yes that's right that at that time marriage & children are goal of women's life, but my nani went school by cycle everyday so cycling or education was not that much prohibited even i know some of our relatives ladies who were driving the car too,my grandmother went alone podicherry to meet Ghandhiji after my uncle who was freedom fighter.even many women participated in freedom fight & education level for upper class women was high, there were only english medium schools were available, kamala nehru, sarojini naidu, mrs. kriplani, gayatri devi, madhavrao sindhia's mother,Indira gandhi, mahadevi varma & many more were well educated, but only upper class ladies, even middle class ladies were also studied up to 7th standard or s.s.c & it was prestigious for family,in case of our serial, gayatri too an uper class girl so study was not that big deal, but yes manglik hona bahut bada gunah hai joki 2015 me bhi vahi hal hai may be more worst & I personally experieced it

Well I'm glad to know the situation of women's education was not as bad. Yeah but the manglik superstition we still have to combat and overcome.
