknowledging the brothers as if they dont exist for him .. Again insensitive 👎🏼 .. And now more torture as per precap with Kokila-Chacha , Ranaji etc etc all planning how to make her pagphere rasam unsuccessful ...sighh .. I know Rajmata will somehow convince Ranaji to get Gayatri back in the house and make pagphere rasam successful but that might happen after some share of torture coming Gayatri's way

Overall I felt the whole eating scene was stretched a bit too far in today's episode .. Starting was good and interesting but then it started to drag .. Dialogue exchange between Badi Ranima and Rajmata blaming each other was interesting as both r good actors , so its always pleasure to watch these war of words between them but let me b honest ,I m watching this show for RaGa and their love story which I was hoping will start post marriage ..So if I m not getting that , then even good acting from the veterans too will not interest me ...CVs need to balance out the love story and kitchen politics parallelally .,. Overdose of anything can b dangerous ..

I have very limited attention span for any serial. Probably only for DD and Anitha Raj I can keep watching this show. Show is on the slower side from beginning but it is about time to take the story little faster.

I want something of the love story to start but alas .Sigh.
The irritation brought by the bahabhis is now successfully provided by chacha and kokila .
I hope CVs don't drag too much .
We need more RaGa what's suppose to be a love story!!!

I m not hving much hopes tomorrow either because its Pagphere rasam , so Kokila and co ka further plotting ... only hope is we may get some sweet family bonding scenes between Gayatri and her parents ..

Thats why I dint like this 5 day drama ... god knows in serial world when 5 days will complete and the RaGa track will actually start 😕
