Drashti Dhami who is busy shooting her wedding sequence in the Zee TV show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani does not feel comparisons to her big day which had happened earlier this year. "Real life wedding's are quite different from reel life. There was emotional excitement, Here we are very busy just trying to figure what to do, things are really chaotic right now." Talking about the wedding coustmes she said, It is tough to handle all those very heavy ornamental wedding saris given the pre independence time period. Luckily my inputs are taken as to what colors/shades suit me etc."
Talking about her real wedding Drashti says personally, "I would have preferred a small group of 2O odd guests compromising just our immediate families and close friends. however living in a city like Mumbai, you are obliged to call all your relatives near and far. Also since I am the last girl in my mom's family to get hitched, they want to do it with all the pomp and grandeur at their disposal."
Her ideal wedding would have been on the beach, "I would have loved to get married in Goa but the cost of flying some many people down and housing them in hotels would have been too much. If five years down the road this show still runs may be I might have a second white wedding in the beach state of India or even overseas." Among the places she would to love to visit with her husband would be Croatia, she had recently been to neighboring Greece .
As usual Drashti was quite reticent to speak about her camera shy better half Neeraj Khemka. When pushed on the question of why marry a non actor? "simple for love, it is a personal choice. I have seen several of my actor colleagues dating or settling down with their industry compatriots and they seem happy. The industry was not called at your wedding? "i have very few TV friends, off hand I can name only Sanaya Irani and Nakul Mehta. Karan Singh Grover has become quite busy off late but we had spoken during my marriage and he had wished me luck."
She also more or less ruled out the chances of Neeraj and her taking part in some couple reality show, "we have not been offered one yet, so how can I decisively say yes/no? but I don't think we will do it."
