@ archana good literary works thought ahead of their time. That's why they remain evergreen. More than half century later ur able to connect to all characters. Especially it is not easy to show protagonists cross boundaries and still make audience empathize with them

I disagree.
I actually love the lead actress. For a relatively new actress, she sure can act. I cannot imagine anyone else as Sudha. To me, she is PERFECT for the role.

I do agree with you. She is the Sudha. I like her acting. 😊

The actress really tortured me last week I was about to give up on friday coz I was so tired of her and felt the show was so boring until I saw the precap of chandar and Pam. No offence to the actresses fan I presume she is new. But I feel because the show is just 20 episodes that a more experienced actress should have been chosen to do this role. if this was a daily saas bahu show her not being that good would be acceptable because as the show goes on she would have a chance to grow as an actress as time went on. But in 20 episodes I think 1 of the experienced actresses who have been on tv should have been chosen for this character. I was reading whatever info I could find on the show and 1 article said that the sudha is supposed to be beautiful and I dnt even feel like she is that I was thinking of her as makeup ka rani whenever I saw her. Not that there is anything wrong with her makeup and she is supposed to be a cute girl who does herself up. But I dnt like it sometimes. I find her terribly annoying as well her chandar chants is quite annoying and sickening. I guess the character is supposed to be like this but there are a lot of accomplished actresses who could have done a better job in this role. Hope I didn't offend any1 just felt that this character could have been made less ordinary and annoying if some1 a little bit more experienced had done the role. But the actress is doing a good job but I just expected a little bit more from her character although I do feel that the actress is playing her role accordingly

Your views on the actresses but it is your view.
We can't all be the same, we are of course individuals, genetically made up that way and socially and culturally brought up to think and do things differently. I respect you views, must agree to disagree at times, that is how this world works, one must question, answer and question again for the world and its' inhabitants to live otherwise there would only be chaos.
However, my view is the actress who is playing the role of Sudha is doing a fantastic job in my opinion, she fits the picture of what Sudha is in innocence as well as inquisitive by nature. Pammi's character too is relatable because what is being shown currently reflects what she feels and how she has chosen to live her life. We have only heard part of her life story so far and is left to interpret the rest for the moment. TC Alex

Well I have a different opinion...
I think the lead actress is very much in her role...she is almost resembling the girls of the era to which the story belongs...hats off to her stylists as well. In other shows, most lead actors take time to get into their respective roles...and as viewers we notice it and give them time...here, knowing it is finite series...actress seems well adapted to me...

I think most of the comments are the same. I respect your'll view too but the acting and the character do nothing for me unfortunately. I dnt get why the tv industry is such that a male can do as different roles as they want and not come with baggage but if u see a female lead once in a show she becomes unfresh. The characters gets beautiful dialogue and I do agree she does bring an innocence to her role and her makeup, hair is of that era and her acting has improved. Bt I just dnt like her. I like Pamela and the new girl who came in todays episode.

@ Bold
Well that's the problem of the show biz...not only TV industry but Bollywood is also like that..where heroes never age...so why to blame the actress for it.

@Bold: If this in reference to my comment let me clarify that I gave example of actress because the topic mentioned about having an established actress. My thoughts and reasoning are same for the actor too, in case of this series as its just 20 episodes long. I haven't followed any of Rahils previous work and the fact that he is coming after a break, makes it easy for me to see and accept him as Chander within a few episodes. Even if my favorite actor was portraying Chanders role right after portraying a popular character, I would have needed the time to let go of his previous roles and start seeing him as Chander. And by then the series would have gotten over. When I talked about freshness I meant it in this sense and particularly for this series, not in the context of actor vs actress.
