At present I am not watching any hindi serials in TV. But as my sisters were watching and I was curious about DD's new project, saw couple of episodes( just DD scenes) and I was shocked seeing her.
What happened to her beauty? She is looking so old in this serial. I last saw her in JDJ and up to that she was very pretty. Even saw her wedding pics- she looked glamorous there as well. But in this serial she is looking old, sick and absolutely not pretty. Specially all her sarees are terrible. Forget about me, even my mom will never wear anything so gaudy like those sarees. Who is selecting those for her?
Maana she is a simple girl, may be they are trying to portray an aged girl too. But she is looking 40 here. Who wears those sarees with golden stripes and ridiculous color combination! Uparse her blouse are always lite color, sometimes white. Who wears cotton blouse with silk saree? As far as I know those days simple meant girls who used wear less ornaments. Fine! Give her at least lace in the blouse, may be frills------as those were fashion those days. I saw old movies and ribbon on hair was a regular thing those days. I think DD could look normal with ribbon. With that if she is a normal girl, who doesn't like to dress up well, or not aware of fashion---------why she is wearing expansive silk sarees? They could give her some cotton, with lace. I saw one episode where she was wearing a green cotton saree with lace----------she looked much better.
I have complaint about the makeup too. I can't believe they can't hide her dark circles under eye. Sometimes I feel so irritated that if I can I'd do her makeup. I mean how hard is it to hide dark circle these days? What kind of makeup they are giving her? Really shocked to see DD. She is a beautiful girl. But that doesn't mean she will wear all those gaudy attires and bad makeup.
